Temazepam, a benzodiazepine, is one of the best sleeping medications. It, unlike other hypnotics, will not alter sleep architecture (your brain waves). It is also very effective for the vast majority of people. Temazepam helps people fall asleep and stay asleep, many pills can help you fall asleep but not keep you asleep. Also other medications not as commonly used might help. Librium 25 mg is very sedating, even 50 mg if needed. You have not taken any benzodiazepines and that is a large group of medications that can help. Temazepam is the most used but the others can help too. In addition to Librium, Serax, Valium, Klonopin/Rivotril are also useful. All would help you stay asleep because they last a long time.
And some people with severe insomnia take two medications. For example a fast acting drug like Halcion which only lasts a short time and it is only good to use to fall asleep. Then Temazepam or Serax could also be taken to help keep you asleep.
Look into an antidepressant. Inability to stay asleep can be associated with depression.
i take rozerem and seroquel.
Pro Som (Estazloam) works for me! It’s cheap but I get a discount
