Get Better Sleep And Find Natural Remedies To Cure Insomnia
I’m taking 500mg of Depakote, and 100 mg of Setraline (a generic of Zoloft) once daily. Drowsiness is a side affect of both medications. Since I’ve been on both of them, the drowsiness can be really bothersome and keep me from doing things that I want to do. What can I do to get energy back??
Is it safe because on the label of tea it says if taking certain meds consult your physician. Why would this be a problem. Could this actually hurt you. Or would the abilify just not work as well?
I’m on 2 and 1/2 mgs abilify and 75 mgs of zoloft.
I’ve been taking Zoloft for about two weeks and even before taking the meds I’ve had trouble sleeping. I usually don’t fall asleep until 3 or 4 a.m. A friend of mine recommendedMelatonin. So, I bought it. Does anyone know if it’s okay to take with Zoloft?
I am taking 10mg of ambien and 25mg of zoloft. Just about every drug information page for ambien mentions that it has side effects with zoloft, but it is not incredibly clear. I have seen that taking them together significantly increases the amount of ambien in your blood.
Is it safe to take these medications together?
I am also on Zoloft 100mg at night.
This is not for insomnia, this is for Seasonal Affective Disorder. I’ve heard you are supposed to take it in the afternoon for SAD.
In Sept I weighed 140 lbs and went on Yaz (a new birth control pill that supposedly does not make you gain weight) because I have severe PMDD. In 2 months I gained 20 lbs, but on the bright side my PMDD symptoms have improved a lot.
At 160 lbs, I went on Zoloft and gained 10 lbs.
(I have social phobia, body dysmorphic disorder, and anxiety)
Then I switched to Lexapro, and gained yet another 10 lbs.
At 180 lbs, I was put on Effexor XR and my doctor told me it would help me lose weight. I gained 15 pounds.
I have been dealing with insomnia and have had no relief from any of the sleep medications out there (Ambien, Lunesta, Restoril, Rozerem, etc). My doctor prescribed me Remeron and it is the only thing to work. Sadly, it has caused me to gain another 20 lbs.
I AM SO DEPRESSED. I have gone from weighing 140 lbs before drugs, to 215 lbs, a total of 75 pounds in only 7 months and I am only 21! And, since I have BDD I can no longer go out in public because I am so ashamed.
The Zoloft caused the insomnia and to this day I cannot sleep without the Remeron, and I went off the Zoloft 5 months ago.
The Remeron causes me to be sluggish.I have no energy to even walk around. I need to get off of it. What can I take that will be sedating enough that will not cause me to gain weight, or will possibly help me lose weight?
I limit my food intake and the Effexor makes me not hungry so it’s not that I’m eating myself away. I can’t excerise due to health problems and the Remeron makes me so exhausted.
I’m going to see my doctor and discuss this with him. Any suggestions on antidepressants (possbily ones that cause sleepiness) that would help me to lose all of this weight? Anyone with a similar experience?
I am currenlty taking 50mg of Zoloft per day which is great for my anxiety and depression, but causes insomnia.
I had heard that Effexor can help relief the same symptoms, but will not cause insomnia… has anyone experienced it first hand?
I suffer from extreme anxiety and depression. I used to stay worried, nauseated and tired. I am taking zoloft which has eliminated the nausea which is great but I still get sudden anxiety attacks . You know the gut wrenching ,tightness, and fever type. I also cannot sleep at all .I cannot get my head to stop or slow down . It is constantly thinking. Any help would be appreciated . Any new meds maybe I havent tried .
