Ive been watching tv shows about BTK and other serial killers. Now ive been having nightmares about serial killers BTK in particular.You see, my step-grandfather looks just like BTK so I think its him. Is there any ways to prevent these night mares?

How to sleep better any suggestions?

I’m a 13 year old boy who can sleep properly. I’m always checking facebook, playing xbox and watching tv. I’m a couch potato! I rarely eat. I’m skinny but not that skinny! I eat bananas before I go to bed but it doesn’t work, I’ll try warm milk later. Plus my room is mildly warm. I like to be cold and my mom won’t let me put the Ac up! So I’m awake until 6 am! I haven’t slept for 2 days now! HELP!

Should I go to a sleep center?

Hi, I’m fourteen, and I rarely sleep.

It usually takes me about an hour to two hours, and in extreme nights, three to four. I don’t think this is normal at all, being a teenager, I’m supposed to sleep more, am I right?

I do have some anxiety, to the point of shaking. As in, when I see my therapist, after talking about my problems for an hour, I’m practically spazzing out. She says that’s normal though. o_O

Back to sleeping…
I don’t know if I should see a doctor, or what, maybe ask my therapist for sleep pills?

Also, on weekends, I usually stay up to the wee hours of the morning, even if I don’t want to, playing computer games, or watching tv. I try to go to bed, but after laying there for fifteen minutes, I give up, and go open up my notebook, or turn on the tv.

One more thing, I sleep a lot through the day, after not getting any sleep at night. Like, I sleep on the way to school, during Algebra (D:) and on the way home from school (that takes an hour).

What should I do? Should I go to a sleep center?

How can I cure my insomnia?




I’ve tried everything! I’ve tried Benedryl, Unisom, Elavil, Trazodone, Remeron, Rozerem, melatonin, Zoloft, Lexapro, and even all the hygiene methods like: keeping the clock away from my view, regular bedtime routine by watching TV to relax then going to be almost always around 9-10 and getting up to go lay on the sofa whenever I wake up because I can never get back to sleep after I wake up after about 4-5 hours. I’ve even tried an SAD light to help regulate my body clock. Help!!
I do have a slight depression and it’s gotten loads better from the medication and I’ve been on it for over eight weeks now. However, whenever I do get some sleep it’s never refreshing. I’m only 24 and I never really worry about anything as I’m falling asleep. Soooo… anything else?

I was watching tv the other day and I happened to see a commerical about a powder that stops snoring,but I did not catch the name or the number? Can anybody time what it is? I need it my bf has a snoring problem and this is the only thing he says that he is willing to try.

I can fall asleep a hundred times faster if there is simply another person in the room with me. They could be watching tv or something and I am out cold, but in the same room under the same conditions but alone it takes much much longer for me to fall asleep. What does this mean?

My husband stays up till 3 4 5 o’clock in the morning watching tv and movies because he can’t sleep.. what can I do to help him?? I’ve tried sleeping pills but they caused him to sleep all day..

Last night I stayed up watching tv until 2 am, because I couldn’t sleep. I played with my cat, I walked around the balcony, all the time until about 2:30 am I went back to my room to watch TV. I need to know what works for insomnia.Please answer.

I am having serious sleep problems and someone suggested sleep hygiene to me, but when I looked it up online it doesn’t seem plausible when you live in a dorm room, I mean I don’t even have room for a chair to sit on instead of my bed when doing things like watching tv. Does anyone have some good ideas?

Ever since summer started, I haven’t been able to go to sleep till around 5-8am. I know, it’s a ridiculously early time to fall asleep, but my body will not rest. I end up waking up around 1pm or 3pm at the latest, and since I’m being homeschooled this year, it’s not really a problem of when I wake up so there’s no reason for me to really fix my sleep schedule.

However, I have noticed that my eyes are starting to look really sunken in and my hands sometimes shake when I’m just relaxing. (ex: watching a movie, laying down, watching tv, reading, etc.) I keep getting muscle cramps in my chest and I feel very disoriented. I know I’ve been acting out as well, but I thought it was just the birth control making me a little more sensitive to emotions. Any way, I keep feeling like I’m going to have a panic attack, and although it’s not completely out of the ordinary for me to have them, they seem to be coming a lot more frequently and I’m feeling anxious constantly.

Is it the sleeping patterns, or something else like stress?
If it is the sleeping problems, I have no idea how to fix it. I’m pretty sure I’m an insomniac because I always seem to have troubles falling asleep, especially if I am alone in my bed.

Any suggestions?

How do you fall asleep earlier?




I have developed a bad habit where I go to sleep at 2 or 3 in the morning. It is because of school work…I procrastinate and waste my time listening to music…watching tv..using computer (the biggest problem). Even if I finish homework at 12:00, I can’t fall asleep because I’m used to 2:00. I’m not sleepy at school (I wake up at 7)…I’m used to this. But I know its unhealthy.

I come home and take a nap….which is also unhealthy because I have one messed up sleep routine.

How can I fall asleer earlier…and faster? (I sometimes lay in my bed for an hour before falling asleep)

Should I exercise so I am tired and fall asleep or what? Thanks.

Why do people have problems sleeping?




Whenever I go to bed I pretty much never have a problem sleeping. The only thing that keeps me up, is me being stupid and staying up late. I stay up late b/c I’m doing something stupid like watching TV or playing Xbox.

What keeps you guys up? Or people in general?
I didn’t say I had trouble falling asleep. I just chose to be stupid and stay up. There is a difference between choosing to stay up and can’t fall asleep.

need help with insomnia relief?




my doctor diagnosed me with general insomnia
that i’ve been dealing with for over a year now.
although, she refuses to prescribe me any type of sleeping pill
because i’m only 20 years old.

anyone have any advice?
i’ve tried all the OTC products containing diphenhydramine
but that never works. i’ve chamomile tea, watching and NOT watching tv, not eating and all that stuff two hours prior to bed..
everything, i’m out of ideas.

i used to use nyquil but i know its unhealthy so i’m trying to find something other than that to try.
