Sleep problems 11 year old?

Sleep problems 11 year old boy?
I have a lovely 11 year old boy who cannot get to sleep. He has a very healthy diet, he is very settled and happy.
As a family we have tried everything to get him to sleep but even if we put him to bed early (8.30) he will read and read and not be able to relax his mind. Warm baths, warm drinks, we have tried the lot. He says that his body is crying out for sleep but his mind is active and will not give in. he is in a heavy sleep when I wake him up. what can I do to help him? He is never naughty but it really seems that he cannot ‘turn off’.
He would read until 2am if he could. please help mums and dads!
Jax

Does anyone know how to cure insomnia?

I have tried every prescription and non-prescription drugs that are available, I’ve had 2 sleep studies done and all they told me was that I have insomnia, I have cut out caffeine, tried warm baths before bed, soft music and a glass of wine. Nothing helps.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Know any good ways to cure insomnia?

I just turned 17 and I’ve been suffering from insomnia for around a year now. I’ve tried a lot of natural remedies like cutting out sugar, caffeine and fatty foods, tried warm baths before bed, exercising more but nothing worked.
My doctor gave me some sleeping pills, they worked for awhile but now i need a higher dosage.
I don’t want to keep taking them and I feel like I’ve tried everything the doctor told me to try.
Can anyone suggest anything for me?
It will be really appreciated.

severe insomnia?

This problem is something i have been dealing with for over 2 years now and i just want relief.. I tried several different methods including bedtime routine, warm baths, drinking herbal teas, using my bed for sleep only, i don’t take naps through the day, i got to the gym daily and nothing seems to work. i’m up till 3-4 am then wake up so tired and i have no motovation which make taking care of a 2 yr old very hard along with going to school full time for massage therapy. I’m really at a loss here can anyone give me advice on how to fix this.. also i currently have no insurance to get proper sleep medication.
i have taken benadryl for so long that i grew a tolerace to it also i found when i take it i’m hyper instead of sleeping i’m cleaning my house in the middle of the night.

How do you like/dislike the new sleep aid, ROZEREM?

If you’re taking Rozerem, the newest prescription sleep aid, or if you’ve taken it before, I’d love to know what you do or don’t like about it. :)

I’ve been thinking of asking my doctor for it, as it apparently has zero capacity to become "addictive". It also sounds like the most "natural" drug in how it works. FYI: I don’t need sleep help all the time. I only need help when I have to go to bed abnormally early on a particular night, due to having to rise abnormally early the next morning.

My normal "sleep onset" is somewhat late, but that’s OK usually, since my work schedule is flexible and my commute is short. HOWEVER, if I need to be up super-early to catch a plane, leave for a roadtrip, etc., I’d ideally like to go to bed extra early the night before. But, no luck!! :( I’ve tried chamomile, Benadryl, melatonin, meditation, warm baths — I just can’t fall asleep at a time my body &/or brain perceives as "way too early".

THAT’S when I hope a pill like Rozerem can help! :)
