Any opinions of Rozerem? Any side effects?

I have had insomnia for awhile, off and on. I’ve taken Ambien, and that knocks me out and I wake up without feeling drowsy (bad side is you build a tolerance to it quickly, and you do things and don’t remember doing them). I’m thinking about trying Rozerem because I heard it can regulate your sleep cycle.

Does it knock you out or do you drift off to sleep? How long before bedtime should you take it? Any side effects?

Taking 15mg Zopiclone for the past year, no benzodiazepine history at all. Have a myriad of anxiety disorders.

Absolutely 0 effect from 2mg Klonopin, taken sublingually. Could it be because of a cross tolerance to zopiclone?

Because I think I do… specifically for xanax and valium. Also I am about 245lbs so I am sure body weight takes into consideration but even with that I STILL think I have a naturally high tolerance… is this possible or what’s going on here..

How long to get over Ambien tolerance?

I’ve been taking Ambien almost daily for about 2 years now. I hardly feel it anymore. I know everyone is different, but is there a general amount of time I can stop taking it to lower my tolerance so I can start to feel it again?

If someone chose to use chloroform as a sleep-aid, would there be any long-term side effects? And would your body build up a tolerance to it, like with barbiturates?
I meant using it on yourself.

I was wondering if you can develop a tolerance to antihistamines such as benadryl if taken often, i.e. will it become insufficient like alcohol to alcoholics and antibiotics for bacteria?

And while we’re on the subject, i get hives very frequently and was wondering if anyone knows any good treatment besides benadryl.

thanks much

Has anyone who has taken Ambien ever developed a tolerance to 10mg? The last week I’ve noticed no effect from 10mg after taking for a few months. This is only before bed by the way! I think ambien is great as it helps me sleep very well. If I go off it for about a week, I wonder if it would start working again?

Cure for Insomnia?

I know I will not stumble upon a panacea by asking this age-old question, but still, some remedies or pratices might ease the chronic sleeplessness that I’ve been experiencing for the last 3 years.

I’ve tried limiting caffeine, taking a shower, limiting water before bed, eating peanut butter, eating a light dinner, etc. Nothing seems to work. People tell me meditation is good, but I can not seem to master that at all.

I am very close to giving up and going on medication, even if that means developing tolerance and dependencies.

Any suggestions?

How would tolerance and overdose be different between opioids and benzodiazepines?

Technorati Tags: , , ,

I understand that ethanol is toxic to the human body, in particular the liver. But benzodiazepines and alcohol have cross-tolerance, which is why benzodiazepines are prescribed to treat dangerous withdrawal. But are benzos toxic in any way themselves?

Just curious. Of course, an over-dose of benzos might be considered ‘toxic’; the same with alcohol, but do these molecules themselves pose any danger to the lives of cells in the human body?

Caffeine is not something I ever use unless it is used for exercise performance, and it works tremendously (unfortunatley I took it too late so here I am), but I am worried about growing a tolerance to it and I definitely do not need to have any type of physical dependency. What would be a safe dose and time length between intakes of caffeine? Educated answers please. I have already researched the pros and cons of taking it so no need talk about that.

I have trouble sleeping and get up 3 or more times a night. I always wake up exhausted so a friend suggested I take Benadryl before bed since it has the same active ingredient as most sleeping pills. My worry is that I have a severe allergy and if I build up a tolerance will my Epi pen be as effective to save my life.

Can you build up a tolerance for benadryl?

I used to take one benadryl to help make me drowsy on school nights so that I could go to bed at a decent time. Now, I have to take 2-3 25mg tablets for me to get drowsy. I’ve never heard of a tolerance for the sideaffects of the medicine, but is it possible? And if I cease using the benadryl for a couple weeks will it clean and renew my system so one benadryl will make me drowsy again?

Ive been taking Benadryl (2 pills) every night for the past couple of weeks to help me goto sleep (i dont have any severe insomnia or disorders, but im perscribed adderal (2 15mg extended release every day) for ADD and its impossible to goto sleep) and i was wondering what are the dangers in doing this i heard something about dependence but im not sure thats an issue here (due to not developing tolerance)
btw: the chemicals in the brand im taking are (in each pill)
Diphenhydramine HCl 25mg
Acetaminophen 325mg
Phenylephrine HCl 5mg
thanks in advance
