Lately i’ve been having symptoms like, confusion, dizziness, fatigue, anxiety, lost of appetite,insomnia, and this all happened after i got high on Marijuana. Can anyone tell me what i may have, i am a teenager.

How to sleep better. ?

I am a teenager and I have recently been sleeping in really late because it’s hard for me to fall asleep at night. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to fall asleep faster and how to get BETTER sleep? Thanks.

bipolar……?

for about two and a half years now i’ve been getting really bad mood swings. at first i thought it was simply part of being a teenager, but now i find it hard to believe that.
eg:
i’ll be with my friends having a good time, then suddenly i’ll get really upset over literally nothing. i’ll feel like i need comfort, i can cry, i can feel hopeless, and that no one likes me, that i can’t do anything right, etc. then, i’ll be ecstatic for no reason, jumping, laughing non stop, skipping and not being able to hold still. then suddenly, everything will close in and i can’t have anyone near me, any noise made, anything happening, i HAVE to get away, i do anything to get away from people, and everything is too much. i have these sort of severe feelings and more, and the scariest bit is they appear in any order and unexpectedly. could i have bipolar, or similar? what should i do to find out? im scared of talking to mum, but what would happen if i went to a counsellor?
i just braved telling mum…
she reacted how i expected
told me i didn’t know how good i have things and that i’m being silly, everyone goes through it
she asked me if i ever wanted to kill myself, and i said no…
you don’t tell the truth when parents ask you that, you cant

How do I produce melatonin faster?

So Im a teenager and I don’t usually start producing melatonin until about 2 in the morning. That leaves me 4 or 5 hours before I have to wake up for school. As you might be able to tell, this seriously screws up my grades considering I have Algebra first period. Any tips?

Should I go to a sleep center?

Hi, I’m fourteen, and I rarely sleep.

It usually takes me about an hour to two hours, and in extreme nights, three to four. I don’t think this is normal at all, being a teenager, I’m supposed to sleep more, am I right?

I do have some anxiety, to the point of shaking. As in, when I see my therapist, after talking about my problems for an hour, I’m practically spazzing out. She says that’s normal though. o_O

Back to sleeping…
I don’t know if I should see a doctor, or what, maybe ask my therapist for sleep pills?

Also, on weekends, I usually stay up to the wee hours of the morning, even if I don’t want to, playing computer games, or watching tv. I try to go to bed, but after laying there for fifteen minutes, I give up, and go open up my notebook, or turn on the tv.

One more thing, I sleep a lot through the day, after not getting any sleep at night. Like, I sleep on the way to school, during Algebra (D:) and on the way home from school (that takes an hour).

What should I do? Should I go to a sleep center?

Is it possible for a teenager with no family history known of bipolar disorder to develop the disorder after going through extremely traumatic events over a period of 2 years? Or is the disorder strictly genetic?
Well I have no history, and I believe I also have ADHD. The main thing I was a little bit iffy about, is that the only symptom of bipolar+inattentive adhd I don’t have is the ‘depression cycle’. When I start to become depressed, I get hyper instead? Kind of like the adhd takes over to make sure nothing bad happens?

I usually get about 4-6 hours of sleep a night, and I have to wake up at 4:45 every weekday. I am a high school student, and it is really hard to wake up in the morning. I use this alarm clock http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93RvM7NnpJU
(you put the vibrator piece under your pillow,) yet I can still sleep through it sometimes. Even if it does wake me up, I am often in a semi-sleep state, and I turn the alarm off without realizing it, and I go back to sleep. My parents think I have much more trouble waking up than a normal teenager, even considering the circumstances, and they don’t like having to wake me up, usually several times each morning. In the afternoon, it is common for me to take naps accidentally, because I am so tired. I take 50 mg of Zoloft every night. Could my sleep problems be because of Zoloft?

sleep problems!!! i HATE mornings!! please help!?




ok so i have sleeping problems no matter what i cant wake myself up i have tryed many alarms and set them all of at one time and put them on the other side of the room and everything. so in the morning im a teenager i wanna sleep for around 8 hours whenever i get in bed and go to sleep there is no way i can get myself out of bed for 14 hours or more. whenever i have to be up the next morning i stay up all night because i know if i go to sleep no matter what it is the next day i wont be up i turn my alarms off in my sleep and if i do wake up i turn them off and go back to sleep without even thinking about what i have to do its getting in the way of my life and im always tired cause i stay up all the time like right now its 4 AM someones coming in the morning to give me money for plowing a driveway so i have to stay up to be awake and then i stay up all day cause i get wraped up in what needs done please someone help!
when im up i have no problems staying up but feel crapy cause im so tired but i think 60 + hour days because i have to much to do arnt good for me at all and im sick of feeling tired
no one but my girlfriend can get me out of bed my mom trys to wake me up i get pissed or anyone in my family i get pissed and yell at them to let me go back to bed without even thinking about sleeping my mom has said its depression because i feel my girlfirend is the only thing worth getting out of bed for but she lives 30 min drive away and has a life and cant come to my house to wake me up every morning haha

I checked the symptoms of bipolar disorder/manic depression and I think I might have it. I’m a teenager, so I like with my parents still. I know I need to tell my mom about it, after all she’s a nurse and has a book on bipolar disorder even. I just cant bring myself to tell her. Can anyone give help on how I can talk to her about it?

Well I’m a teenager and my problem is not getting to sleep on time, it’s STAYING asleep. Does anyone have any idea what I could do to keep sound sleep for the whole night? Like a comforter or something?

Do they sell sleeping pills over the counter?




Ok, now I’m just a teenager with no money so I’m not off to buy pills, I’m actually working on a piece of literature and I want to be accurate. Do they sell any kind of actual "sleeping pill" over the counter or do you have to have a prescription?

sleeping problems???




so, i am a teenager and i have always had trouble sleeping. normally i have trouble falling asleep and wake up during the night. even sometimes, for a few months at a time, i will have complete insomnia and only sleep for about 3 hours a night. recently, i have been having none of those problems but something completly different. for about the last month or so i have been falling asleep quickly, sleeping the whole night, and sleeping about 9 hours a night. this sounds good, but there is a problem: when i wake up i feel like i didn’t sleep at all. i am exuasted and have to go to sleep at about 9:30 because i am so tired and i still wake up (at 6:30) completly fried. also, i am having trouble getting my school work done by 9, it is nearly impossible! so i am also falling behind and i am so tired i can’t concentrate in class. if anyone can help in any way i would appreciate it so much! thx in advanced!

also, i really don’t want to use pills and i’ve not sure if they could even help.

Is this due to sleep problems or drinking?




Hello,

I’ve had sleep disorders all of my life. When I was little, I would have night terrors and would sleepwalk occasionally. As a teenager, I had terrible insomnia and hypersomnia phases that would seem to rotate every few months.

I’ve been drinking at parties and such since I was 18, but have only begun to do really strange things in my sleep when I drink as a 22 yr old. I don’t really party anymore, and I don’t drink hard liquor or drink heavily. I generally have a glass of wine or two in the evening, and not every day.

These problems occur not when I get DRUNK or pass out, incidentally, they happen when I have drank moderately and fully remember the entire night, going to sleep, etc: I have woken up outside of a hotel room on vacation, knocking on another hotel room’s door. I have woken up moaning or talking gibberish. I have gotten undressed in other parts of the house, IN FRONT of house guests (they told me about it later on). My boyfriend said that I actually peed one night on the floor in our bedroom while asleep.

This is getting obnoxious and embarrassing! I’ve stopped drinking for the most part because of it, but I want to have fun now and then. I had ONE glass of wine last night while hanging out with some friends, and they said I was moaning in my sleep. >.<

Do you have any advice other than just stop drinking altogether?

im a teenager and i became stressed because of exams and then i couldnt sleep because of stress and now even though the exams are over i still cant sleep sometimes i cant sleep till like 7 in the morning its horrible and i now get anxiety in the day its really ruining my life so i was wondering if this acupuncture thing will help me or make me a deep sleeper thanks.
