I’m 22 and for some reason I don’t sleep at all, or I sleep lightly between the hours of 2 and 5 A.M., and I’ve tried many different things to keep me asleep and they don’t work.
I’ve tried reading, I’ve tried exercizing, I’ve tried Sleepytime tea [and it kept me awake more than asleep, using the bathroom every two hours], I’ve tried watching boring T.V. shows at night. It’s not working.
I don’t stay up late either, so idk what is causing this.

I have a hard time going to sleep for like the past month since I got out for school for my winter break. Started going to bed later (like 4AM) because I was watching this TV show Half and Half. Even then I had problems falling asleep. I will always have thoughts in my head when I lay down. It seems like my brain doesn’t want to stop working. Is there anything I can do to help cure this. I exercise early in the day and I don’t drink much caffeine (even though I drink my sweet Ice tea once a day).

After i have food of any kind i start to feel really drowsy.
I’d understand it if i’d had a large heavy meal of potatoes and turkey but i get this tiredness after eating a snack like a yoghurt or an apple & cheese w/tea.
Whats going on?

Ihave been taking melatonin for a while to help me fall asleep. I have beeen having trouble falling asleep for quite some time. The melatonin with some tea helps put me to sleep. Sometimes though I will get a lot of dreams and be in a "light" sleep it seems. I know that stage of sleep is called rem.
Can this be from the melatonin use? Or do u think it is from something else like just stress about sleeping. I would like to stop using the melatonin but I can never go back to the sleepless nights I had before. I even feel tired the next day if I did sleep with the melatonin but I at least get the feeling knowing I slept a decent amount you know.

I can’t sleep. I sleep really late, around 2-3a.m. and I have to wake up at 7a.m. for school. Sometimes I don’t go school because I’m tired. I’m very healthy, I just can’t sleep. I tired everything that came to mind. Do you know what’ll help me get to sleep – not medicinal, I’m not allowed. Tried for 3 weeks, but it didn’t work. Are there like candles or tea’s, if so, can you tell me the names of them. Thanks.

I am a 26-yr-old female. I probably have 2 glasses (16 ounces each) of diet coke a day. Then I probably have 5 glasses (16 ounces each) of tea per day… So, roughly, I drink 120 oz of drinks with caffeine in it per day. Is this too high?

Is there a way for me to make coffee so it has more caffeine? I need to do my homework tonight (it’s due tommorow), but I’m very sleepy. Is there anyway to make my coffee with more caffeine? Or tea? I need anything to keep me awake throughout the night.

I have searched the internet every where and cannot find out about the caffeine in tradewinds tea. I know it says it has natural caffeine from the tea leaves, is this bad or good for you ? Is it more addictive then regular caffeine? Anyone know about this ?

I know that caffeine is found in tea and coffee, how about other herbs or flowers that are used in the same way.

I want to stop drinking sodas and tea but anytime a go a day without caffeine, I get migraines. To the point of crying sometimes.
What would be a good way to wing myself off of it?

I only drink tea once in a great while but when I do I drink it for the caffeine. I want to get the most bang for my buck. I just want to know flavors though not brand names because my work supplies a large variety of teas for us.

I stay up till 4 or 5 and then sleep till 12 or later. I’ve had it for a month. It’s cause by stress, and no meditating doesn’t work, neither does tea, going to bed earlier and laying there, or taking muscle relaxers.
Do you think this will solve it? I’m feeling a little crazy right now b/c it’s been 22 hours, so it had better be worth it.
Ok now it’s 5 pm and i’m not feeling exhausted anymore for some reason….

I’ve looked up caffeine extraction here and other places and oftentimes it involves harsh chemicals or laboratory equipment. Yet I see all sorts of things like water and doughnuts with artifically added caffeine.
I’m actually starting to get into winemaking and would really like to know if there’s a way to extract caffeine from one source like coffee or tea, to then add it to other safe consumables.
Or barring that, is it legal to produce or buy straight caffeine crystals anywhere that are fit for consumption? There must be, it seems like the entire soft drink industry relies on it.

I drink coffee – not so much, but some days more than others. I drink a lt of tea. On hot days I tend to drink cans of coke outside. I want to quit all caffeine as I think it’s probably very unhealthy.
Any tips?
