			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I suffer from severe chronic insomnia. It&#8217;s horrible. I don&#8217;t take meds or anything I just try my best to deal with it.<br />
So does anyone have any good tips on how to get through the day when you have insomnia and you&#8217;re tired and confused all the time? How do you deal with work, school, love, stress, etc?<br />
I don&#8217;t need tips on how to fall asleep, as I&#8217;ve tried everything in the book. I&#8217;d just like to know how other insomniacs cope with everyday life.

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>About two weeks ago, I began having heavy problems with sleeping. It has dropped from the usual 6-7 hours first to 5, and now I barely even manage to get 3 hours! Last night I first felt asleep for 1 hour, then I woke up in the middle of the night, I felt like my brain won&#8217;t let me sleep, and I felt nervous, so I tossed and turned for about 2 hours in order to get another 2 hours of sleep. I feel extremely bad, I am sweating a lot, I feel like my balance is a bit messed up, and sometimes have mild muscle contractions. It all came out of the blue, for no reason at all. I wasn&#8217;t under any stress</p>
<p>Is this sFI possibly? Or just a normal insomnia? I am 20 years old, and I heard there were some cases of this in their 20s.

All he did for me was give me an ace bandage and told me to exercise it. I told him my foot bothered me at night and it was hard to sleep. He sent me off saying take some ibuprofen and i&#8217;ll be fine. Well here I am on sleepless night 5. I&#8217;ve become an insomniac due to the pain and other stress. I&#8217;m moving in 2 days and also going on a big trip in a week. I can go see my general practioner tomorrow&#8230;would it be wrong to be forthright in telling my doctor that i absoultely need some type of drug to help me sleep.

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I am at my wits end! I need to know how to get to sleep! I am planning on going to the doctor on Monday but I am in tears I am so irritated! For the past few months I haven&#8217;t been getting to sleep until at least 3 in the morning sometimes later than that and my daughter wakes me up for the day at 8 am. My partner started a new job and I have to get up at 6 am to take her (so I get maybe 2 hours of sleep before driving 30 mins to take her to work. By time we get home around 7 am I only get like 1-2 more hours of sleep. Sometimes I nap with my daughter but a one hour nap just makes me more tired so I try not to nap during the day in hopes that I will be tired early and actually get sleep. I have been nauseous all day and only eating maybe one small meal a day due to that (i think I may be pregnant) so I think the stress of not knowing if I am pregnant, not eating well, and getting pretty much no sleep. </p>
<p>Is there any way I can get to sleep earlier? I am waiting to go to the doc until monday because I will hopefully find out if I am preggo on Saturday and I don&#8217;t wanna get any meds to help if I am pregnant. I am so exhausted, please help me!

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;ve gone to a doctor before about tiredness and waking up tired &#8211; the last time I got a blood test done and everything was fine and the doctor didn&#8217;t do anything else. Since then I&#8217;ve moved house and have another doctor. I went to him and again he wants to start with a blood test. I&#8217;m pretty sure this will still be normal. He says that most patients leave it at that and don&#8217;t want further tests. I guess if I don&#8217;t have high blood pressure (which he tested) and my blood values are normal the chances are high that it&#8217;s stress causing the tiredness. Should a bother making another appointment with my GP and asking to go to a sleep center? (It seems like patients are discouraged to do this) Can I diagnose sleep apnea myself &#8211; for example by recording my own snoring and seeing if I stop breathing?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I am 15 and for pretty much the whole year, since February, I have been having sleep problems.</p>
<p>I have been stressed for a lot of reasons. My dad had an affair and left earlier in the year, I have been struggling to come out a gay to friends and family, I have been dealing with fights with @rsehole friends, I have had a lot of homework and exams to study for, I am in all of the top classes for every subject and need to maintain my grades, I have had football (which my mum won&#8217;t let me quit until next year), and I have had a lot of extra work for programs which I can&#8217;t quit because then I have to pay a 00 fee (the programs are sponsored, so if I quit I need to pay back the sponsorship money).</p>
<p>I have been having trouble sleeping because of all of the stress I am under. No matter when I go to bed, I will just lie there for ages. Usually I will only get a few hours sleep each night until I have to wake up (I love leeping in in mornings, but have trouble going to sleep at night). All day I feel tired and struggle to pay attention at school in some subjects (mostly maths, but some others as well).</p>
<p>Are there any ways I can sleep better, longer, or deal with all of the stress. I&#8217;m so glad a lot of this will be over next year, but I don&#8217;t want to deal with $hitty sleep for the rest of the year.

<p>Does it make more sense to get a good night&#8217;s sleep and feel healthy, rather than irritable and unable to concentrate?</p>
<p>Aside from the dangers of addiction to meds of course, what do you think is more healthy?  With or without meds?
