Long story short, my mom needs to give my little sister a sleeping pill (She has sleeping problems) without her knowing (my sister doesnt like medicine.) so whats a way we could give it to her without her knowing? Should we put it in a drink and let it dissolve then give it to her to drink?? What would be the best food to put it in?

Sleeping Problems…?




Ok so its been about idk 3 days now and I haven’t even been able to get any sleep at all…im so exausted but when I go to lay down I can’t fall asleep and I lay awake tosing and turning…idk what’s wrong w me. Its like im so overly tired that I can’t even sleep. I didn’t even think it was physically possible to go this long.

Im just in dire need of help….I ve always had sleeping problems and would love a permanent solution. Can anyone help me? Any tips? Any guidlines? I would love to be able to sleep normally.

What is the normal heart rate (bpm) during sleep?




I’ve decided to take my pulse in the middle ofthe night when I am having my sleeping problems (feeling too tired to sleep) and I find that the rate ranges from 52-62 bpm. Is this a normal range for a 19 yr old female?

For the last two-three weeks I have been having crazy sleeping problems. I go to bed 9.30-10.00 and am still awake at 3.00 am.
I wake up grumpy and with blood shot eyes.
I always have ideas at night and I can’t seem to turn my mind off! This is crazy! It’s 1.20 right now, I don’t know what to do anymore.

So I’ve been really depressed, well I’m almost positive I have, but I’ve hardly ever had sleep problems. Like once every month have this one night where im awake all night long and there’s nothing i can do to sleep, but usually I’m pretty good actually a lot of the time I really just want to go to bed. Do all people with depression have sleeping problems?

I have been dealing with sleeping problems ever since I was a child. I have taken out all tv, radios, clocks out of the room. I bought a new mattress. I have tried journaling. I have tried herbal candles and such. I have stopped reading in bed. I’ve tried hot showers, no caffine after 3pm. I don’t know what to do. I even had surgery because i had snoring problems, it helped me get deeper sleep, but not fall asleep any faster. It takes me hours to fall asleep and anything wakes me. I take a sleeping pill when i really HAVE to get to sleep but they are so $$$. What else can i try?

My dad has sleeping problems were in the middle of the night he feels like there is someone on him or something of alot of weight on top of him, and then he can’t breathe. He tries talking or screaming but he can’t as hard as he tries. He can’t move at all. He tries so hard to move around with much struggle and when he finally does, he wakes up and is sweating alot. This happens alot to him. Other than just a nightmare, he thinks it might be related to stress. Is there a name for this? Thanks.

What causes my jaw to hurt when I sleep?




I’ve never had sleeping problems, especially with my jaw, and I have woken up the past 3 days and the right side of my jaw is KILLING ME! Throughout the day, the pain starts going away, but I’m not sure what it is. My parents say it might be TMJ, and I’ve never been known to grind my teeth or lock my jaw while I sleep. Anyone else have any suggestions?

I’m not sure if that makes sense but I have been awake since about 1 pm yesterday. Its summer and my "circadian rhythms" are off so I go to sleep around 4 am each night which is terrible. I have major sleeping problems. So my question is that if I usually go to sleep at 4am each night would it be better if I refrained from going to sleep so I could go to sleep later at like 11pm? does that make sense?

I was talking to a friend and I realised that i have sleeping problems and she asked me about counting sheeps.
It doesn’t help me fall asleep but now i wonder how movies and stuff like that come up with that.

I was on Lunesta for a short period and it worked great for my sleeping problems but my doctor today put me on Ambien CR. I was just wondering if there were any major differences. I know that Lunesta put me at ease before bed, relaxed me enough to fall asleep. I am worried the Ambien will be a waste.
Anyone have any insight? Thanks!!

No REM sleep?? Sleeping question?




If I’m getting no REM sleep then what disease is that and can it be treated. Every doctor says my sleeping problems are in my head and my pills don’t work. And no one can fugure out why I have strange feeling in my head and feet at night,

Is no REM fatal?

I have what I call mild bipolar, meaning that I don’t get hypomanic. I mostly go between being depressed (or severely depressed) and feeling normal.

I have suffered from sleeping problems my whole life. I’ve tried everything, from reading before bed, to relaxation techniques, to avoiding caffeine, to exercising. If any of these methods work, they only work occasionally. Nothing is ever for sure. I could sleep okay one night, and horribly the next. But one thing is certain. I NEVER get enough sleep during the week. I have to wake up at 6am to go to work and I am ALWAYS tired when I wake up (though this ranges from extremely exhausted to just plain tired). Sleep aids work sometimes (sometimes they seem to have the opposite effect), but I always feel groggy in the morning when I take them.

Any advice?

What is the best unprescribed sleep medicine ?




Lately, I’ve been having some sleeping problems. I can’t sleep. I want to, and I feel sleepy, but when I go to bed; I toss and turn for 10 hours. I don’t know what the problem is. I think part of the problem is becasue of my matress, and the other part is becasue of my intensive workout; my muscles are kinda tired. Anyways, what do you the think the best unprescribed sleep medicne ?

I’m 20 years old, male.

One more thing, will the sleeping medicne affect my hormones, my muscles, or anything.

Sleeping Problems???




I have been going thru alot of stuff lately. A really good close friend of mine passed away 7 months ago (he drowned)… & im having a hard time gettiing over that & im having to move & i dont want to & im the type of person who stresses out easeily… For about a month now i have been having some sleeping problems that ive never had before. like i cant sleep so ill stay up 6 am , 7 am I even stayed up till noon & then fell asleep & i dont wake up until 5 or 6 or 7 Pm. This bothers me but i dunno what to do about it. Like right now its 6:15 am & im wide awake…Whats wrong with me???
