Would it be okay to take a sleeping pill at 16?

Im 16 years old and i have problems sleeping, i don;t sleep at night, i just don’t. It’s like im nocturnal or something. I go to bed around 4am, and i currently don’t go to school so i sleep the whole day untill like dinner time. I’ve been trying to change my sleeping habits but i just can’t fall asleep at like 10 or 11. Do you think it would be okay if i took an Over the counter sleeping pill around 9-11pm So i can sleep normally at night?

i cant sleep at night because my mind is racing, i have tried many things like music,t.v, reading, and i cant drink milk or i puke. can somebody please give me advice on what to do ?

I get a lot of sleep at night so its not like I’m tired or anything, but when I take naps they’re like 2 hours or more. And I just want a little rest in the middle of the day.

Is insomnia a symptom of anemia?

I cant sleep at night. I have a few other symptoms that point towards anemia. Is the insomnia also a symptom?

I live next to a freeway and can’t get any sleep at night. I was wondering if anyone knew of any powerful over the counter sleeping pills or liquids. I need something that’ll put me into a deep sleep because i’m a very light sleeper and it’s impossible for me to get any sleep because of the freeway.

Should I go to a sleep center?

Hi, I’m fourteen, and I rarely sleep.

It usually takes me about an hour to two hours, and in extreme nights, three to four. I don’t think this is normal at all, being a teenager, I’m supposed to sleep more, am I right?

I do have some anxiety, to the point of shaking. As in, when I see my therapist, after talking about my problems for an hour, I’m practically spazzing out. She says that’s normal though. o_O

Back to sleeping…
I don’t know if I should see a doctor, or what, maybe ask my therapist for sleep pills?

Also, on weekends, I usually stay up to the wee hours of the morning, even if I don’t want to, playing computer games, or watching tv. I try to go to bed, but after laying there for fifteen minutes, I give up, and go open up my notebook, or turn on the tv.

One more thing, I sleep a lot through the day, after not getting any sleep at night. Like, I sleep on the way to school, during Algebra (D:) and on the way home from school (that takes an hour).

What should I do? Should I go to a sleep center?

Why do i start getting sleepy when i study?




College student, gets good amount of sleep at night, drink herbal tea to keep me awake, work out a few times a week but when it comes to studying I GET SLEEPY! how do i get out of this? And all of a sudden 3p.m. turns into 7p.m. in like 3 minutes and it feels like i’ve done nothing – during winter break, i’ll do something a 3p.m., get home and it’s only 6 p.m. and i’ve felt that i’ve gotten more done when i didn’t need to, compared to now! HELP!

Should i just keep drinking tea and not be time conscious?

Sleep deprivation =|?




Oki, if any of ya’ll have went through this problem and fixxed it tell meh how please.. i get like 3 or 4 hours of sleep at night tops. I either go to sleep at like 11 pm and wake up at 2-4 and cant go back to sleep, or I’m not able to go to sleep till like 3, and i have to wake up at around 6 30 to get ready for school. I’ve tried taking this Tylenol Pm stuff, but it either doesnt make me sleepy or it takes about 4 hours to hit me. Any tips? :D

How can I stay awake in the day without caffeine?




I’ve been very tired for the past 2 weeks. I have had about 7 hours average of sleep at night. I don’t drink coffee to keep myself awake and I don’t use caffeine pills. I am not stressed out at the time being and my health is perfectly fine. So what’s your diagnosis for me?
I see your point in changing the diet. I haven’t really changed much about it. Not the amount I eat, but more of when I eat dinner. I try to eat dinner earlier so I can have more time to do more things.

Can my vegan diet be making me drowsy?




I started on a raw foods diet about a week and a half ago.

I drink a 58 gram protein shake in the morning, (with outmeal and a banana mixed in) then eat carrots, broccoli, hummus, grapes, apples, oranges the rest of the day.

The last couple days I’ve been getting extremely drowsy in the afternoons, almost as if I’m entering a Nyquil coma. And although I enjoy a good nap now and then, I thought this was odd. I usually get 8 hours of sleep at night.

Does anyone get drowsy spells during the day?




I was just wondering, if it is normal to get drowsy spells during the day. I am a 20 year old male and I sometimes during the day I get spells and feel like I want to sleep. It makes it hard to pay attention some times especially during my college classes. I get plenty of sleep at night and sometimes it feels as if the more I sleep at night, the sleepier I am. Any suggestions??? I do take some medicine for anxiety, but its only taken when needed.

Is there a way to induce REM sleep quickly? I keep trying to lucid dream, but I feel somewhat redundant when I’m not sure if I’m even going into REM sleep at night.
