Sleep problems…..?

My husband has recently developed some sleep problems. He snores so loud I think the neighbors can hear him(no kidding). He wakes up every 1-2 hours and has trouble falling back asleep. He never feels rested. He has strange, vivid dreams that he actually acts out sometimes. He’s been tested for sleep apnea, but that doesn’t seem to be the problem. Any ideas as to what this could be? Thanks in advance!

Sleep Apnea Without Symptoms

People have questioned whether or not it is possible to have sleep apnea without symptoms. It may be possible. The most common symptoms are include loud snoring, restless sleep, and sleepiness during the night and the cessation of breathing for short periods of time during sleep.

Insomnia and sleep apnea are serious problems and you may want to look into insomnia and effects on the body.

The problem is that sometimes the symptoms go unnoticed and so the problem becomes difficult to treat or diagnose without a proper study. One person asked about different symptoms including the question is drooling a sign of sleep apnea.

One cannot be sure and you should seek proper medical attention and possibly get a sleep study done by a qualified sleep specialist recommended by your doctor or medical professional.

In no way is this information intended for a substitute for medical treatment and it is only for informational purposes. If you have any questions concerning sleep apnea and it’s symptoms, please contact your physician.

What can I do about sleep problems?

I used to have trouble falling and staying asleep. Recently I had surgery to correct a deviated septum so that cured the sleep apnea. I no longer have trouble staying asleep, but I still have trouble falling asleep. What can I do about this? Should I see a doctor, a psychiatrist, what?

20 years old… I am having a sleep study at the end of the month and my doctor is pretty sure I have sleep Apnea, as I am tired all the time and snore really badly. But for the past 4-5 years Ive been experiencing really bad depression and anxiety. This past year has been the worse, as I moved to a new state and my anxiety has turned into what might be social anxiety. I feel nervous and paranoid around people. Always thinking they don’t like me and that they are talking bad about me. Do you think the sleep apnea could have caused this, as I’ve had this sleep problem since I was a child.

Do I have sleep apnea or should I stop smoking?

I can get 10 hours of sleep and still feel very tired in the morning, come to think about it, I don’t think I’ve woken up feeling refreshed in years. I had my tonsils out to prevent ‘obstructive sleep apnea’ and it has helped with sore throats but hasn’t made my sleeping patterns any different. When I fall asleep, I stay asleep, rarely wake up and rarely move even though I am an extremely light sleeper always. I try to go to bed and wake up at the same times. It’s like I’m exhausted every single evening from a normal day. Do I have sleep apnea or could it be caused by smoking cigarettes?
