I have found lately I am sleeping the deepest the last two hours before I have to get up. (for instance I have to get up at 7am, I find i sleep fitfully all night and then out like a light from 5am til my alarm goes off!) This is making it hard to get up and get going in the morning. I feel disrupted, not ready to get up and it sets a bad tone for the day.
I DO NOT want to take any sleep aids, can anyone give me advice on how to train myself to sleep better and wake up refreshed and ready to go?

Like my head hurt really bad for like, two hours but right after I took the advil pills it went away. Is anything bad going to happen? :/ I’m starting to think I shouldn’t have taken it.
But I start school tomorrow & I won’t get any sleep if I don’t take sleep aids. Should it be alright to consume both ibuprofen & diphenhydramine so close to each other?

I am pretty sure I am addicted to Tylenol PM lol. I know that the "tylenol" part of it is really bad for my liver and I have taken between 2-3 a night for about 4 years. I cant sleep without them. I have been on Ambien and it didnt work at all for me. Is there any other over the counter sleep aids I can take that really work? Or are the prescribed ones the better way to go? I can’t get any shut eye for the life of me, It’s really starting to effect my everyday life and relationships with people. I’m finding myself increasingly anxious and cranky I can hardly stand myself. I’ve tried over the counter sleep aids I have trouble taking them because I get a restless leg syndrome side effect. I’m wondering if I see a doctor what he’ll do for this?

I read somewhere today, that these sleep aids contain diphenhydramine (an antihistamine) and can increase your appetite,cause weight gain,etc. Have any of you that have taken these, experienced this side effect??
Mohamed…the website you provided indicated that diphenhydramine can cause stomach distress or upset. Doesn’t say increase of appetite. Why do these other guys like to get us so upset???

I was on ambien cr 12.5 until I was sent to the hospital for hallucinate for 2 weeks during my sleep. Know all my doctors is not willing to put me back on the medication or try any other sleep aids cause they don’t want a repeat of me going to the hospital but their gotta be something that will not hallucinate me?

So for about 6-8 months I have had trouble sleeping through the night. I fall asleep just fine but I wake up 2-6 times. It is such an inconvenience because I am tired EVERY day. The doctor suggested melatonin but it didn’t help and I have tried a few over the counter sleep aids. I am not stessed out or anything. Anyone have similar issues and a solution?

I take 25mg of paxil CR and I want to take a prescription sleep aid like lunesta because I have insomnia. The pharmacist said there is a slight interaction but to ask my doctor about it. I’ve tried OTC sleep aids like sominex and they don’t do anything. So, is it safe to take a sleep aid and paxil together?

My girlfriend and I both have had sleeping problems for as long as I can remember. She is on some kind of prescription pill and tosses and turns all night. This tossing and turning keeps me awake because I am a light sleeper. Are there any otc sleep aids that can put me into a deeper sleep? I have no problems falling asleep, just staying asleep. Also, are there any that I should stay away from? I read that Calms Forte can give some trippy halucinations, so those are things I would prefer to stay away from. I also would prefer to not use herbal teas or supplements. Suggestions and why?

There seem to be some many different sleep aids on the market, and my friends basically take whatever the doctor gives them, but it also seems that every doctor prescribes whatever they are use to prescribing. Besides trial and error, how do I know which sleep aid is best for me? Is there a certain one to start off on, and if that doesn’t work, try something else? Any ideas or guidance?

Do sleep aids, such as Lunesta disquallify someone from an ROTC scholarship? It is used only when needed and not everyday.

I have never tried unisom, simply sleep, or some other sleep aids but was curious as to how well or if they even worked at all. Ambien and those other perscriptions are exspensive so I was thinking of other options.

I’ll be taking a trip on Sunday and I will be staying in a hotel. I find it extremely difficult to sleep in hotels so I am thinking of getting a sleep aid to help me. I’ve done some research and talked to a few colleagues and they mentioned melatonin can work as a sleep aid and assist in more sound sleep (REM) has anyone tried melatonin? Does it work? Any ill side effects? I hate taking otc sleep aids because of the horrible groggy feeling the next morning.. any other suggestions for better sleep?
