Sleep aid Rozerem works as a melatonin receptor agonist. I have read that taking melatonin supplements, (distinctly different than Rozerem,) can reduce melatonin receptor’s ability to produce melatonin naturally if it is used long term. I was wondering if this could be true for Rozerem as well.

Perhaps, but I remember from college that it was a hormone that was not completely understood. It is believed to stop cancer, etc etc. I is not known what all cells have receptors for it. It is already known to be more then a sleep aid.
