I’ve gotten up to 60 pills a day. The only opiate detox symptom I don’t get is vomiting- instead I get ravenously hungry.

My other symptoms are as thus:

Goose bumps, anxiety, watery eyes and nose, yawning. did I mention anxiety? Irritabitlity, insomnia (BAD), and weirdly enough, extreme sexual arousal. I get a hoarse voice and lack of energy….

but anyways I went 8 days without (after the second day detox I almost died by OD’in on Valium and Benadryl- my mom called the ambulance and I spend the next three-four days in the psych ward. Anyways I’ve since gotten out. Was set out on Seroquel and Celexa.

I’ve learned that Ultram is also an antidepressant of sorts, and now I’m starting a new anti depressant. I’m still having trouble sleeping and such serious acute anxiety attacks. I left the psych ward after the state legal hold, but now regret that since I stil have drug cravings and thought of ending it all. I know it takes time for the anti depressants to kick in, and my supposed "outpatient rehab" starts tomorrow, but the day before yesterday I was so anxious I was willing to recheck myself into the pscyh ward. The social worker and doctor at the ER noted that the psych docs didn’t send me with an immediate anti anxolytic, so they suggested I take one at home until my rehab appt. rather than check into the pscyh floor again.

Today i had no relief from the anti-anxiety med, Klonopin, even taking it at 5 x the dose prescribed (one mg). I got crying and despondent and seriously considered suicide. Instead of doing so I went to a different ER and played up some hip pain (that got me hooked on opiates in the first place) and got Lortab and a Dilaudid shot then 30 more Lortab. My husband is pissed at me because I was without for so long, but I really thought it was that or suicide. I still have that group therapy and an appt with a psychologist tomorrow, so what should I do? Lie about the whole thing and pretend I’m still clean?

My husband is at his wits end with me, as I’m sure I would be too. I keep saying and believing I want to be clean and sober, but then if they knew how hard it was for me to be that way they would never ask it of me, right?

Anyways, this is just a rambler asking for advice….

I’ve been a strict regimen of 400mg of Seroquel and 10mg of Ambien at night for sleeplessness. Sometime it works right away, I feel tired and ready for bed. At other times it seems to have no effect until maybe 2 or 3 hours later. Does anyone have an explanation?

Hi,

Has anyone else experienced drowsiness and difficulty waking whilst taking Seroquel 25mg doses? I’m wondering if there is a particular time to take it which works best or if the effects after wear off after a period of time (I’ve been taking it for about a week now for anxiety and sleep problems.)

No horror stories please, just want to hear from people who experienced drowsiness with the drug. Thank you.

Does it make you feel so drowsy you cant get up in the morning or is it evened out throughout the day? i have an AWFUL time getting up after taking normal seroquel, if i dont get 10 hours of sleep i’m screwed and i feel like its depriving me of life when i sleep that long.

This is my history of my illness. If ANYBODY can help I would greatly appreciate it!!

When I began my period it was regular but heavy. I was in 7th grade.

In 8th grade it continued and I had frequent infections. In December I had a sinus infection. January strep throat. February viral throat infection. March sinus infection. April viral throat infection. May sinus infection.

In 9th grade I had 1 or 2 sinus infections. My periods became irregular and eventually stopped when I lost weight due to anorexia, depression, and anxiety.

In 10th grade I had complications from my anorexia. I had bradicardia, postural orthostatic tachecardia, low alkaline phosphotase, and 2 other electrolytes. I was in the hospital twice and it saved my life. I devloped insomnia also and was put on many medications, constantly switching.

I’ve been on zofoft, zyprexa, effexor, cymbalta, prostiq, wellbitrin, and revia (for cutting).

Then I developed bulimia. I developed ovarian cysts (4 of them seperatly, one he size of a lemon) and stopped my bulimia because of the pain.

The next year (this year) in 11th grade I developed off and on severe abdominal pain. Every time they found or assumed I had small cysts on my ovaries. Then I developed a severe case of he flu. I was vomiting, had intense stomach pains, fever, headache, fatigue, etc. After that the abdominal symptoms would not go away. I had chronic abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting along with constipation and diarrhea.

They said I had a bad case of gastroenteritis. I went into the hospital for my depression which was torure on top of that. I was diagnosed with PTSD. I then went on Prozac, klonopin, abilify, seroquel, and anaspaz and phenergan to control my symptoms. I also had off and on fevers and continued to have sharp and stabbing pain.

Then they did a colonoscopy and endoscopy to find nothing except I was lactose intollerant. I cut out lactose and still have symptoms. Over that time I lost 40 lbs unintentionally this time. There were days where I couldn’t get a bite in me! So they gave me and ng tube.

I gained 10 lbs in 2 months and they took it out because at that point I had tons of heartburn and vomiting. I tried prilosec, pepcid, prevacid, and something for an ulcer with no relief.

I had a gastric emptying test which shows delayed gastric emptying. I am now on bethanechol and prevacid for that. Currently they think I’m having abdominal intestinal spasms which hurt so bad and they won’t let me take pain meds. I have a moderate fever, left side pain below my bellybutton, severe fatigue and weakness to the point where Im about to colapse.

I don’t know what else to do! I feel miserable!

Oh and I’ve been on yaz, lo ovral, depo provera, and now seasonique for my period, always with a month of breakthrough bleeding.
Recent blood tests, ct scan, ultrasound, and urine were normal besides excess protein.

Recently had strep throat also.

I have just been perscribed Seroquel, and Lexipro.
I need relief from Anxiety/panic, and insomnia.
Began today.
I am scared I might have a panic attack while driving ( I am not kidding, it happened a week ago).

QUESTION: If I think I might panic, is it okay to take another Seroquel, or Lexapro? Wich one?

I do feel, already today, pretty calm, and a bit drowsy, but not in a big way..

I used to take klonopin, but was made to get off it.

My doctor prescribed seroquel to help me get to sleep at night. All of the research I’ve done on the drug indicates that it’s used to treat depression and other disorders. I’ve been taking one pill a night for the last three nights and it’s not helping me sleep. The doctor said to give it time. . .

I’M 47, JUST IN THE PAST YEAR I HAVE BECOME AWARE THAT MY SLEEP PROBLEM IS ACTUALLY "REALLY BAD"….I CAN STAY AWAKE FOR UP TO 5 OR 6 DAYS SOMETIMES,..IT HAS CAUSED A HEART ATTACK AND 4 REALLY BAD SIEZURES AND I WAS HOSPIATLIZED FOR ALL OF THESE THINGS……I’VE ALWAYS HAD A SLEEP PROBLEM BUT IT DIDNT USE TO EFFECT ME THIS WAY. AFTER 2 AND A HALF DAYS I GET A METALIC TASTE IN MY MOUTH (which goes away)AND MY SKIN FEELS TIGHTER ON MY FACE AND ARMS AND HANDS. I HAVE SMALL SIEZURES AND TRIP OVER MY OWN SHADOW,….MY SIGHT IS STEADILY FAILING AND I HAVE GAINED LIKE 45 POUNDS IN JUST THE PAST YEAR…….I WANNA KNOW WHAT IS CAUSING THIS TO HAPPEN TO ME,….I’D RATHER BE DEAD THAN HAVE ANOTHER SIEZURE LIKE I HAVE IN THE PAST YEAR….MY DOCTOR HAS ME ON XANAX AND SEROQUEL AND NOW I’M ADDICTED,…I’M SCRAED TO DEATH TO HAVE ANOTHER SIEZURE LIKE THE ONES I’VE ALREADY HAD. SOMEONE CLUE ME IN ON WHATS WRONG WITH ME.

My real problem is staying asleep, My seroquel knocks me out but I wake up 4 or 5 times a night to eat and drink, its been going on for 2 years straight and nothing has helped I’ve tried all the above abien, lunesta, sonata, melatonin, lunesta, and seroquel XL
I already take prozac, would a more sedating one like paxil help

I get super tired, but also very anxious, and sometimes I find it hard to sleep, even though I am so tired.
Also, when I am in bed and under the influence of sleep aids, I ALWAYS have to sleep in the fetal position or else my legs will tingle and feel weird. (I take prescription Seroquel.)

What’s an explaination for this?
PS- They aren’t prescribed to me.
