I’m not going to do it; I was just curious because I’ve heard some people say 10, while others say 30. How many does it really take? And I don’t prescription sleeping pills, I mean ones you can get at the store like Advil or Motrin.

I have chronic insomnia and have tried everything such as prescription sleeping pills, anti-anxiety drugs, natural remiedies etc. Nothing works! However, I did some research and found an article on brainwave entrainment… by Philip Tsang the author of "How to Beat Insomnia". I never heard of this as a remedy and I am tempted to try it out. Does anyone have any info on this as a cure. I want to know before spending for the book. Thanks

My doctor has given me Lunesta, Ambian & Ambian CR which all help for a few hours then I’m up again. Is there any body out there on any other prescription sleeping pills that work all night?

I think I am, because I have been taking a prescription sleeping pill for about 5 years or more, and every so often I have to up the dose. Now it’s gotten to the point that I have to take 2 Advil pm’s along with my prescription sleeping pills……it’s so frustrating, It’s like I need horse tranquilizers or something lol.
So all I’m asking is that is possible for the body to build up a tolerance to pills?

I’ve tried natural supplements like SleepMD, but they don’t seem to work. Other OTC and prescription sleeping pills seem to make me depressed and anxious. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I have severe insomnia and OTC sleeping pills are not working for me. I heard that prescription sleeping pills work better, but are hard to attain these days. My family doctor is not willing to write a prescription pill and told me to find other ways to help me fall asleep. And I have tired EVERYTHING…OTC pills, exercising, reading, etc. Can someone tell me how i can get barbiturate pills, so i can fall asleep quickly rather than laying in bed for hours.

I’m doing a research paper on suicide for one of my classes at Kent State, and I was wondering a few things:
1) What exactly happens to the body when someone overdoses on sleeping pills? Convulsions? Coma? Both? Both leading to death? Heart attack?
2) Do people tend to use OTC sleeping pills more than prescription sleeping pills to kill themselves? Or do they tend to not use sleeping pills at all?
Any information on these two questions, along with sources, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
