We have a custom kids bed-making business, and this year is difficult on sales. I’m trying to get our prices low enough to be affordable for the average middle class family but high enough to still earn a living.

My question is to parents: What prices would you think are reasonable for a toddler or twin wooden bed that is custom-made how you like it? Is there a threshold which you would not exceed for a toddler bed shaped like an airplane or car, or a twin?

How can I fall asleep without a fan?

I have always slept with a box fan ever since I was in my mommys tummy. The sound is so relaxing and the breeze in soothing. I’m always miserable when I sleep at someone elses house. My parents are in Milan and I’m staying at my friends house. I’m laying there and I can’t fall asleep. It’s horrible. What can I do?

My parents aren’t home, and they said to get more sleeping pill (I have a hard time sleeping) Walgreens is only like 1/8 mile away from my house so I’ll just walk over there. Im 14, will they let me buy it, or just wait till my parents come back? Please make sure your answer is right, I don’t want to embarass myself!

Lets just say we get really wild and I need a way to control how loud the bed is. Our bed is only a couple years old. My husband said maybe we need a new bed but my parents have had the same bed for 20 years and theirs doesnt make any noise. Please Help!!

This happens a lot. Sleep studies show nothing, it’s like my body decides to rest peacefully when I decide to trek 45 miles to the sleep center, and it likes to stay up for days when nobody is watching, and I can’t prove it.

I’m starting to feel it, and it’s showing at work, and in everything I do. My friends say I’m not pulling my weight in our friendships anymore, I always stare off into space or don’t even pay attention.

Does anybody have any suggestions?
I try to sleep, but I also have restless legs syndrome and an extremely active mind, so it’s hard to sleep with that, on top of everything else.

I’m only 16, and I’ve done tests, but they didn’t see anything.

I can’t PROVE that this is happening, I won’t wake my parents up because they never remember a thing.

Is it normal and ok for my 3yr old neice to snore?

I have a niece that when she sleeps with me and my mom in the same bed (its a king or queen bed. HUGE) she snores. But when she sleeps with her parents she doesnt?? Why? And is it normal for 3yr olds to snore? And she is healthy no asthma no illness or diesease So what causes her to snore?Oh and she goes to school too (pre-pre-k)

Hi, I’m 15 and have needed AT LEAST an hour every night to fall asleep for as long as I can remember. I have never been fully rested since I started having this problem who-knows-how-long ago. I really need help with it, though, because it is starting to really hurt me in school. Through my 9th grade year I found myself daydreaming more than I ever had before. Even before, like back to 5th grade, I never could focus easily in class and found myself taking a long time to push through my work. I am a solid A/B student and have been my whole life, but have also had trouble finishing something and not getting distracted. So, I told my mom about this because I thought that it was ADD or ADHD, but I tested negative for that. Anyways, the past few days, I’ve noticed I don’t fall asleep until 2 A.M. at the earliest and don’t wake up until 10 A.M. at the earliest. It just recently hit me that this could be insomnia when I started thinking of how this girl in my school is an insomniac. This insomnia is making it really hard to focus in school and it is also making me irritable and giving me terrible mood swings. I would blow up at people for trying to be nice and talking to me, or touching me by accident, or other ridiculous things like that. Because of this, I never do my homework when it is not graded and do it at the last minute when it is (or I should say did. I’m on break right now). I’m annoyed by nearly everything my parents or brothers do and also by really simple things that I know SHOULD NOT bother me at all, but they do. It takes me FOREVER to finish a cross stitch, no matter how small, just because I cannot concentrate on ANYTHING for a long time. Sorry if I repeated some things.

Anyways, I have an appointment with a pediatrician on July 7th for my degenerative TMJ, knee and hip joint pains, and also my acid reflux. She is supposed to be a really great diagnostician. Should I ask her about my insomnia?

Also, my mom sees no problem that it takes so long to fall asleep, but it is a big problem for me. How can I express that to her better?

I nursed my baby exclusively until now that he starting solids. On accident I have set the routine of nursing before nap time. Do any experienced parents have any ways on how to slowly start the nap time routine without have to nurse or suck? He doesn’t nurse because he’s hungry, he does it for comfort. I can’t do the cold turkey thing right away. Thanks

Using Sleeping Aids at 14 to not eat ?

I’m 14 and I don’t like to eat with my family because we live in the South and the food is really fattening. I only eat about 1,000 calories a day which is easy because I’m home alone with my 8 year old brother till about 5. Well when my parents come home I go straight to my room and the only way I can get out of eating is by sleeping. My dad has a lot of sleeping aids in the kitchen cabinet and I just want to know if I take them will it hurt me or will they be able to tell ?

Our bed has wooden slats in it and when the slats were bought they were mesured for the bed, but I am not sure when they were purchsed, I got the bed from my parents and they have had the bed for a while. The slats fit when we put them in and we are not sure why they fall. How can I keep the slats from falling out. We still live in an apartment and will move often until we are able to get a house or put this bed in the guest room so I need something that can be easily taken apart! Thanks for any help!
I really don’t know how to can you be more specific for me? Where would I screw it in at, what kind of screws, should I screw it or nail it?

bipolar……?

for about two and a half years now i’ve been getting really bad mood swings. at first i thought it was simply part of being a teenager, but now i find it hard to believe that.
eg:
i’ll be with my friends having a good time, then suddenly i’ll get really upset over literally nothing. i’ll feel like i need comfort, i can cry, i can feel hopeless, and that no one likes me, that i can’t do anything right, etc. then, i’ll be ecstatic for no reason, jumping, laughing non stop, skipping and not being able to hold still. then suddenly, everything will close in and i can’t have anyone near me, any noise made, anything happening, i HAVE to get away, i do anything to get away from people, and everything is too much. i have these sort of severe feelings and more, and the scariest bit is they appear in any order and unexpectedly. could i have bipolar, or similar? what should i do to find out? im scared of talking to mum, but what would happen if i went to a counsellor?
i just braved telling mum…
she reacted how i expected
told me i didn’t know how good i have things and that i’m being silly, everyone goes through it
she asked me if i ever wanted to kill myself, and i said no…
you don’t tell the truth when parents ask you that, you cant

i can’t fall asleep at night and in the morning i feel sooo tired.
this may be because i can’t shut my mind off when i go to bed (at ten btw!)

i’ve barely been able to sleep at night. during the weak my parents make me go to bed at nine but i don’t actually go to sleep. i sit up until about one or two in the morning and i have to wake up at 5:30. so i wanna know if there’s anything i can do to fix this. i’m beginning to experience mirco-naps as well.

I am going on a flight for 11 hours going and 13 hours coming back. I really want to sleep on the plane so I was thinking about taking some medicine to make me go to sleep. I here taking Benadryl just for sleeping is bad due to the side effects. Also my parents are kind of nervous giving me any type of sleeping medicine, so what are the side effects of the drugs. Also how long does it take for the medicine to go in effect.

I need some help, I wanted an DVD but my parents said no they won’t be able to get it for me, I kept on asking and they started to get mad & stressed out that they said they want to call the cops. I know i have Bipolar Disorder I’m always happy now and upset & mad later i can’t live with this problem anymore i have live with it since I’m 13 Till 18 Yrs old now. Please give me some help!
