Is the herb pill valerian root good for anxiety?

I’m worried about my health, I have really bad anxiety attacks which makes my chest really sore and I’ve tried paxil, and now celexa which worked for awhile but now i have 5 or 6 panic attacks in 1 day. So will this herb pill work with the anxiety and attacks?

My question is are both these drugs the same? Do they have the same effect as I take Lunesta for panic attacks at night. Lunesta has a nice calming effect unlike other medication I have tried like Trazadone. If not are there other medications the work the same as Lunesta and have the same effects as it can be very costly.

I’ve been on Cymbalta (it’s been am miracle drug for my depression) for some time and generally use clonazepam more-so to sleep than for anxiety. I’m not taking it as much for panic attacks anymore. But when I try not to take anything for sleep, I just don’t sleep as well or not at all.

Sleeping Pill?

I need alot of help, I have anxiety/panic disorder (panic attacks are the worst!) and whenever Im away from home, like on a vacation, I have trouble sleeping, which makes me anxious, giving me panic attacks, so its all a cycle…

I need a sleeping pill that really works quickly, and keeps you asleep for a long time (8 hours), it has to be one that wont be habit forming, and it cant lose its effect quickly (say in a two week period)

thank you so much!

My old doctor had me on valium and or paxil since high school for panic attacks and now that I’ve moved to a different city I’ve been to 3 doctors and they either "don’t believe in them" or just won’t give them to me. I know I need them sometimes I feel like my brain is going to explode if I don’t calm down n nothing I try helps. So if anyone has any answers for me that would b great ..

I’ve been living with bipolar disorder officially for almost 3 years but only took medication for the first year (trileptal). I stopped taking it and for the past 2 years I basically withdrew from society. but I’m starting college again in the summer and hopefully will have a job too. I am prone to severe panic attacks when I’m stressed and I’m always operating at a high level of anxiety everyday. I don’t want it to rule my life and i really want to get my degree. If anyone can share any similar experiences I would greatly appreciate it.

Talking about people with true anxiety disorders people housebound with agoraphobia, panic attacks, seizures and crippling anxiety. Some people need to be on them for life. What do you think

My sister had bad postpartum with her first child. She is expecting again, but this time around, she is afraid of getting really bad panic attacks again. I know you can take Zoloft while pregnant but that doesn’t quite work while having a panic attack episode. Are there any safe Benzodiazepines for pregnancy?

Two days ago I started having severe panic attacks in the morning. The attacks usually last from 5am to 12pm, which I find rather odd…

I’ve considered several causes for the attacks, such as stress, insomnia and even that shitty synthetic marijuana I had smoked. I don’t intend to touch that shit anymore.

Any suggestions as to what the other causes may be and how I can treat this. I’m already perscribed 20mg of Lexapro, but apparently it’s not helping as much.

I have Bipolar 1 Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, anxiety and depression.

I was on medication for a year including Abilify, Welbutrin, Effxor, Ambien and Klonopin.

For the entire time I took the medication I felt lie a zombie. I didn’t want to do anything, and it took everything I had just to do the bare minimum. It worked overly well for stabilizing my mood- I just didn’t care enough about anything at all to put up much of a fight.

So about two weeks ago I stopped taking my medication because I just couldn’t stand it anymore. Things have improved in a lot of areas including in my feelings and actions. I actually wake up and get things done that I need to get done, and even finally find some joy and motivation in the things I used to like doing. The problem is that without the medication I do face other problems such as being easily irritated, waking up several times a night with difficulties of getting back to sleep and I continue to have panic attacks, especially when I wake up at night.

I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to deal with any of these problems, especially associated with the illnesses that I have. I’d really like to give it a shot and do this on my own without medication or therapy (tried it for 6 months and got no positive results) because I think that’s the only real way I am going to be able to honestly deal with it and stick to it without being an over medicated zombie.

Is it okay to take Benadryl every night for anxiety?

I’m 17 and I always have a hard time going to sleep and have anxiety at night. Sometimes I even have panic attacks, but not too bad. I’ve been taking Benadryl to help me sleep and it helps, but I read that you shouldn’t take it, is that true?

My boyfriend takes clonazepam (only .5 mg) every night for panic attacks and sleep issues. However, they no longer work for his insomnia, so he started taking a regular sleeping pill (which has helped a lot). Could this be bad for him?

Since the beginning of this year, I’ve been having panic attacks. I had started smoking weed daily around the same time and last week got to thinking "Hmm, maybe the 420 is triggering my panic attacks" so I decided to stop smoking for a while and see what was up. I stopped smoking last Tuesday and noticed that I got a lot better. From Tuesday night til Sunday night I was functioning normally, no more panic attacks or uncommon anxiety (I’ve had minor anxiety my whole life, but nothing that had really affected me).

Anyways, my dumb ass decided to take ecstacy last night. I took a pink pussycat and a little later was on the verge of a panic attack again. It was so bad, I asked my mom to sleep with me (I’m a 23 year old woman!) then noticed the insomnia too. At first I thought it was her snoring, so I went to the living room to try to sleep on the couch, but the filter of the fish tank didn’t let me sleep either. I kicked her out of my room, but still couldn’t sleep. Took 3 all natural stress relief pills and nothing. My mom finally had to give me Tylenol PMs to help me knock out.

I thought I’d wake up this morning feeling like my normal self again, but I still feel as though I’m going through a panic attack. Still can’t be in the living room cos the fish tank filter makes me really nervous and my anxiety is THROUGH THE ROOF. How long is this going to last? What can I do to relieve it?

I feel I’m going insane.

I should mention that I had a coke problem for about 5 years prior to this. That might be the reason for the attacks, although 97% of the time I feel it’s triggered by use of other drugs (cannabis, E). What’s going on with me? Anyone?

Problems with citalopram?

I started celexa 10mg a day four weeks ago. After one week I went to 20mg a day. My anxiety has increased since startin the celexa. I get more panic attacks and am VERY restless. The celexa is also causing alot of sweating and hot flashes. I also think its making me very un-motivated and blunted. Its been a month and I havent felt any relief at all just Side effects! My libido however hasnt changed oddly enough. I also get insomnia since starting it which I NEVER had before. They say it takes weeeks to feel an effect and that the side effects will subside but as far as I can tell they are actually getting worse as time goes on. Anyone on celexa or was on it that had these same problems. I am thinking of tapering off or cuttting back to 10mg and see what happens. what do you think?
