Well I’m thirteen and I took an otc sleeping pill just over an hour ago. They haven’t really been working lately (I don’t take them regularly) and I’m getting kinda bored :/ They instructions say to take two regular capsules or one extra-strength. I have the extra-strength ones. I don’t know if it would b a bad idea to take another. Any suggestions?

I’ve developed terrible insomnia. So nights i dont even sleep. I’ve been taking OTC sleeping aids. I find that these don’t really help. I can tell when they start working because i feel drowsy but i still cant sleep. Last night i took one and it still took me almost an hour to sleep after it kicked in. Sometimes i feel like im in a semi-conscientious state. My body is sleeping but my mind is still moving a million miles an hour. I usually wake up tired and moody. I’m a student, workfull time and do like eleventibillion other things a day. I think im headed toward exhaustion. I’m afraid to ask for prescription pills. I was on pain pills once after being hit by a tow truck, and i had terrible nightmares. I’ve read many of the pills on the market for insomnia, make ppl do things during the night, that can endanger them and their families. Not to mention what has happened to Heath Ledger. What should i do?
I exercise regularly. That’s among the eleventibillion things i do a day. I hit the gym about 4 times a week.
And smoking pot def is not an option for me. Thanks for the suggestions though!

Hi,
I take 25mg of paxil CR and I want to take a prescription sleep aid like lunesta because I have insomnia. The pharmacist said there is a slight interaction but to ask my doctor about it. I’ve tried OTC sleep aids like sominex and they don’t do anything. So, is it safe to take a sleep aid and paxil together?

Anger issues perhaps, Charlton? Go masturbate you dumbass.

My girlfriend and I both have had sleeping problems for as long as I can remember. She is on some kind of prescription pill and tosses and turns all night. This tossing and turning keeps me awake because I am a light sleeper. Are there any otc sleep aids that can put me into a deeper sleep? I have no problems falling asleep, just staying asleep. Also, are there any that I should stay away from? I read that Calms Forte can give some trippy halucinations, so those are things I would prefer to stay away from. I also would prefer to not use herbal teas or supplements. Suggestions and why?

I’ll be taking a trip on Sunday and I will be staying in a hotel. I find it extremely difficult to sleep in hotels so I am thinking of getting a sleep aid to help me. I’ll only need to take it for two days. What are some good OTC sleep aids that could help me out? Once again, I only need to take it for TWO DAYS.

I took my sons otc benadryl for eye irritation, I took 4 teaspoons the dose for 12 and up. I felt so drugged for 2 days. I couldn”t walk or even have the energy to lift my feet. The next day I was normal again. Is that typical of this drug? I am 28 and this was my first time using it.
I only took one dose.

I’m on a 10 day course of Augmentin (antibiotic) right now, but it seems like my right eustachian tube is clogged up. I would like to get some temporary relief with over the counter meds.
Does anyone know if decongestants and antihistamines can even be used in conjunction with antibiotics safely? Maybe you even know which OTC meds to take for this?

I am flying to Korea next week. The total airtime for the longest portion of the trip will be about 12 hours. I would like to sleep for at least 4-5 of those hours so I won’t have to eat my own foot due to lack of entertainment and severe boredom. I have heard a nice strong shot of whiskey will do it. But I am not so sure how I would do being drunk in a kindergarten style chair the airline industry calls a "seat". Can anyone who has some experience in this field recommend a sleeping aid that will knock me out for a few hours but won’t make me feel disgusting when I wake up? I would prefer it to be OTC.
And if you also know any tricks on avoiding jet lag- throw some of those in too.

Sometimes I have nights where I can’t fall asleep and I end up sleeping for 3 hours or none at all. This would sometimes last 3 days to 3 weeks. Other nights I can fall asleep but I end up waking up too early. I don’t really feel depressed tho (which I heard can cause insomnia) and everything in my life is good. How can I cure this? I don’t like taking sleeping pills and anyways they don’t work whether OTC or Rx. Can someone help me? Thanks.
Oh, and I don’t drink coffee and I exercise in the morning only.
I’m 32 years old and about to graduate school. I exercise every other day at the gym (eliptical machine for 45 mins and 20 min. weights) and the other days I walk my dog. Also, I’m going through some changes where I’m trying to get an internship at some top-notch companies so that’s been on my mind alot along with trying to find a job because I have financial struggles. But other than those things, I’m pretty ok. I’m wondering if these are what’s causing my insomnia. I noticed others still are able to sleep even though they have more stresses than what I have in my life.
