I’m fifteen, and I’ve had Anxiety Disorder for years. Lately I haven’t been able to get to sleep for hours upon hours of just sitting in bed and watching a movie, listening to calm music, etc. I’m extremely tired and can barely close my eyes for any longer than a blink, but every time I do just try to lie down and be calm and slip into sleep, I usually jolt and my heart races for a bit. I’ve been trying my usual little routines, but just need some relief to help me get to sleep. Can’t have medication, either. Wondering if there are any relaxing techniques out there? Thankyou!

I want to fall asleep with my music but my headphones get tangled and I’m afraid I may choke myself while sleeping. And I can’t put the speakers because it might wake up others and I don’t want to disturb them. So like how do you do it?

When driving my 20 mile commute home, sometimes I find that I get very drowsy. I already use the air conditioner and listen to rock music, and am allergic to caffeine. Aside from the obvious (get enough sleep), what are some ideas for avoiding drowsiness when driving?

Do you dream in color?
Do you hear music or voices in your dreams? (Do they actually speak to you; instead of you just hearing them in your head?)
Can you control your dreams?
Do you have nightmares? Daydreams?
What is more real to you, when you’re dreaming or when you’re awake?
I do dream, and I know that everyone dreams are different.
I am fascinated as to, how different everyone’s experience of dreams are, and how much are dreams related to what’s going on in your life at that time.
Maybe i should have put this into seperate questions… I looked at it again and it seems like alot to answer…lol
But give it a shot!

Just a random thought, because I’m always playing in these concerts but rarely in the audience. Seems like a lot of people fall asleep. I know it varies from person to person but for the most part, is it because the music is just too boring or is it because it’s actually soothing?

I haven’t slept well in at least a month. I will go 2-4 days with minimal or minimal or no sleep, and then crash for about 12 hours. I can be physically exhausted, and still unable to sleep. The sleep I do manage to get isn’t restful, and I’m trying to make medication a last resort. I’ve tried music, silence, meditation, vitamins, temperature variations, positions, and even where I sleep, but all to no avail. Do you guys have any other ideas that will help? Thanks in advance!

I always have trouble falling asleep because I always think, "When will I fall asleep?" or "How much longer until I am asleep?" These questions keep me up! Most of the time I also have something I am worried about the next day, and I always play it over in my head about 5 to 10 different ways until I find a solution. What are your tips for falling asleep faster?
Sometimes music can help me, and sometimes white-noise. What else can I do? Thanks!

Every time I go to bed, I lie awake for literally hours. I close my eyes, slow down my breathing and relax every muscle in my body to attempt to fall asleep, but it takes, at the very least, 45 minutes.
What do you all suggest, excluding the use of sleeping pills or alcohol, to expedite my quest to count sheep? For example, are there foods, certain music, or activities that help induce sleepiness? On that topic, should certain foods be avoided?
Please explain in detail the pattern that works for you and thanks ahead of time for an assistance.

I fall asleep listening to my iPod and I was wondering if it’s the same with music and tv. I know that it’s not healthy to fall asleep with the tv on because you can’t ever completely fall asleep. I have my iPod set on timer so that it turns off after 45 minutes and the volume is on very low.
