I just want to know what makes or could make you to fall asleep (faster or instantly) also what could make you sleep better. And also if it annoys anyone else. For example you like to listen to music but it annoys your husband/wife. I want to invent something that could improve your quality of sleep.
the movies i have on my "sleeping aid" list are:
cast away
16 candles
titanic
the breakfast club
the music, the silence, are perfect for putting me to sleep. don’t get me wrong guys, i like these movies, they are just really good at putting me to sleep, was just browsing for ideas of other movies i can add to my list, i think i’ve seen the movies i’ve listed above more than 100x each. i need new material. thanks.
I have a 3 year old son and a 4 year old daughter. They will not fall asleep when i put them to bed, they laugh, play, fight scream and argue with me about going to sleep. I’ve tried everything, sleepy music, staying with them till they fall asleep ignoring. homeopathic sleep aids, NOTHING works! Please help im at my wits end!
I’m 14. I’d usually be tired and go to sleep at around 10:30-11:00 PM, and fall asleep within about 10 minutes without a problem, then wake up at 6:00 AM on schooldays and about 9:00 on weekends and vacation. Now that vacation has started, I continued going to sleep and waking up at the same time. About 10 days ago, I started having problems falling asleep. I would turn on the light, read a book, listen to music, or even try to fall asleep on a different bed, but I would fall asleep at about 4:00 AM and wake up at about 10:00. I did not leave anywhere for the vacation, and in a few days, I am going to a different country, and I’m REALLY excited for that. I think that might be the reason that I’m having trouble falling asleep. How can I cure it? It really bothers me.
I like to listen to music while I’m sleeping.
Mostly KPOP.
If I listen to about an hour and a half of music while sleeping (music is kind of loud) does it affect the amount of sleep I actually get?
Sometimes I will listen to a song or even a whole album on repeat when I go to sleep. The next morning the music sounds completely different, whether it be the speed of the song, the pitch of the voices or the instruments in the song. After this the song never sounds the way it used to again and is just not as good. Why does this happen? Is it the way your brain processes the sounds that are affected because of exposure while sleeping? Why does this happen?
Right my problem is that I usually go to bed late (around 1AM) But I’ve been to bed earlier and had the same problem. I listen to music then struggle to get to sleep and so don’t get to sleep till 5AM and then try to get up at 7:30-8AM and of course it doesn’t happen so I sleep in till 1-3PM and so have usually missed most of my lectures – What should I do?
I know it’s the most important part of sleep, I keep falling asleep with music that’s meant to help you fall asleep on to block out external sounds but when I wake up I can feel that I didn’t sleep at all even thought my body was rested my brain wasn’t.
These soundtracks that apparently help you sleep don’t work i tried the white noise and ocean soundtracks.
I can’t fall asleep because the slightest noise wakes me up.
When I start to do my homework I began to fall asleep and wake up later in the day. At that point I really do not feel like doing it and watch tv, play video games, or listen to music. The only subject that I am having problems with is math. So any suggestions how I can study and get my work done will be helpful. Thank You.
I have had several vodka and OJ drinks! I want to listen to music but I might wake his precious ass up! Should I go to the garage and close the door , turn my car on and listen to music? It is very cold outside and it has been snowing!
Im hoping someone can give me some good advice. I have a horrible time trying to sleep every night. I used to take Lexapro because I have serious anxiety issues (PTSD). I began taking the medication simply because I couldn’t sleep. I had to stop taking the Lexapro b/c my husband and I are trying to have a baby, and it needs to be out of my system. I was doing okay for many months off the medication, but recently, I started taking fertility drugs and those have increased my anxiety (the dr. says it’s because of the rise in hormone levels). Anyway…when I try to sleep at night, I have these horrible anxiety problems. It’s almost like that feeling you get when you know you’re in trouble. (Heart beats really fast, and I get that weird burning feeling in my chest, neck and face–ya know what I mean?) Sometimes I can take a Valium and sleep okay, but Im afraid of not being able to sleep without those if we get pregnant. Anyone have any good drug-free alternatives?
I might try the music…I can’t take any diphenhidramine (sp?) which includes over the counter sleep aids and benedryl. (Doc’s orders…they actually make sleeping worse).
Sigh…no melatonin allowed, either, while trying to concieve. Thanks for your suggestions tho!!
I do not like to drink coffee, energy drinks, or eating packets of sugar. I have a history test tomorrow and I need to study a lot. I can not play music because I need to concentrate. Do you have any tips to make me stay awake and focus. I have tried so many things but every time I fall asleep. I really need your help. I can not go to the store and buy something because I am too young. Please help me.
When people listen to music before bed, they generally listen to something soft and easy to listen to.
Metal on the other hand is not by any means soft or that easy to listen to.. How can people comfortably fall asleep to it?
