I was just diagnosed with sleep apnea after 2 sleep studies. The 2nd night I used a nasal cpap thing. So I go tomorrow to buy a machine and mask and start with the treatment.

My insurance usually pays 70% for most things, and I’m not sure if they are with this (they’re paying something, just not sure how much). When I talked to the place I’ll be buying from, they said my portion after insurance will be 3. So if they are paying 70% (again I don’t know, maybe it’s different with this) that would mean I’m getting almost ,500 worth of equipment.

But from looking online at cpap machines, they tend to run even on the high end for about -900 at the most that I saw. And the masks were only at most 0 (that I saw). So is there something I’m missing? This seems ridiculously expensive.

Either way, does anyone have a good recommendation for the best machine and nasal "pillow" type mask? If money wasn’t an obstacle, what would be the "best"? I’m new to this, so thank you!

Anyone own a Sleep Number Bed for back problem?

Love to hear if you love your Sleep Number Bed and if it is worth the money. I have lower back pain and nerve pain in my left leg. I am seeking to buy one of these, but love to hear advice and opinions on this type of bed. Please tell me the pros and cons of having this bed, including the price. Thanks so much!

I don’t have any money and am having trouble sleeping. I did try to go see a doctor but he wanted to to make an apointment and start a big file on me and have a big exam…I don’t have that kind of money, nor do I have insurance. All the "free" clinics I go to won’t do prescriptions. I also need some pills for high cholesterol. What is wrong here? Why can’t I get medicine in America without paying my entire paycheck over to a guy to write a prescription?

how can i make it work? I know i will only be able to have a bed and dresser which is fine because i did ok with it during college. i don’t have the money to buy a new mattress. if i decide to have tv in my room it will probably put it on the wall above my dresser and put some storage containers under my bed for clothes. the closet is also small, i haven’t measured it, but its approx bwtn 3-4 ft, maybe 5 ft(i doubt that) wide. also im in my 20s so i want to make it look a little mature.

I need at least a Queen size. It doesn’t have to be fancy. Can someone give me a website for discounted Sleep Number beds? Or does anyone have a gently used one they want to get rid of?

Wow Luckyone you are really judgemental. People have bad credit for a lot of reasons. Not just because they spend money. I have bad credit due to medical bills I can’t pay if you really want to know.

I know simple, My question will be below this, any reading on is just details about me and sleep related experience, details will not be needed for the question.

Methods of doing this, being able to get rested sleep in 20-30 minutes?

Not sure how this works, I understand the sleep cycles and REM, so I find it hard to believe

I have heard this since I was a child how if one, well doesn’t matter since I know only bits of how the methods work and currently, no time to search yet I am posting this, it is I am tired but I know I cannot let myself sleep or nap, if I do, I will not wake up for several hours even if I plan a 30 minute nap with a very loud alarm, I will not wake.

Anyways, right now I would like to do this. I just finished a shift, in 2 hours I will be back at work which will be morning. Usually I love to work where I am and for what it is, the environment I am in. I am working the NOC shift at the datacenter, I am asking this cause in the past it is very easy for me to fall into a short into a short nap and just always works out disastrously. The last time, anyone working in datacenters know, cold isles and hot isles, hot isles, 90 degrees but a nice rush of warm air and if you were lay down on the floor, the very cold floor doesn’t bother you when you have the very warm air rushing over you. My mistake was not getting up as soon as I layed down and it happened, 4 hours later the phone was going off many times, finally waking with the phone ringing, coming out of it as you would if you were to sleep 8 hours then hearing the voice on the other end in a panic, and you don’t know how to respond yet and hearing about how a email server has been down for over 2 hours and this is something that should never, never happen, especially clients paying massive amounts of money per month for this not to happen so I just make sure to do nothing that will result in me falling asleep. anytime I start to nod, I bring myself out of it and do something from past experiences, If I go with those nods, happens every time, I will fall asleep. I have tried many methods, methods one would think would be overkill and work for sure with absolutely no doubt and they do not work, and I have done a lot of research, time and trials per say and all failed, fail meaning I went into a deep sleep,

also very in tune with my subcon,.. won’t say anymore, ones that know will be enough info to understand what I mean.

Every time I take anything with diphenhydramine in it, I get bad stomach pains the next day.
I have taken ambien, but I can’t afford it anymore. Is there anything else I can take to make me fall asleep. Im willing to try a natural sleep aid if anyone has personal experience of it working. I don’t want to waste money on something that doesn’t help. Unisom doesn’t make me sleepy at all.

Cpap machine?




Does anyone know if the Canadian health care system covers the cost of purchasing a cpap machine. Or does the patient have to pay for it through their own money.

My gf has bipolar disorder, and she gets Mania often and very depressed soon after. Her "normal" isnt very often. She has hullcinations when manic. She is violent at times too. She loves sex…alot. She’s loud, and likes to bite me sometimes. And she can write insanely well, like really well. She hates to eat, and constantily thinks shes fat, and wont eat. She has a low-self esteem. She will randomly spend outrageous amounts of money on odd things too…How do I help her? Or "deal" with her?
She’s on medication already, the highest dose there is actaully
It’ll be a year for us on June 6th, and I dont want to lose her.

sleep problems!!! i HATE mornings!! please help!?




ok so i have sleeping problems no matter what i cant wake myself up i have tryed many alarms and set them all of at one time and put them on the other side of the room and everything. so in the morning im a teenager i wanna sleep for around 8 hours whenever i get in bed and go to sleep there is no way i can get myself out of bed for 14 hours or more. whenever i have to be up the next morning i stay up all night because i know if i go to sleep no matter what it is the next day i wont be up i turn my alarms off in my sleep and if i do wake up i turn them off and go back to sleep without even thinking about what i have to do its getting in the way of my life and im always tired cause i stay up all the time like right now its 4 AM someones coming in the morning to give me money for plowing a driveway so i have to stay up to be awake and then i stay up all day cause i get wraped up in what needs done please someone help!
when im up i have no problems staying up but feel crapy cause im so tired but i think 60 + hour days because i have to much to do arnt good for me at all and im sick of feeling tired
no one but my girlfriend can get me out of bed my mom trys to wake me up i get pissed or anyone in my family i get pissed and yell at them to let me go back to bed without even thinking about sleeping my mom has said its depression because i feel my girlfirend is the only thing worth getting out of bed for but she lives 30 min drive away and has a life and cant come to my house to wake me up every morning haha

My friends and I are going on a road trip later this year, but we want to save money by not going to hotels along the way (and even limiting the number of hostels we visit). Part of the way we can stay at the homes of friends and family, but not the whole way. What I’m wondering is, what are the laws in California, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia regarding sleeping in a car and/or road side camping?
