Hi I’m about to do my science project this weekend on sleep deprivation. I’m going to be using my mom and my 12 year old sister for my experiment. My teacher told me to make them take a test. But I forgot to ask him what kind of test, since the bell rang. May anyone tell me what kind of test I need to give them? Like what kind of questions I should give them? I’ll appreciate the help.

sleeping problems how can i sleep better?

i’m 15 and for a year now i have been sleeping horribly. No matter how tired i am i can’t fall asleep the moment i go in my bed and try to sleep i think about everything that happened literally everything and i just can’t stop thinking around 2 am my body passes out i asked my mom about sleeping pills but she said no because she said that you can become addicted. Do you have any advice on how to sleep better?? please help i have my final exams in a week would really appreciate a nice rest.

cant sleep and got addicted to tylenol PM?

okay so i have a big problem, im only 13 and i couldnt sleep. So my mom gives me a tylenol pm, and i sleep well. this goes on for a week, then 2 weeks, and now i cant even feel tierd without takeing one of this Tylenol PM things. in otherwords im addicted to it. Any ideas on how to cut this addiction, and how i can help myself sleep?

What should I do to sleep better?

I am 17yrs and I recently got caught with some marijuana in my room by my mom and the reason y I would do it is because I have trouble sleeping and with it I nock out really good and comfortable.. Anyone know anything I can take or any good pills or anything fo help me sleep? I dont have insurance so I cant just go to the doctor and get anything subscribed. Anyone know what I can do?

i am 16 and having trouble sleeping, i have been taking some HCI 25 sleep aid thing, and it hasnt really been working. my mom said to take one of her 3mg lunesta’s, but i dont know if i can. can i?

What sleeping pills work the best?

I have trouble going falling a sleep each night, it’ll be 4am and I will still be rolling around trying to sleep. I haven’t been dianosed with insomia yet but my mom has it and were pretty sure I have it too. We also think I have restless leg snydom too. Right now I’m taking 2 melatolins each night but it’s only helped a little bit. What pills work? Is their something else I can do to help me sleep?

Is it normal and ok for my 3yr old neice to snore?

I have a niece that when she sleeps with me and my mom in the same bed (its a king or queen bed. HUGE) she snores. But when she sleeps with her parents she doesnt?? Why? And is it normal for 3yr olds to snore? And she is healthy no asthma no illness or diesease So what causes her to snore?Oh and she goes to school too (pre-pre-k)

I did some research about it, and I have the following signs:

Difficulty falling asleep
Difficulty with memory
Poor concentration & focus
Waking up during the night, many times(sometimes every hour or so)
Very tired throughout the day
I take naps when I get home from school
I sometimes am not able to fall asleep for a long time(I will be up at 6 in the morning and not be able to fall asleep until 2-5 in the morning the next day, if that makes sense)
And I am very irritable

I’m 16, by the way.
Are there any other symptoms and do you think I have it? I think I do, and am going to have my mom take me to the doctor soon.

sleep stages. stage 4 of sleep. night terrors?

hey i need to know how to tell when someone is in stage 4 of sleep. i have extremely bad night terrors and i am having my friend bring on a night terror to me and i need him to do a few things once i reach stage 4 of sleep and how llong it is usualy to get to that stage. and he needs to know when he should start putting me in to the night terrors and also if you have any information on bringing on night terrors that would be helpfull too. thanks.
dont worry i have him and his mom watching over me during this and this is specificly to figure out the cause of my night terrors. every friday night i will have a new variable. i am going to find out the source so i can try to prevent them. this is a serious matter and is not just being done for play

Anyone have or know symptoms for insomnia?

I’m 21 and as long as I can remember i’ve had sleeping problems. My mom said at age 3-4 she would find me cleaning my room at 2 or 3am. I usually go to bed around 10, just after my daughter and lay awake for hours. In the morning i am extremely tired, then at 4 or 5pm i feel like i NEED to sleep. Lately i’ve had alot on my mind (flashbacks to being raped by my brother from age 7-11). In the last 5 years or so, i’ve tried sleeping pills, chamomile tea before bed, vigorous exercise during the day, nighttime yoga, breathing exercises, and i do not drink anything besides OJ, milk and water. Does anyone know what I could do besides going to my doc? I’m already on pills for my anxiety, but i feel this may be the cause of everything.

What are causes and symptoms of Insomnia?

Im 13 and I think I might have it, Well I stayed up all night for the 2 weeks off and I needed a pill on sunday to sleep for monday then On tuesday I fell asleep at 3:00 I had to have my mom sleep with me cause I felt afraid for some reason which never happens then yesteday I made myself sleep by telling myself i was tired over and over again but my mom layed with me again and today i feel scared that I might not sleep good again and I still scared to sleep alone, But yesterday I woke up at 11:00 pm then 2:00 am then 4:00 am. and my mom said she was going to give me pills but im afraid that I will end up depending them and feel like taking them every night. I dont want to depend on pills I just want to sleep normanly. And when it becomes night time I feel really scared and crap… I never felt like this before and I cried because it really stressed me out.

Do I have Insomnia or a sleep disorder?, HELP?

Im 12 and have a lot on my mind, and Im tired during the day but not at night, I just lie in bed trying to go to sleep and its at least 3 an till I’m tired and im still not tired. Just barley. But I’m a little tired the next. What does this mean. Is it a sleep disorder? My mom will just yell at me for stayin up late, what do u guys have?? HELP

Hi, I’m 15 and have needed AT LEAST an hour every night to fall asleep for as long as I can remember. I have never been fully rested since I started having this problem who-knows-how-long ago. I really need help with it, though, because it is starting to really hurt me in school. Through my 9th grade year I found myself daydreaming more than I ever had before. Even before, like back to 5th grade, I never could focus easily in class and found myself taking a long time to push through my work. I am a solid A/B student and have been my whole life, but have also had trouble finishing something and not getting distracted. So, I told my mom about this because I thought that it was ADD or ADHD, but I tested negative for that. Anyways, the past few days, I’ve noticed I don’t fall asleep until 2 A.M. at the earliest and don’t wake up until 10 A.M. at the earliest. It just recently hit me that this could be insomnia when I started thinking of how this girl in my school is an insomniac. This insomnia is making it really hard to focus in school and it is also making me irritable and giving me terrible mood swings. I would blow up at people for trying to be nice and talking to me, or touching me by accident, or other ridiculous things like that. Because of this, I never do my homework when it is not graded and do it at the last minute when it is (or I should say did. I’m on break right now). I’m annoyed by nearly everything my parents or brothers do and also by really simple things that I know SHOULD NOT bother me at all, but they do. It takes me FOREVER to finish a cross stitch, no matter how small, just because I cannot concentrate on ANYTHING for a long time. Sorry if I repeated some things.

Anyways, I have an appointment with a pediatrician on July 7th for my degenerative TMJ, knee and hip joint pains, and also my acid reflux. She is supposed to be a really great diagnostician. Should I ask her about my insomnia?

Also, my mom sees no problem that it takes so long to fall asleep, but it is a big problem for me. How can I express that to her better?

I wash my bed sheets once every week. I’m in college and I’m keeping this habit thanks to my mom. However, my roommate will not wash his sheets. This is gross. I’ve talked about this with him months before and he says he doesn’t care. The next day when he left for the weekend, he had taken his bed sheets of. I think I convinced him! But seriously, this is disgusting. Since then he hasn’t but I don’t really care. Is it true your skin sheds at night?
