My German shepherd lab mix weighs about 25 pounds. And he is having allergic reactions to flea bites. I have given him numerous flea baths and he wears a flea coller. I can’t seem to get rid of them. He is biting and scratching the hair off him. Now a vet told me I can give him benadryl but didnt say how much. I am also wondering what the best flea medicine is. Any advise is greatly appreciated.!! Thanks.

well, my mum is at that age where menopause kicks in. she doesn’t get a lot of quality sleep most of the time because of the crazy hormones(or lack of), and we all have to deal with the after affects of a cranky, sleep deprived mother. so, i was wondering, is there anything i can do for her? anyway of getting better sleep? i would prefer things that didn’t involve medicine(well leave that to the doctor)

I was recently prescribed Lunesta as a sleeping aid, and I have noticed some off the wall side effects. Such as a metallic taste in my mouth, can’t drink anything sweet (apple juice, soda) and I get instantly sick in cars. As anyone had any luck with this medicine?

I don’t have any money and am having trouble sleeping. I did try to go see a doctor but he wanted to to make an apointment and start a big file on me and have a big exam…I don’t have that kind of money, nor do I have insurance. All the "free" clinics I go to won’t do prescriptions. I also need some pills for high cholesterol. What is wrong here? Why can’t I get medicine in America without paying my entire paycheck over to a guy to write a prescription?

I have nightly terrible nightmares, I have been diagnosed with PTSD. I have tried everything. Is there any way that I can get rid of these nightmares without medicine (right now they want to put me on a new blood pressure medicine)? I do not believe in "traditional" therapy. Is there anyway I can get rid of these nightmares and can get a good night’s sleep? I will try anything!

I have had insomnia for the last several weeks now. I saw a dr. and he put me on a prescription sleep aid which only seemed to work for 4 hours or so and then I was wide awake again. I did not like the way it made me feel either. Kind of aggitated and not feeling right. So, I have melatonin. What is the most of this I can take at night time before I go to bed??? I have 3mg tablets. This won’t harm me will it?? I want sleep. I don’t drink caffeine or eat chocolate. Does ANYONE have ANY ideas to help me fall asleep and stay asleep?? I don’t really have much faith in my dr. after this medicine he put me on. It was horrible the way it made me feel. Someone please HELP me!!

I have really bad insomnia sometimes. There are some nights when I stay up the entire time, I develop a pounding headache, but just can’t seem to get to sleep. There are also some times when I don’t sleep for 24+ hours. I don’t know how this comes on or how to control it! I don’t like taking medicine unless there is nothing left to do, so I prefer any natural remedy. Any advice?

I don’t want to take medicine for it, but it is really taking a toll on me. I’m always so tired, I am always stressed out and irritable. I get so bored, my mom is always screaming at me for being up, and it is going to start affecting my grade in trig.

I sleep near a loud motor every night, but the diphenhydramine isn’t working as well as it used to. what are your thoughts on switching to a stronger medicine? I don’t want to become some kind of pill junkie!

My boyfriend has had asthma and allergies since he was a kid, and I hate seeing him sniffle and snort and have trouble breathing. He treats the asthma and tries to treat the allergies but they still bother him. Any suggestions for a good medicine he can try? He has seasonal allergies as well as specific allergies ( smoke, cigarettes, cats, etc.) He stays as far from each one as possible.

I’ve been advised to take melatonin to help with my sleeping, i’ve always had terrible sleeping patterns so while it may be connect to my depression, it’s not entirely that reason. And i asked users on here and they told me to try St. John’s Wort. Has anyone heard that these can help? anny other suggestions or where to get natural medicine that would help me?
