Need To Get Some Sleep. HELP!!!?




I have suffered from periods of insomnia for most of my life. It is mainly a cyclic thing, but times of great stress can intensify or prolong the cycle. Over the years I have tried OTC drugs, homeopathic drugs, avoid certain foods, etc. Some would help for a little while and then just stop working. I tried Ambien and Ambien CR a few years ago and that didn’t really work either.

I am in a real bad cycle right now. I have averaged about 2 hours of sleep per night for the last 2 months. Doctor gave me a script for Lunestra, had to take the maximum dose and still no relief. Also, it isn’t covered by my insurance, so I would be shelling out some major bucks for this.

I’m looking for any suggestions, other than what I have listed above. I’m afraid if I don’t get out of this cycle soon, I may end up having a breakdown or something.

What do you do when sleeping pills do not work?




I have tried EVERY sleeping pill. (literally)
I am now on the maximum dose of Lunesta.
It no longer works and it’s only been a week.
when I take it I’m not even tired or able to sleep.

What should I do and how can I get some sleep?!
I have tried all the benzodiazepines.
Does lithium put you to sleep? are there any Other Types of meds that might work?
