Dreams????




I havent had a dream for a long time. My mind is running so much that I can never fall asleep. I have to go to school in mornings. I love to dream but I never get dreams. I love to write and I like to write sroys based on my dreams but yea. What should I do? Thanks.

Think I have a drinking problem…?




I started drinking a long time ago. I found it entertaining and a great way to make boring things fun. Eventually it lead to me drinking with friends, playing beer pong, etc. I hit a discovery that it helps me to go to bed once, so I drank occasionally when i couldn’t go to sleep. Of course, I would keep drinking to go to sleep in moderation. If you drink too much you won’t have proper REM cycles and the sleep I tried to gain would become useless.

Anyways, since the first of this year till now… I believe I have had about 15 to 20 sober days. A week ago I drank one half a liter of Heaven Hill Vodka (my favorite form of alcohol). I woke up with NO hangover. For some odd reason Heaven Hill just doesn’t give me hangovers… my brother said it is because I drink it often enough that I built up a tolerance and slowly worked away hangovers. With no hangover, I drank another half a liter of HH. Two days later i drank another half liter of HH. After that I decided to slow down, so I am on my 4th sober day (after 2 months of drinking solid), but i find not drinking boring. It gets late… I watch television…

Anyone have any comments on what i should do? I wouldn’t bother slowing down normally, but I thought about it and realized I am only 18……..

My friend has weird, ridiculous dreams that she can’t really explain to me. She told me to watch the movie The Cell and see the dream sequences of the murderer in the movie, and that is like her dreams. What does this mean?

Note: Her dreams aren’t drawn from seeing the movie, she saw the movie after having these dreams, and she’s had them for a long time.

This person (happens to be the singer of my favorite band) is always in my dreams. I can clearly recall 6 dreams he’s been in, but I know there have been more than that. Last night in my dream he hugged me for a long time and said "thank you". It’s really freaking me out!!

What could this mean?

Is this insomnia? How can I fix it?




Right now I feel exhausted and would just love to go to sleep. I’ve been trying to sleep for the last two hours. This has been happening for a long time, but it is starting to get worse. Now I don’t fall asleep until 3ish and I have to get up at 5. My grades are starting to slip. Is this insomnia? Can I cure it without seeing a doctor? Before I go to bed I usually just sit and relax but it doesn’t really help at all.

For a long time I have had the feeling that no matter what attempts I make in life to lead me to a happier existence, that its not worth searching because im so lost, but I had a very vivid dream during the rem cycle just befor waking….

In the dream, I was in a sort of walled courtyard with Aztec style constructs, but in a dry, arid, arabian terrain and desert climate….there was a sountrack in my head from a band i like called ”Sublime”….I thought ”well this musics not very appropriate for my ugly surroundings”….I decided to jump over the courtyard walls to see the surrounding landscape, which of course was dry and arid desert, but I decided to wander into the desert, but not expecting to find anything beautiful or fruitful, but thought ”well what the hell ill keep walking anyway.

After a while, to my surprise I eventually found something beautiful, it was a wall of different coloured blocks, like on those puzzel computer games where you hit a block and it falls….I started pushing these multicoloured blocks and like on the games they disapeared or dropped to replace the previous one, there was a feeling of joy while doing it, like it was a kind of Oasis of sorts, I then woke up.

I have my ideas of what the dream meant, but would like to hear your take to see if its similar to my take on it….would really appreciate your input here guys, thanks.

It usually takes me a very long time for me to finally go to sleep. I don’t know why…My mom can fall asleep in like 5 seconds. You know she’s sleeping because she snores. She’s reading a book or something on the couch, she turns off the light, and 5 seconds later she’s snoring her head off! But it takes me, usually, about 1 hour or so to fall asleep. Sigh. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes the average person to fall asleep? I don’t think I am the average person!

There’s this job that I’m trying to get that is from 10:30 pm to 6 am. It PAYS, it’s a piece of cake, and I’m more of a night owl than a morning person anyways. However, I don’t see when I would get all my sleep really….. I have school at 1:40pm so I at least need to be awake by 1pm. By the time I drive home and everything from the job, it’d be around 7AM. So I’d have approx 6 hours of sleep (give or take, because I tend to lay there for a long time before I actually fall asleep) before school. Actually probably less than that if I want to eat lunch. I get out of school at 3:15, and home around 3:40 (the traffic is awful). Then sometime in the evening (very flexible and not necessary a specified time I need to be there, but it takes at least 3 hours) I need to go out to the barn and clean stalls (my other job). I don’t necessarily need to do this every single evening, but at least 4 times a week.

So right now my schedule is:

1:40 pm – school
3:15 – get out of school
3:40 – get home
5-8 pm – clean stalls (although again, I don’t do this every single evening, just four evenings a week give or take a few).
3 AM – bed time ;-]

So I do have a lot of free time, however, I don’t know when I would get all my sleep. I would be able to get 5-6 hours of sleep before school, and possible squeeze in 2-3 hours of sleep after school somehow to get my full 8 hours (although I normally like to go for 10 hours or so LOL ;-]
But my problem is, can I still get through enough REM cycles when I split up my sleep into sections like that? a sleep cycle is 90 minutes, correct? I’m just worried that I can’t really split my sleep up like this and still allow my body to go through what it needs to go through during sleep.

BTW I’m an 18 year old female… if my diet is relevant, I’m a vegetarian, and I don’t take vitamins. Oh, and as far as medications, I take Zoloft.
LOL and now it’s gone because someone reported it so you look like your on crack because you’re making a comment about nothing LOL!!!

I’ve been taking Ambien CR for about a month now and my short term memory has been just awful. I know, I know, I need to get off of it, and I’m planning on doing that tonight. Once I stop taking CR, though, will my short term memory boost and be back to normal or will I have to live with a bad short term memory for a long time?

Im 13 and I usually go to bed around 4 5 6 AM because I cant fall asleep at a sensable time. If I try to go to bed at 2 or 3 I lay in bed for a super long time. I would like to go to bed at like 11 or 1 AM. Please help me!
Oh and I am not going to take sleepiong pills at ALL. They lower your senses to alow demons in…

insomnia. insomnia. insomnia. insomnia?




What are the signs of insomnia? What are the symptoms you know? Because I’m really curious if my sleep deprivation is caused by insomnia. I already know insomnia is linked to stress and worrying.

I worry a lot. At night when I go to bed I often lay in my bed and think for a long time. I get restless and have to get up. When I can sleep sometimes I wake in the middle of the night and can’t fall back asleep for some time.

Does anyone have any natural cures for insomnia? I’m not a fan of synthetic pills.

I’m a young and healthy teenager. Height: 5’2" & Weight: 95lbs
I go to sleep around 10 p.m. on a school night and wake up around late 5 to early 6 a.m.
I come home from school by 3 p.m.
Around 5 p.m. I take a loooong nap OR I sleep for the entire day & wake up in the morning the next day.

One day, I slept 18 hours straight.

Why do I sleep so much?
Do I have a sleeping disorder?
I’ve been sleeping so much for a long time.
Also, I’m a vegetarian. I’ve been one for two years.

I always wanted to know that. It’s really starting to annoy me, and sometimes it will get so bad that my foot starts hurting. My foot always seems to fall asleep how, and takes a long time for it to stop. Thanks for your answers.

How can I fall asleep faster at night?




Lately it has been taking me a really long time to fall asleep at night (usually around an hour), and If I don’t fall asleep in like 15 minutes, I start to feel anxiety because I am not falling asleep fast enough, which makes it even harder for me to sleep. What can I do to fall asleep faster?
I can’t exercise much because I fractured my ankle.
