My girlfriend and I both have had sleeping problems for as long as I can remember. She is on some kind of prescription pill and tosses and turns all night. This tossing and turning keeps me awake because I am a light sleeper. Are there any otc sleep aids that can put me into a deeper sleep? I have no problems falling asleep, just staying asleep. Also, are there any that I should stay away from? I read that Calms Forte can give some trippy halucinations, so those are things I would prefer to stay away from. I also would prefer to not use herbal teas or supplements. Suggestions and why?

I’m a light sleeper/trouble sleeper.
It takes me a really long time to fall asleep and it’s really annoying.
Taking warm milk with a banana doesn’t work for me.
So I’m thinking of taking some sleep aid.
Which one is safer and more effective sleep aid?
a) doxylamine succinate
b) diphenhydramine HCI
And what are some possible side effects of each?

I live next to a freeway and can’t get any sleep at night. I was wondering if anyone knew of any powerful over the counter sleeping pills or liquids. I need something that’ll put me into a deep sleep because i’m a very light sleeper and it’s impossible for me to get any sleep because of the freeway.

I’m about to adopt a cat, and I’m trying to decide whether to let it sleep with me. I’m a light sleeper, so I’m thinking I won’t let it sleep with me. If I don’t let my cat sleep with me, will he develop behavioral problems and get destructive? If any of you don’t let your cat sleep with you, please share any tips on how you get your cat to use his/her cat bed. Thanks!

I wouldn’t call myself an imsoniac but I’m a light sleeper and have a sleep disorder.
Are there any kinds of herbal tea or herbs that will lead me to heavy sleep?
I heard a lavender is good but I want to try something else.
Could you refer me any herbal tea that will be helpful for my light sleeping?

I’m a fairly light sleeper. While I’m home alone I don’t have any problems whatsoever, however usually my mother is home at night as well. She gets up much earlier than I do for her job and it wakes me up every night, interrupting my REM cycle. It never fails, no matter how tired I am or how late I’ve stayed up, the noise she makes while she’s getting ready wakes me up around 6 AM
I’ve asked her before to try to be quieter in the mornings but she just doesn’t seem to be able to or she’s just ignoring my request. There are even mornings when she will stand outside my bedroom door and talk on her cellphone. It drives me crazy. I can usually fall asleep once she leaves but I rarely ever wake up feeling rested. Is there anyway I can train myself to sleep through her morning routine? I’ve tried sleeping pills on occassion and while they usually do work, I’d rather not use them. I need to get a full nights rest but I just can’t afford an apartment yet.

My son is only 12 weeks old, but lately his sleeping habits at night have changed. He used to sleep for 3-4 hours at a time and then I would feed him when he woke up. Last night and the night before he woke up every 1-2 hours and wouldn’t eat, but he was crying for a few minutes until I put him back to sleep. I do the same routine every night, bath, feed and then bed. He sleeps in his bassinet beside the bed at first and then when he wakes up I put him in with me and breastfeed and fall asleep together (he is light sleeper and wakes when moved) . He does sleep in his bassinet for the majority of the night..or he did anyway.I planned on doing this until he started sleeping through the night. He did sleep through the night once two weeks ago and hasnt since. Is there any way I can stop this from becoming a habit? Pleas don’t say let him cry, because I really can’t do that. Oh and he doesn’t sleep much during the day.
Sorry for the overload of info..
Thanks for reading!
