What would happen if you had 300-400 mg of caffeine all day, but drink maybe Hops tea or Lavender tea to relax you to sleep? Will it work, or is the caffeine too strong?
I want to make a homemade tea for insomnia. I know that valerian, lavender, and kavakava, are all good herbs to aid in sleep. Is there a recipe out there that combines these with other things together that tastes well?

I’m 14 and a girl and can’t sleep, even when I’m tired it takes me hours to fall asleep and in result I’m tired often and look pale and sick.. I mean I sleep well it just takes so long to fall asleep.. I hear lavender works, but is there any food or something natural you can do to fall asleep quicker. My mom said no to sleeping pills so that’s out.
I have to get up at around 5:45am every morning.
And I can never get to sleep until around 11 or 12.
I’m definitely not getting enough sleep, and it’s not helping much with school. Is there any way I can get better sleep?
I have to sleep with a light in the back of my room and the tv on.
If I don’t then I don’t feel safe. :p
I also use this lavender stuff, but that doesn’t help that much.

I have very un-restful sleep and repeatedly wake up during the night (especially at about 3 or 4 am)and lie awake for ages before i can drift into un-restful sleep again. I’m always really tired during the day because of it but am never tired when i go to bed (frustrating!)
Any tips on getting better sleep ?

Okay, I have had insomnia for the past 5 years, and it’s getting unmanagable. I am not a candidate for medication, because I have medical problems that would make it a dangerous situation. Basically, I could take the right amount and overdose, or I’d sleep for 16 hours straight (this has happened.) And, on the rare occasion I do fall asleep without ‘passing out’ from exhaustion, I have these horrible nightmares that make me: wake up, talk, or kick my boyfriend in the groin.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I have tried: exercise (worked for a few months, then made no difference), teas, music, removing the electronics from my bedroom, meditation, sex, St Johns Wort (made me sick), lavender sprays on pillows, eating a small turkey sandwich at night, and things I can’t even recall.
