Get Better Sleep And Find Natural Remedies To Cure Insomnia
If I’m hunting deer, and I come across a black bear (I have a tag) will the game king and scirocco penetrate enough to get the job done?
If one has less severe bipolar disorder, with no trouble with the law and no history of violence but is taking medication to function better in life does that automatically disqualify one from a job in the FBI, CIA, or other similar government positions?
Insight from those inside the process is needed, thanks. Fortunately, I have the necessary skill-set to do analysis and desk-work.
Sometimes I have nights where I can’t fall asleep and I end up sleeping for 3 hours or none at all. This would sometimes last 3 days to 3 weeks. Other nights I can fall asleep but I end up waking up too early. I don’t really feel depressed tho (which I heard can cause insomnia) and everything in my life is good. How can I cure this? I don’t like taking sleeping pills and anyways they don’t work whether OTC or Rx. Can someone help me? Thanks.
Oh, and I don’t drink coffee and I exercise in the morning only.
I’m 32 years old and about to graduate school. I exercise every other day at the gym (eliptical machine for 45 mins and 20 min. weights) and the other days I walk my dog. Also, I’m going through some changes where I’m trying to get an internship at some top-notch companies so that’s been on my mind alot along with trying to find a job because I have financial struggles. But other than those things, I’m pretty ok. I’m wondering if these are what’s causing my insomnia. I noticed others still are able to sleep even though they have more stresses than what I have in my life.
I’m a busy Mom and have a job (about 30 hours a week), so I don’t have a ton of time to myself. I have gained a few extra lbs in the last couple months, and really want to take it off. I was wondering though, in regards to exercising, is it better to exercise, or sleep? I’ve always managed to work in some exercise in my busy schedule, but I want to do more, and the only way I can really do that is by getting up earlier. So what is better for your body?
I’ve been dealing with non stop hives for about 7 months now and I’ve found no relief. I’ve been to my doctor several times and all he seems to want to do is try different antihistamines and none of them seem to work. I’ve typed up all of my symptoms such as excessive hair loss, intolerance to cold, insomnia, uncontrollable Weight gain, shortness of breath etc. but he won’t test for anything, he always sends me away with a prescription for allergy medicine. Should I try a different doctor? Does anyone know what this may be? What can I do to get relief? The hives that I get sometimes get bad enough that I can’t walk let alone work, and I am at risk of loosing my job because of it. Is there anything I can do for an alternative income if this does cost me my job? As you can see I have several questions and I would be very grateful if anyone could answer any of them at all. Thanks so much.
Christina
Because of the job I had, i’ve been going to bed around 10am and getting up around 6-8PM. I’m not working there anymore, but my sleeping still sucks, how do I get back on a normal sleeping schedule? I’d like to go to bed around 10pm and get up around 7am.
the answer is ofcourse yes, but how much is my question.
i get around 4 to 5 hours of sleep everynight. and sometimes even the 4 to5 hours isnt of DEEP rem sleep but just sleep.
so my question is more towards the brain. can not getting a full 8 hours speed up diseases like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s or other brain problems?
soon i will change this habbit, though. (soon as i get a job) lol.

Ive been reading a few different websites and studies concerning Sleep cycles, now im not talking about rem sleep and definitive bio talk about sleep but simple ratios.
Lets take me as an example
I sleep roughly about 7-9 hours
And I have about 15 hours that I’m active ( from the moment I open my eyes in the morning till i close em at night)
I’m really looking to decrease my hours spent sleeping (goal= about 6hrs sleep), but at the same time max out at a humane level the hours I can be effectively active ( goal = 15/16 hours). First question, is this goal I have healthy, second how should i approach getting this goal if its healthy or whats the closest ratio of hours asleep Vs awake/active
the reason, was not for a job, or school ( in college)
but i find that all my friends seem to have more time than me to do what they want. One thing that really does get to me is i work my ass off for the grades i get, they work half as much and still do the same as me, and they get to enjoy the other half of the free time they have.
My girlfriend likes to take two to three 10 mg tablets to "just relax" she dosen’t sleep, just zones in front of the TV. She is stressed out a lot from her job, etc.
I’ve struggled with sleep for almost 10 years and I’m almost 19. I took blood pressure medicine (which had the side effect of drowsiness) from when I was 9 to 13. Obviously, I didn’t have high blood pressure, but the medicine made me sleepy, at first anyway. I started to fight it after a while and it eventually barely effected me. I just recently graduated from high school and when I knew I had to get up early every morning, I would go to sleep between 12 and 2 every night. Not sure if that’s average for teenagers or not. Now, I’m taking a semester off, but I go to college in the spring. I don’t have a "real" job, so I am always staying up late. I usually go to sleep between 2 and 5, but I’ve also been known to stay awake the whole night without a minute of sleep and try to function the next day. I’m not interested in taking medicine again. I just want someone to talk me through my problems so I can figure out why I do this. Sometimes, I don’t go to sleep because I simply don’t get sleepy. But most of the time, it’s because I fight it off. I’m convinced it’s a mental problem and can be resolved without medication.
So, do I go to a therapist, psychiatrist, or physcologist?
I use to drink several pots of coffee daily, now I am down to a 12oz cup in the morning and a 12 oz in the afternoon. The problem I have is my job require me to get up very early sometime as early a 2:30 am. On my days off I want to sleep in but wake up between 4-5 am with a splitting headache that lasts all day. I am tired of fighting headaches on my days off and want to kick the caffeine habit altogether but the headaches are preventing me from stopping cold turkey.
Does anyone have any suggestion or have faced the same thing in the past?
sleeping pills don’t seem to work anymore, i can’t smoke pot because of drug testing at my job. i tried drinking Melatonin Tea which has no effect.. any ideas on what else i can try?
I must apply for a security clearance to get access to classfied information at my job. I work in the defense industry. Will my clearance get rejected because I am getting treated for bipolar disorder? The level of clearance I am getting is top secret/SSBI?
