My prescriptions are currently covered under CVS caremark insurance. I have gotten many different prescriptions, including ones for generic adderall and generic ambien, and never had a problem. However, I know that Lunesta does not come in a generic form. Will I be able to afford it?

Unfortunatly my insurance is crap and won’t cover it and I can not afford to pay 0-0 for one. Does anybody know of a sleep study center here in San Antonio that works off of a sliding scale fee or will work with me as far as a payment plan is concerned??

Hello,
I was just diagnosed with sleep apnea after 2 sleep studies. The 2nd night I used a nasal cpap thing. So I go tomorrow to buy a machine and mask and start with the treatment.
My insurance usually pays 70% for most things, and I’m not sure if they are with this (they’re paying something, just not sure how much). When I talked to the place I’ll be buying from, they said my portion after insurance will be 3. So if they are paying 70% (again I don’t know, maybe it’s different with this) that would mean I’m getting almost ,500 worth of equipment.
But from looking online at cpap machines, they tend to run even on the high end for about -900 at the most that I saw. And the masks were only at most 0 (that I saw). So is there something I’m missing? This seems ridiculously expensive.
Either way, does anyone have a good recommendation for the best machine and nasal "pillow" type mask? If money wasn’t an obstacle, what would be the "best"? I’m new to this, so thank you!

While in the army I was on ambien for sleep problems, when I got out about a year ago I tried to claim it through the VA. They denied the claim, and I tried fighting it because I was still having problems. Nothing happened, I have insurance now, and I’ve been to civilian Drs about it. Ppl are telling me I need to tell the VA and all this stuff, but I’m wondering what they would do, or what exactly I’m supposed to do? Its all over my military medical records, which I still have, but they claim it doesnt affect my ability to work or anything. So is their a reason I should contact the VA? What would I tell them?
When I went to the VA they did their evaluations for my claim, I never got a VA card, I had a couple more appointments after that. When it was denied it just said something like it doesnt affect my ability to work and stuff like that, and gave me instructions on how to fight it, so I did that, which resulted in the thing.
So to better state my question, would contacting the VA benefit me in anyway, and what should I do about it if anything?

I don’t have any money and am having trouble sleeping. I did try to go see a doctor but he wanted to to make an apointment and start a big file on me and have a big exam…I don’t have that kind of money, nor do I have insurance. All the "free" clinics I go to won’t do prescriptions. I also need some pills for high cholesterol. What is wrong here? Why can’t I get medicine in America without paying my entire paycheck over to a guy to write a prescription?

My husband has always snored even when we were dating but since we got married he has put on some weight well a lot of weight and now his snoring sounds like a bear. It is really, really, really. really loud and when we first got married it started bothering me so I would take Tylenol PM so I can sleep or try to get to sleep before him so I can have a good night sleep but now I am pregnant and really tired and his snoring is stopping me from sleeping I will get to sleep before him and wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom then I can’t fall back asleep so I will go to the couch. Then as soon as I am really sleep he gets up in the middle of the night and begs me to go back to bed because he wants to sleep with me and the baby if I don’t hurry to sleep first there goes the snoring. Then when I move to the couch he wakes up like I hurt his feelings and mopes around in the morning. He tells me he can’t do anything about it and he’s sorry but does not want me to sleep on the couch with the baby. He can’t sleep on the couch because it hurts his back. What do I do I am feeling delirious from no rest or I deal with his stinking attitude. I asked him to go to the gym and he always makes excuses so I just stopped asking him because it was making me angry his response is that he is tired from work and the business we run The doctor told him to go to a sleep center but our insurance does not cover the entire bill. I feel he can make it to the gym but he tells me he is not ready to go yet {whatever that means}. Should I continue to sleep on the couch or try to sleep with him to avoid hurting his feelings? Oh I also tired the breath right strips and they fall off in the night and don’t really work that well. I don’t know what to do.

I’ve been interested in the cost of narcolepsy medication, and just treatment of narcolepsy in general. I’m pretty clueless as to how someone could get medication for the condition. Is it purely prescription based? How much are prescriptions costing you? Do free-clinics give out prescriptions or do you have to pay for medical insurance to go see a doctor for diagnosis and prescription? Are there any over-the-counter drugs available for narcolepsy?
I’m interested because I’m doing a study for a short documentary on narcolepsy.

I am a 21 year old female and I have been having some weird symptoms that I’m not sure what is causing it!
Well to start off I have had chronic nausea since 2005 (almost a year after my 1st son was born, possible hernia?) I usually feel sick later in the day. The last 2 weeks I have been dealing with horrible stomach cramps (like I need to go to the bathroom, #2) and I usually try and go and sit there and suffer until I can’t take it anymore, I end up taking gas pills and some anti-diarrhea medicine. I know this isn’t good but I just can’t take it anymore! I usually am fine for 2 days or so then here comes the cramps and the softer stools again! I usually try to let my body get whatever out so I can have relief but nearly an hour later, once again I’m fed up and end up taking gas pills and anti-diarrhea.
What could be causing this? I currently have tricare insurance and I’m attempting to get in to see my GP and get a referral to see a specialist or something. I can’t take much more of this! Its making me severely depressed!
I also want to add that my doctor has me on zoloft 300 mg a day and cymbalta for my anxiety and depression and I can’t be taking off of this medicine as of right now. I also am dealing with severe fatigue and insomnia
PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME! I don’t know where else to turn and I NEED advice!! =(

I probably can’t go to the ER because it isn’t life threatening. Some clinics around here do not accept Medi-Cal insurance. Others do not have the somnologists or physicians specializing in sleep disorders/insomnia.
