About two weeks ago, I began having heavy problems with sleeping. It has dropped from the usual 6-7 hours first to 5, and now I barely even manage to get 3 hours! Last night I first felt asleep for 1 hour, then I woke up in the middle of the night, I felt like my brain won’t let me sleep, and I felt nervous, so I tossed and turned for about 2 hours in order to get another 2 hours of sleep. I feel extremely bad, I am sweating a lot, I feel like my balance is a bit messed up, and sometimes have mild muscle contractions. It all came out of the blue, for no reason at all. I wasn’t under any stress

Is this sFI possibly? Or just a normal insomnia? I am 20 years old, and I heard there were some cases of this in their 20s.

Sleep Disorder- What is happening to me?

When I try to sleep- I feel like I am drunk (I don’t do drugs or alcohol). I am also suffering from Insomnia but when I sleep I feel like I am heavily drunk and 8-9 hours of sleep pass like 1 second.

I told my mommy about it and she just laughed and said it must be the food.
Should I go to the doctor?

Is my mommy putting something in my food to heal my Insomnia?

8-9 hours of sleep feels like 1 second whenever I go to sleep.

It’s 4:15 now I have to get up by 7:30. When I only sleep a couple hours I feel like crap in the morning but when I pull an all nighter I don’t feel as bad. Though I am tired now. So, what’s better? couple hours of sleep or none?

What to do about insomnia please please help me!?

I am at my wits end! I need to know how to get to sleep! I am planning on going to the doctor on Monday but I am in tears I am so irritated! For the past few months I haven’t been getting to sleep until at least 3 in the morning sometimes later than that and my daughter wakes me up for the day at 8 am. My partner started a new job and I have to get up at 6 am to take her (so I get maybe 2 hours of sleep before driving 30 mins to take her to work. By time we get home around 7 am I only get like 1-2 more hours of sleep. Sometimes I nap with my daughter but a one hour nap just makes me more tired so I try not to nap during the day in hopes that I will be tired early and actually get sleep. I have been nauseous all day and only eating maybe one small meal a day due to that (i think I may be pregnant) so I think the stress of not knowing if I am pregnant, not eating well, and getting pretty much no sleep.

Is there any way I can get to sleep earlier? I am waiting to go to the doc until monday because I will hopefully find out if I am preggo on Saturday and I don’t wanna get any meds to help if I am pregnant. I am so exhausted, please help me!

Im a 15 year old male and for a period of about of month my sleep patterns were screwed up due to anxiety and thinking. For some of the days I was laying in my bed with my eyes closed but I couldn’t fall asleep at all and I was aware. Other days I may have gotten only a few hours of sleep. Since then I’ve been doing better and I’ve been getting a full night’s sleep every day but now I keep worrying if the lack of sleep I went through may have permanantly affected my brain.

How long does sleep deprivation last?

I have slurred speech, stuttering, and monotone voice…I’m 16 years old and I get approximately 5 hours of sleep during the week days. If I start getting normal amount of sleep, how long will it take to get out of sleep deprivation and have my stuttering, slurred speech, etc. gone?

Well I was on WebMD.com because I had been feeling depressed (Another story) and it said that one may have insomnia if having depression. So I looked in insomnia and it looked like a small list of symptons, all that I have had for at least 6 months. Can you give me a list of symptoms? Here is the list I got:
Trouble falling asleep (Well that’s obvious)
Waking up during the night, unable or hard to go back to sleep (Check)
Wake up too early (This one doesn’t happen often but it happens)
Feel tired when I wake up, like not enough sleep (I often get around 8-10 hours of sleep)
Feeling grouchy, sleepy, and/or anxious. (Check)

Are there more symptoms? Could you list them for me? Thank you :)

I got 12 hours of sleep last night and my eyes are really red and irritated right now. I could barely get my contacts in. Can too much sleep make your eyes red?
