I don’t know much about reflexology, just that certain places on the hands and feet correspond to various other parts of the body and its organs. But does reflexology offer anything in the way of help for better sleep? I’ve had chronic insomnia following a traumatic event a decade ago. It’s hard for me to fall asleep, stay asleep, or sleep deeply, and my health has really suffered as a result. No pharmaceuticals (I’ve tried them ALL), herbal remedies or "sleep hygiene" tips I’ve been given over the years has done a bit of good. I’m planning to try hynpnotherapy, EMDR and Alpha-Stim soon with a new, very experienced therapist, but was also curious about reflexology.

My mama claims she used it on my brother and I when we were babies to help with all sorts of things. I mentioned to her that my son who is 5 1/2 months is teething really bad and just will not sleep recently. She suggested the tea, I’m however a little leery of herbal remedies so I wanted to see what everyone elses take on it was. Thanks!

I always wake up in the morning more tired than i was when I went to bed. I have tried sleeping more, sleeping less, taking over the counter remedies, herbal remedies and teas (those seem to ork a little bit, but not much) and cutting out caffiene from my diet. What else can I do? PLEASE help me!
I just got a new mattress, but every one I’ve tried is either too firm or too soft. ((I’m know, I’m far too picky xD))
I take benadryll (SP?) and it makes me even groggier in the morning than I am usually.

I am averse to using any prescription drugs, over the counter drugs, and I think it’s about time I stopped smoking weed to get myself to sleep. Does anyone know of any herbal remedies, old wives tales, or alternative medicines that will help me get to sleep before 4am?
many thanks in advance

I graduated college over a year ago. Since then I have started my own company and moved to NYC. I need to be in the office by 9 every morning, which means I need to get up at 6:30. The problem is I absolutely can not fall asleep before 2. If I go to bed at 12 I will lay in bed for 2 hours, no matter how much sleep I got the night before.
Sleeping pills help but when I wake up I feel extremely tired like I didn’t sleep well. I have tried herbal remedies, teas, etc. I even didn’t sleep one night and ended up going to bed at 1 the next night, so that didn’t really help.
Any ideas?

I have a horrible tendency to lay there and daydream, and get lost in my daydreams and not get to sleep. On top of that, I have problems falling asleep as it is.
Any non-addicting sleep medications?
herbal remedies?
types of food?
Any tricks or things I can try, things I can do?
Thanx!!!

I have not had a decent nights sleep in months. I have tried various techniques and books, hypnosis tapes, herbal remedies and have even got pills from my doctor, but nothing seems to work. Has anyone found anything that works for them? Your help would be much appreciated.

Are there any fellow insomniacs out there that have had any luck with methods other than medicine or herbal remedies? My insomnia makes me a zombie all day and I do not want to be dependent on pills to get enough sleep. I am constantly tired! Any tricks you would like to share?

I have been suffering from migraines and insomnia for aprrox 3 months. My doctor says they are probably related to each other. He has given me serval types of pain pills, and sleeping pills. Which work. But make me sleepy, and sluggish the next day. I work as a registered nurse so I know about the prescription medications. But of course we were never taught about Herbal remedies. Does any one have any that really work. I am having a real hard time with this because I have a demanding job and a family to take care of. And I feel completely worn out. My doctor does have me set up with specialist. But my appointments are not for some time.
I don’t do illegal drugs.

I’ve been suffering from insomnia during pregnancy for a couple months now and I want to know what the easiest way to cure insomnia during pregnancy is. I’ve taken those herbal remedies like Sleep-MD and they don’t seem to be much of a cure for insomnia. So what are my best options for curing insomnia during pregnancy?
