How do I conquer premenopause symptoms?

I believe I am experiencing premenopause symptoms. I have scheduled an appointment with my gynecologist. But I wanted to see what other women were doing to combat these dreadful symptoms I that have begun to experience such as headaches, insomnia, tiredness, hot flashes, mood swings, and a decreased sex drive. Please help!

I’ve suffered from tinnitus for more than ten years now, but in the last few years symptoms have really started to take a turn for the worse and now the condition has become quite painful physically. I experience constant earaches, headaches, soreness/tingling, and occasional vertigo (though no insomnia). Anyone know of any alternative remedies (e.g. acupuncture, herbal medicines, etc.,) that may help?

Now when I take it I get really bad headaches and I still can’t go to sleep. Why is this happening and should I ask my doctor for a prescription sleep aid? He suggested that I take melatonin. Btw I am 16 if that helps.

I have been off caffeine for a week and am still having headaches.

I wake up almost every day from unbelievable pain in my nose. I use CPAP for my breathing. I have tried nose saline sprays, Ahr (spell?). The pain usually stays with me most of the day. For awhile I have been having headaches also.
Thank you for your answers everyone. I am going to probably do all the suggestions. :)

My friend has been very tired, having headaches, trouble concentrating and seems to get irritated easier. Unfortunately these are symptoms of both depression and sleep deprivation.

I’ve noticed that Caffeine is used in most headache medicines. Is this any way to help headaches that are caused by many peoples addiction to caffeine when they don’t consume it as the normally do?

Part of the reason of my headaches is probably because I don’t wear my contacts all the time. But even when I do wear them, I get lots of headaches. Usually in the afternoons. Also when I was at school, it would be at the end of school. When I got home and went onto the computer and got something to eat, they would subdue. What else could be causing it?

Also, I have insomnia /a lot/ I won’t be able to go to sleep until 2, 3 am when I get into bed at around 11. I sometimes will take melatonin to help, but it doesn’t always work.

Lastly, my hands sometimes really hurt around the wrists. It’s sorta like a cramp, but feels like a sprain or I’ve worked it too hard. Isn’t that the symptoms of carpal tunnel? I am on the computer a lot, and I type really fast, and well, but I am in the proper ‘home key’ position. My posture isn’t always ‘Back Straightt, legs flat on the floor, etc etc’ Could that have anything to do with it?

-Like i’ve said before, I am on the computer way too much. This I know :c but the computer often helps me relax…Posting this it is probably obvious that part of the reason is I need to limit myself to my computer time…but what else?

-These three things together, is my health really bad? Eating right is not an issue, and I do exercise.

Can anyone please help me! Tell me information of why I might be having these issues. If it’s the computer thing, can you tell me why and what I can do to stop, and what I should be doing instead?

Thank you very much.

Note- I am 14

I’m a 21 yr old female, active and experiencing strange symptoms. I’m tired all the time and experiencing excessive thirst. I don’t like juice or sodas so I stick to water. Experiencing frequent urination, headaches, blurry vision at times and did I mention fatigue….I’m constantly tired. My stomach seems to be distended and I’m not sure what it could be. Any ideas?

I should go to the doctor (and I will do if it gets worse, 16 years old by the way)

I’m having difficulty sleeping. I can lie awake for hours and hours without falling asleep. I feel really tired, but I’m finding it difficult to nod off.

Also, I’m not feeling hungry. I’m just eating because I "have to", and I feel like I’m forcing it down.

And I have been getting headaches which are quite painful.

It’s been going on for a couple of months now and I don’t know what’s wrong. Any suggestions?

I have not seen the Dr. since. But I have then and I have been mistaken headaches for sinus pressure which is right between the eyes down the jaw at times. I always have congestion everyday and it sucks and I cant smell as great and with the sinus pressure I have foggy thinking plus drowsiness. I have used phsuedephedrine and saline wash, works but not satisfying.

Any tips on how to reduce my caffeine intake?

I usually have 2-3 cups of coffee in the morning and a large glass of ice-tea in the afternoon. My doctor advised me to reduce my caffeine intake. I have been making 1/2 decaf and 1/2 regular coffee (mix) but I’m getting headaches.
Any tips on how to reduce my caffeine intake?
What is a good cold drink to replace my afternoon ice-tea?

Any tips will be greatly appreciated.

I am on day two of keeping caffeine out of my diet, and I haven’t had any caffeine since Sunday at 9:30, I have been through the headaches and vomiting and all that pretty much is over now just feel tired with a mild headache. My question is once the caffeine is out of my system will I still feel tired or will my body naturally adjust to not having it anymore. For example, will I feel as alert and awake as someone who has caffeine regularly?

I’ve been what i guess you could say a "heavy" marijuana user for about 13 and a half months. I quit and am now 48 days sober. The reason I chose to quit was because I actually had what I believe my first panic attack on weed on new years. I was totally paranoid, time felt so slow, and that I would never come down. That scared me and caused me to not smoke any for about two weeks and when I did smoke my last j, it didn’t give me the usual happy feeling I had on weed and instead sort of gave me a depressed feeling. I thought it was because I was concerned about my cat who is suffering from diabetes but I decided to call it quits. Like many others, had no idea there was such a thing as withdrawal from marijuana. So you can well imagine that about 2 days after quitting the symptoms hit me like a train and scared the living hell out of me. I experienced my first ever panic attack 3 days after going cold turkey. I kept thinking something was wrong with me and I was for sure about to die. I thought I may have smoked something that was bad and gave me brain damage and such. I wasn’t myself that week which was bad ’cause it was the first week of the new semester for college. Three days later I convinced myself that nothing was wrong and I felt a big relief and thought I was back to normal. However the next morning as I got up to go to work I looked in the mirror and suddenly the depression hit me again. I didn’t feel the same person, nothing felt real. I felt totally disconnected with reality. I didn’t know that that first week of withdrawal is the most intense and it wasn’t until the second week of quitting that I finally found out that it’s actually been withdrawal I’ve been going through. The physical symptoms for the most part are gone, no more insomnia, appetite loss, headaches etc. I still have dreams that haven’t stopped since the second week but they have been getting milder and milder since then. What I’ve noticed though is that everytime once sympom stops, another seems to come. Like the first two weeks I was mainly facing the physical symptoms, then they’re gone. After that it became more psychological, the depression and anxiety started coming in waves now and suddenly I’ve started having pain all throughout my body which was a result of that anxiety. I kept feeling pain in my arms and chest and such and I was fearing for a heart attack (I’m a little on the heavy side). It turns out that the anxiety was the cause of these nerve pains and they are now gone for the most part. But now the last few days I have been suffering from derealization and depersonalization. At least that’s what I think it is. A lot of times things just feel surreal and nothing feels the same anymore. I find that this marijuana crap is always on my mind. Not in an addictive way, I just wake up wondering if the symptoms are gone or why did I ever do it in the first place. I’ll be out with friends or home having a good time but then the thoughts come back to me that something doesn’t feel right and I feel sad again. I also don’t have that full "thrill" in life I used to have before smoking my last J but I notice I am getting my emotions back little by little. I’m just wondering if anyone out there has experienced anything like this? It feels like it’s getting better than worse than getting better then worse. I have doubts of my identity and purpose in life and just want to be in control again. I want to be free from these thoughts. I keep telling myself that with time I’m sure it will get better but these thoughts and emotions just seem to get the best of me. I don’t need antidepressants, I don’t need a psyciatrist. I know I can get through this I’m just tired of being confused. I want answers and am ready to get rid of this once and for all. All answers are greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot and god bless
sorry it was supposed to say, I also don’t have that full "thrill" in life I used to have EVEN before smoking my last J
