I don’t usually sleep a lot especially on holidays, I presume it’s bad but I like staying awake at night… But anyways, what are the ideal hours to sleep to avoid having headaches the next day or feeling sleepy? And I also have trouble sleeping because my skin has always been itchy, what can I do about it? How can I have that good sleep that makes us feel good?

Ambien is starting to not work for me, does anyone have any suggestions for a good sleep medicine?
besides lunesta because my insurance won’t pay for it. Is there a good old one that works like ambien used to work for me?

I need some advice on a family problem.?




So my family and I have always had trouble getting along. For whatever reason, I just don’t fit in here. We’ve fought for as long as I can remember– it probably has something to do with the insomnia I was born with; the lack of sleep makes me very iritable–, but I recently started smoking marijuana for relief from the insomnia. Now I don’t want any replies saying things like "you smoked pot, you f*cked up your life" because I’ve done all the research and marijuana is the safest and most effected treatment for insomnia, as I’ve tried everything in the book. At any rate, while I was getting good sleep from smoking, (by the way, I use a vaporizer) I was able to hold back a lot of my hatred. My friend got caught by his parents a few weeks ago, and his parents told my parents that I do too and they lost it. At anyrate, things are unbearable at my house, and I’m trying to find a way to move out. My friends mom (whom I’m very good friends with), offered to let me move in. My parents are fine with me moving out, but they refuse to let me do so as long as they are still responsible for me. They’re afraid of the police showing up at their house with me in the back of the cruiser when I don’t even live their. I would like to emancipate myself but I’m 15 and don’t have a job, so it would take a while to do that. What would you recommend I do?

I have not had a single night of good sleep since I got back here in the Philippines. At first I thought it was still the time difference from the UK. Then two weeks go by and I’m convinced it’s something else.
I don’t feel like taking any medication but everything else I try does not have any effect.
I’ve tried the following…
1. Something hot to drink
2. Something cold to drink
3. Having a snack before going to bed.
4. Smoking four consecutive cigarettes (that is with only one match stick)
5. Talking a stroll before going to bed (usually around the hotel).
6. Reading
7. Turning the airconditioning up
8. Turning the airconditioning off
9. A hot bath before going to bed
10. Watching Al Pacino’s "Scarface" untill my eyelids get heavy
11. Sleeping on the couch
12. Three shots of Jose Cuervo before going to bed
13. Counting dogs jumping over a fence (sheeps to me seems kinda gay)
14. Talking about BS with the hotel bartender and concierge hoping I get sleepy afterwards.
None of these work for me.

Any suggestions, people?

Please help me… I’m like the living dead right now.

Better sleep in the day, AFTER exercising?




I have been having a lot of trouble getting good sleep lately and having been making up more tired than ever even after getting at least 8 hours of sleep. However today, i ran with my friend at 6:30am, came home and showered then got the best sleep ive gotten in months in only 2 hours and woke up refreshed and ready to go. Why is this? What can I do to get better sleep like this all the time, preferebly in the night time at regular sleep hours??

Is melatonin a safe natural sleep aid?




I have trouble sleeping at night and was told that melatonin was a good sleep aid. But to only take the 3mg doses. I saw some 200mg doses in the store the other day and was wondering if higher doses are addictive.

How do you get a better sleep?




When I go to bed, usually around 10:30, I have to wake up at aprx. 7:30, and feel like I’m more tired than when I went to bed. Is there a way that allows you to get a good sleep other than a medicine?

What are some good Sleep aids?




Anyone know of a good sleep aid either otc or alternative that will help one go to sleep without feeling drugged? Something that actually works?

I take 1/4 of a 0.5mg klonopin tablet at bed time. It works fair at higher doses but the side effects are undesirable.

My dad says that i dont get good sleep when i leave the TV on but i am actually more entergetic and i dont get as tired as i do when he makes me turn off the TV. He says that without the TV and the flashing lights that i will do better in school but i actually failed a test after sleeping a night without the TV. Soooo….whats the deal…

im a 14 yr old girl and i can never sleep that well, i never get a really good sleep sometimes i cant sleep at all. i just have problems sleeping.

Any ways to get better sleep?




I usually get good sleep 3 out of 7 days of the week. Sometimes less. I was wondering if there are any methods to sleeping better so that I can have more energy throughout the day and be less tired. I don’t go to sleep late though. I usually go to bed at 10pm and have to wake up at 6:45am.
