How can I sleep better throughout the night?

I always wake up throughout the night,,,ALWAYS!! And it shows on my face because I have under eye puffiness. Any tips on how I can get some good sleep…..and not toss and turn all night? Thnaks for the tips……

I haven’t slept in 35 hours purely from insomnia and my job that forces me to stay awake.
Getting ready for hopefully a nice 10 hour sleep tonight.
Will all the effects I am feeling right now from deprivation stop after I get a good sleep?

What is a good age to begin scheduled naps?

My son is currently 4 1/2 months old. I don’t have a nap schedule now because he is at the baby sitters during the week days and she just lets him fall asleep when ever he wants. He does have good sleep schedule for night time but when is a good time to begin schedule daytime naps?

How to sleep better at night?

I can’t get a real good sleep cause my bed isn’t comfortable and I don’t got enough money for a new bed so any tips to help me sleep better

Background: I used to have generally poor sleep. Recently due to improvements in diet / exercise, I’ve become able to get to sleep much faster and feel much more refreshed in the morning.

However one issue I still have is that I seem to ‘wake up’ and can’t really fall back asleep very easily. If I got to bed at say 11PM, usually around 5AM or so I will become conscious. However I’m not completely awake and ready to go, I am just conscious with my eyes closed and definitely want to stay in bed as I am still somewhat tired.

Last night I tried using a Zeo sleep coach and the device registered that this period of consciousness while I was still in bed was REM sleep. However during this time I do remember waking up and debating whether or not to get out of bed, so I’m pretty sure it isn’t that I’m lucid dreaming or otherwise actually still asleep (although I certainly can’t preclude the possibility of microsleep within the time.) The Zeo is limited in its ability to distinguish between very relaxed waking periods and REM sleep so I guess this is not too surprising.

The question is – is this type of time that I am in bed, relatively conscious but still in a relaxed state, effectively the same as getting good sleep? I’d like to know from the perspective of mental and physical / athletic recovery. Also I try to eat protein first thing in the morning to improve metabolism – would this effect be stronger if I ate protein as soon as I become conscious? If this is not really good sleep but basically just lying in bed, should I try to just get up and perhaps take a nap later in the day?

when he is home these last few days i have a very hard time sleeping but almost as soon as he goes to work im sleeping and its a good sleep
im a very heavy sleeper normaly and most of the time i dont even feel him get out of bed in the morning he doesnt make noise in his sleep and he stays pretty much still i dont understand it i mean i have been upset these last few days

How can I sleep better at a friends house?




Sometimes my friend and I have sleep overs. I don’t know what happens but when it’s time to go to bed, I always get nervous or scared. I am up all night doing nothing while my friend sleeps. In the morning, I’m tired and she nags me that I’m lazy. She isn’t tired because she got a good sleep. Sometimes, I go home. But I feel like crap after, because we has stuff planed for the next day. So, here’s my question: how can I get to sleep better at a friends house when we sleepover? Thanks everyone!

Does anybody know a reliable cure for snoring?




Firstly, I am curious if anybody has any first hand experience with Snore Relief by Breathe Right, as that is my current direction, having just tried the Breathe Right strips with little success.

Secondly, are there any other "cures"? remedies? solutions?

Thirdly, what causes an increase in snoring? Illness? Stress? Decrease in good sleep? Or is it just because?
I love the pillow over face approach!!

Well I hear so much that a better diet, more greens and less sweets, along with good sleep will really improve my complexion and skin(less acne, fading of scars). Well I actually want to know if that is true and how long results would take if I did that along with some good fitness as well?

Ambien is starting to not work for me, does anyone have any suggestions for a good sleep medicine?

SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP problems bugging me????!?




I have occasional sleeplessness/insomnia type episodes. I had it again this week. I stress over sleep when I have school, because I can’t sleep in and have to get up so early, it doesn’t allow time to get a good sleep. I’m not going to bed early. I’m never ever tired, I usually fall asleep at midnight and wake up at 6 if it’s a school night. This week though, I had my sleep problems, and couldn’t fall asleep until 3 all week long. It was horrible. By Thursday I was dragging, and I fell asleep at a Star Wars concert. OK so this weekend I got sufficient sleep, but I know that’s because it was the weekend and I could sleep in. Which leads me to believe this problem is psychological. I can’t relax knowing I have to get up early. I feel anxious when others are asleep, and I feel the need to keep them up with me. [my family] Now already I am dreading going to sleep tonight, when I know I can, it’s just in my mind. What should I do? Take a sleep pill? How can I relax? Otherwise these thoughts will manifest my head and I won’t sleep again.

What can i do to get a better sleep?




I am thirteen and 5 foot 1 i think and maybe part of the reason im short is becuz i never get a good sleep.I always wake up in the middle of the night(like once or twice) to use the bathroom, and for some strange reason it takes me forever to fall asleep.I want to get rid of the bags under my eyes to, so how do you get a good sleep?
