I have normal dreams sometimes, but 99.99% of the time, my dreams are things that happened in the day, just going differently or continuing as if i never went to sleep. Why is this? I always just end up dreaming what I experienced that day exactly the way it was, or with a few things different.

i have a hard time sleeping. i usually dont go through rem sleep and so i can sleep for ever and feel as crappy as i had before i slept. i know i havent gone through rem sleep because i dont dream and dreaming occurs in rem. anyway, the past week i hae randomly started going through rem sleep finally !! i remember my dreams from every night this week, i feel a little better in the morning than i usually do, BUT my rem has been interrupted each night. my alarm for work goes off well before im done dreaming. as a result it takes me about 5-10 minutes before i can actually open my eyes. what are the side effects of constant intuerrupted rem? what can i do if anything to help this issue? im about ready to go to my doctor and get perscription sleeping pills thats how horrible my sleeping is!!!

The mother of my exboyfriend appeared in my dream. She died 10 years ago and I have never met her. She appeared in my dreams, alive and with her son, who was my ex. Basically, she said that her son’s gf, just left him for another guy and I need to take care of him. I have no communications with my ex anymore, so this dream seems so weird to me.

I also want to know how to dream more often.. When I rarely do dream, I have trouble remembering it. I always memorize a very small part, maybe about a few seconds and bits and pieces of it. My dreams are also not that clear, so how can I make them more vivid?

do dogs have rem sleep?

i have a dog which is madly in love with me and when i say that he loves me i mean that i can can it at 3 or 4 in the morning and it will take up i am wondering with they have dreams and rem cycles because when if there nuclear blast going on no one can wake me up can any one explain why it is this way

Not even in it’s effect on bodybuilding but as a sleep aid. I currently have melatonin from Optimum Nutrition, because it was .50 for 100 capsules. It’s really not that great. I do have more dreams and they are more vivid but it doesn’t kick in when I need it to and it doesn’t really make me tired or sleepy when I take it.

I just asked another question earlier about which states you can get a medical marijuana card for insomnia, so if you know, please let me know

In my research to find more about medical mj and insomnia, I read that people that use mj for insomnia report having fewer dreams…I can verify from experience that this seems true, but i was wondering if people really do have fewer dreams, or if they just cannot recall their dreams.

my experience: I used to smoke regularly (mj and k2) and i would fall asleep quickly, but seemingly not have dreams. I stopped smoking recently and have had alot of trouble sleeping (you can call me addicted but I had trouble before smoking and I know real addictions-this isnt one). Now I take tylenol PM sometimes, but i dont like to. Anyway, I have also noticed an increase in dream recall since stopping…anyway, thats my story and reading about it got thinking so hopefully someone out there can answer this for me

1. Which states allow a medical marijuana card for insomnia?
2. Do people with medical marijuana actually have fewer dreams, or is it because they forget them once they wake up?
I realize you are trolling, but I still dont like the dependence associated with sleeping pills, or the damage they do to my body. I still feel healthy and normal with marijuana

I know indica strains put you on couchlock and thats why I liked sativa for recreation, but medically yes, you are right. Indica is what I would use for my insomnia. now, do you think you didnt dream at all, or did you just forget your dreams? (something very easy to do, and even easier if youve got short term memory loss from MJ haha)

any other medical advice, preferably from a doctor would be greatly appreciated, I find this very interesting

Has anyone else gotten these kinds of dreams when sleeping too much? Usually their followed up with feelings of abandonment and left with too much responsibility.

Any thoughts?
I’m not depressed or pessimistic. I’m not 100% optimistic either, more so I’m realistic, so I consider both positive and negative ideas in order to understand situations in life. Maybe this is about uncontrollable worry?
James – It’s always either durning or right before the world ends. And it’s always about high end military technology like powerful nukes or strange unknown devices we haven’t seen yet unleashed on neigborhoods, etc, and I’m watching it all happen, and worried about survival.

In my dreams, I see black caterpillars all over my body. I see my mom taking off my clothes and they were everywhere. I’ve see the same dream the night before and its making me feel nauseated and scared that something bad is about to happen to me or my loved ones. Please help me.

I havent been able to sleep for three days. I keep dreaming about this person that i know. I dont think I like this person, but idk. Anyways, every time they show up, a few scenes later the dreams changes into a nightmare. Its a very strange concept, and im just looking see what you guys think.

I had learned in psychology that REM sleep is the fourth stage (or a later stage, i forget, its been awhile) of sleep– the stage in which you dream– and during that time your body is on total lockdown. This is to prevent you from taking courses of action such as jumping out windows or running around or other actions that enact your dream– this makes sense.

I also learned that things like sleep talking and sleep walking happen in the prior stages of sleep, such as the third stage– which is fine and makes sense.

What i dont get is that in popular media whenever someone is caught sleep talking or sleep walking, their speech or action is later related to their dream. for example if someone is caught muttering about a girl they like, they will later recall that they had dreamed about this girl and during the dream they had said the lines they had said when they were sleep talking. it is implying that they were sleeptalking during the dream and letting out bits of what they were dreaming.

personally, when im heard sleep talking, the things im said to have said do not relate to the dreams that i remeber having, but my sleepwalks refer to my dreams (i used to sleepwalk as a kid) and my friends usually say that their sleeptalks and walks relate to their dreams.

so can someone explain this? why is it said that these are two differnt times of sleep but people say they happen simultaneously. how is that your body is on full lockdown in REM sleep when you dream, but people still mutter and sleepwalk according to their dream?

I have had dreams for years about driving through the mountains and countryside. I mean, ending up way out in the middle of nowhere. I can see having a few of them seeing as how I live in WV, but I seem to have a lot more than I think is normal, like one every few months, and these are the dreams that really stand out. There’s always something deeper in the dream, and that part of the dream is not consistent. Do you dream in themes?
