I am suffering from insomnia and not get sound sleep. I am also suffering from cold. I consulted many doctors but no result found. Due to less sleep, I suffer headache all times. Please tell me proper suggestions so that I can get sound sleep and relief from cough and cold also.

‘ve had chronic insomnia since I was a baby. It went unnoticed until I was in jr. high and began taking a cold capsule at bedtime when I could not sleep and that helped back then. I was taken to many doctors as I grew up but they always told my mother there was nothing wrong with me and sent me home being scolding for faking illness. I wasn’t faking. I was a very sickly child, chronically fatigue, with little interest in the world and people around me. When I am able to sleep well for at least 8 hours I feel almost normal. But without medication, my brain does not shut down enough to sleep. I quickly develope a tolerance to medications, then the doses are increased which increases the severity or their side effects. I was born a type A Personality and it kills me to sit home when I want to be working. But without a long term relief from my insomnia I cannot work . I need to find a new sleep aid that doesn’t cause me to sleep walk. I’ve already tried all the natural remedies

How can I cure insomnia without sleeping pills?




Please. I can’t sleep at night, and don’t wake up easily in the morning. The doctors have all diagnosed it as insomnia, and the pills and meds don’t work for me. anyone got anything? i need some advice, and herbs and stuff like that would probably work.

It is for my 17 year old who is on several medications.

Because they don’t know the real reason why you can’t sleep. Or is it a big money maker somehow?
And yes I do know I snore. I was told that I do.
I am in no way saying there are no good ethical doctors. I know of many good ethical and caring doctors.
No I don’t believe I have this. I am just saying is that is medically a popular condition to test for. And sometimes when they don’t know the attribute the symptoms to apnea.

My boyfriend has (with a little push) managed to seek help for his depression, which he has suffered from for almost two years. I am thrilled that he has made this step, but I don’t want to do anything to mess things up for him.

The doctors have put him on antidepressants and sleeping pills, but I’m afraid I don’t know which ones.

How can I support him through the dodgy side effects and help the medication help him? What should I be doing, what should I not be doing?

i had surgery on my knee for a cracked growth plate a few years back and the doctors put two pins in my knee, &Lately I havent been getting to bed till atleast 3:30am or 4 But when it gets Cold my Knee tends to get sore &aches with no sign of it letting up .. So i Took 4 tylenols & was hesitating on taking a Single Unisom sleep aid pill, is this dangerous? im not taking any chances Lol.

How do you cure insomnia?




I kinda suffer a severe case of night insomnia…I have not been sleeping for 3 days straight now…any suggestions? I tried taking pills(not drugs) and seen a few doctors but they give me some strange medicine that taste awful…one even asked me to see a psychiatrist so I went there but the insomnia is still here…help~

I was at the doctors yesterday and it was mentioned (b/c of my insomnia and constant elevated body temperature - not fever related), but they never thought to do a blood test. I came home and looked up the symptoms on 10 different websites, and it practicaly spells out my life health issues! How do I go about asking my doctor to do this blood test without sounding like a hyperchondriact?

I know that the most common sleep aids prescribed are the non-narcotic sleep aids such as Ambien and Lunesta due to their decreased Habit forming characteristics but I would prefer the other type of sleep aid. I am a collage student so my previous doctors thought that I was just looking for a good recreational drug but really want it or need it :)
If anyone has information regarding the different classes of sleep aid and their reasons for prescription please ANSWER!!

what is the best way to cure insomnia?




For the past couple weeks i have had trouble with sleeping..sometimes i cant fall asleep at all. I think it has to do with my different times of sleeping…since im a full time college student i stay up late at night studying and take naps during the day. On weekends i’m out till the wee hours of the morning partying…so i def dont get enough sleep and take naps during the day as well. So when i really need to sleep in order to be ready for a really big exam i cannot fall asleep. Right now its getting to the point where im thinking about going to a doctor. My parents who are both doctors told me to get professional help, i want to know if there is a way of curing it before i do go to get professional help with this.
Thanks for all your help! I actually decided to listen to my parents and get professional help because i cannot do this anymore. I have finals coming up and i need tons of rest in order to do well.

im a 14 yr old girl and i can never sleep that well, i never get a really good sleep sometimes i cant sleep at all. i just have problems sleeping.

i have always had trouble sleeping but it is even worse now that i am trying to get clean. the lack of sleep is making it very hard for me to stay clean and it is very frustrating!! i know doctors dont like to give people like me sleep aids but i fear if i dont get something to help me i am going to falter. if anyone knows of a non-habit forming sleep aid i would love to know about it. nothing seems to work!
