The past few days, my stool has been black. I thought it was no big deal and checked online, but I read black stool could be a sign of cancer and im freaking out. The only difference in my diet is recently i started taking sleeping pills every night. Does any medical people on here know if sleeping pills can be related to internal bleeding? I know I should go check this out with a doctor and i think i will but wanted some opinions here especially if you are a nurse or doctor. Thanks
I have to cute cute my caffeine and can’t drink the diet Dr Pepper. What are some other caffeines free drinks that taste good. I just tried A&W diet root beer. Its not bad, but I can’t do that this whole pregnancy lol.
And yes I know I need to drink more milk and water, and I do. I also started drinking vitamin water and Gatorade. I just like to enjoy a soda once a day.

He wakes up all night!!! The other night he woke up 11 times between 10pm and 6am. He only takes 1-2 naps during the day 1 around 10am for maybe a hour and then again around 4pm for an hour. I try and let him cry/scream but he bothers the other kids. I hate it because the 1st half hour-hour after waking up in the morning to get the other kids ready for school I am real grumpy and it bites cause I know I am and I try not to be but every little thing pisss me off and I feel bad for my other boys. My other kids didnt sleep like this. And to top it off I am 8 months pregnant due Jan 21. Me taking naps during the day really isnt an option because the other kids in school in sports and other after school activies. My husband works 6-7days a week. The doctor dosent seem to think there is anything wrong with his sleep patterns.
*He is breast fed
*He eats baby/table food
Did he used to sleep better? Before he 1st started teething he slept all the time once he started teething he kept the sleeping pattern from the teething even though he wasnt teething anymore.
Has his diet changed? It has increased but not much
Do you breastfeed? yes
Has where he sleeps changed?no he has always slept in his crib in his room
Is daddy gone more now than he used to be? He just started a new job but before he was gone just as much
Have things gotten worse since you started talking about the baby? I dont think so
When he was smaller did he often sleep in a swing or boucy chair? He had a lot of croup so he slept in a swing sometimes only when he was croupy
Did he used to nap more during the day?no
Will he nap in the stroller?Only if we are gone for a long time
Is he getting enough exercise/stimulation during the day, or is he more sedentary now that you (may be) are habing more trouble getting around? We play all the time I am hoping that it will tire him out but we play a lot.
Has he started doing something new: walking, crawling, etc. He is standing and trying to walk
He dosent eat sugary foods or anything like that.
ok first of all, i went through a bad breakup like 3 weeks ago but its fine, since im sure i was the one who wanted to break up and now i’m better…
next, i go to the gym every other day but even on the days that i do go to the gym, i still can’t go to sleep even though i tired myself out for 2 hours.
i try j*rking off to doze myself off but it hardly works..
i’m on this diet where i eat brunch, then dinner, then do situps to burn whatever ive eaten for the day then don’t eat anything after doing situps (that’s like 3 hours before bedtime) but the thing is, sometimes i find myself still awake at 5am, and sometimes i think about food or what’s in the fridge…
but i realize when i wake up that i was simply craving since i didnt want any of the food i was thinking about the night before the following day…
so… help me? thanks y’all!
When I start new programs for body toning and weight loss, they usually provide a diet. These diets always tell you to stop caffeine completely. Why? I went to curves, dropped 2 sizes, but my fat index remained the same. They asked if drank caffeine. Yes!
Well I hear so much that a better diet, more greens and less sweets, along with good sleep will really improve my complexion and skin(less acne, fading of scars). Well I actually want to know if that is true and how long results would take if I did that along with some good fitness as well?
i have been taking care of my diet. i watched what i eat and i exercise regularly. but the problem is, my weight remain constant for about 6 months already despite the efforts that i have made. but i have serious sleeping issues; i sleep during the day and stays awake at night. i don’t feel tired easily yet sometimes i do not get enough sleep. is this the reason y my weight has not decrease? thanks

Here’s my problem I either sleep about 0-4 hours a day then I wake up and no matter how tired I am I can’t go back to sleep AND about once a fortnight I will totally crash from like 6 am to 6 pm only to feel so much worse.
I think I have a sleeping problem bu ti don’t know what to do. I’m 16 BTW so sleeping pills aren’t a great idea plus I love the whole having the REM cycle thing.
Any ideas?
I’ll probably try most of them out, the one that works the best will get the points. If none of them work whoever wrote the nicest question will get them. (PS It’s 1.33 am here and I still aint sleep, gotta be up for school in 5 hours)
I don’t have ANY caffeine in my diet.
Seriously no coffee, no cola etc
I might eat a bit of chocolate during the DAY

Also I am posting this here because I’ve posted it in the medical area but to no avail, AND this board always gives good answers.
There’s this job that I’m trying to get that is from 10:30 pm to 6 am. It PAYS, it’s a piece of cake, and I’m more of a night owl than a morning person anyways. However, I don’t see when I would get all my sleep really….. I have school at 1:40pm so I at least need to be awake by 1pm. By the time I drive home and everything from the job, it’d be around 7AM. So I’d have approx 6 hours of sleep (give or take, because I tend to lay there for a long time before I actually fall asleep) before school. Actually probably less than that if I want to eat lunch. I get out of school at 3:15, and home around 3:40 (the traffic is awful). Then sometime in the evening (very flexible and not necessary a specified time I need to be there, but it takes at least 3 hours) I need to go out to the barn and clean stalls (my other job). I don’t necessarily need to do this every single evening, but at least 4 times a week.
So right now my schedule is:
1:40 pm – school
3:15 – get out of school
3:40 – get home
5-8 pm – clean stalls (although again, I don’t do this every single evening, just four evenings a week give or take a few).
3 AM – bed time ;-]
So I do have a lot of free time, however, I don’t know when I would get all my sleep. I would be able to get 5-6 hours of sleep before school, and possible squeeze in 2-3 hours of sleep after school somehow to get my full 8 hours (although I normally like to go for 10 hours or so LOL ;-]
But my problem is, can I still get through enough REM cycles when I split up my sleep into sections like that? a sleep cycle is 90 minutes, correct? I’m just worried that I can’t really split my sleep up like this and still allow my body to go through what it needs to go through during sleep.
BTW I’m an 18 year old female… if my diet is relevant, I’m a vegetarian, and I don’t take vitamins. Oh, and as far as medications, I take Zoloft.
LOL and now it’s gone because someone reported it so you look like your on crack because you’re making a comment about nothing LOL!!!
I know I need 8-9 hours of sleep to really feel good during the day. I’m a student so I have crazy hours but if left to my own devices I’m usually up at 1pm and don’t go to bed before 4am. I’m most productive during 10pm and 4am. I have no trouble falling asleep at 4am. When I have to go to schools to do work I have a really hard time getting up at 630am and going to bed before midnight. It doesn’t matter how long I try to keep this schedule to get used to it, I just never feel good doing it. This started in HighSchool (10yrs ago). Caffeine, diet and exercise are not a factor.
Am I just a night owl or do I have a sleep disorder? My doctor just gave me sleeping pills (Ambien) and told me to take them at 10pm. It works really well but on weekends I fall right back into my usual pattern.
see…now its 4 am and I’m tired/ready for bed. If this had been a week that I had to work I wouldn’t have been asleep before 2am even though I’d been up since 630am and have to do it all over again… wtf?
