Hi, I have a CPAP machine for a mile case of sleep apnea but it isn’t very comfortable. I’m wondering if anyone would recommend any of the other devices available such as a mouthpiece, chin strap, special pillow, or any other device or method you may have tried? Thanks

I had a sleep titration study about a year ago, but the cpap machine prescribed didn’t work well for me. Now I’m told I might need either a BIPAP or an auto-titrating CPAP. The sleep titration study showed that I needed a pressure of 18.
But what is the difference between these two machines? Which might be best for me?

I have been on a cpap machine for over 10 years. recently pressure raised to 11. I am having multiple episodes of sleep apnea and I want to contact some one to talk to about this.
I sleep on my stomach and I have the nasal mask for my CPAP machine but I can’t get comfy at all and can’t fall asleep. I have never slept through the night with it and I am tired every day. I am wondering if I took a sleeping pill with it at night if that would help. I need to figure something out because the coffee is starting not to be effective with keeping me awake during the day. Any help or suggestions out there?

I can’t afford a CPAP machine right now. Are there any other alternatives that help with sleep apnea? I’ve tried a dental device before, but it hurts my jaw and teeth too much. Surgery is also not an option right now due to the cost. Is there anything else that can be done? I’m trying to lose weight, so no need to tell me that, either.
And have developed ear problems. It is almost like after leaving a concert and your ears are ringing, but no where near as bad. it is a constant now. Has anyone out there started having problems with their ears after starting use of the cpap machine? If so, did you end up going to an ent or back to the sleep doctor? My 15yr old granddaughter has sleep apnea and has been told she needs a cpap machine at night. Where do we get one? How much do they run and does SoonerCare pay for them or even help pay for them. Does she qualify for SSI having this condition? Her doctor says her situation is serious. We don’t know what to do. Any information on getting a machine and help paying for it would be appreciated.
