During the week I usually go to bed around 10 PM, wake up around 2 AM then go back to sleep until 5 AM. When I wake up at 2 AM I feel wide awake. I can just stand up and be ready to do things. Sometimes I get a drink of water and go back to sleep. Other nights I tidy up, start some laundry, empty the dishwasher or other random things for a few mintues. I usually have no trouble falling back asleep after that but when my alarm goes off, I want to throw it out the window and I spend the first couple hours of the day feeling drowsy.

I think I’m feeling sleepy because I’m waking myself up in the middle of an REM cycle.

My 11 week old son has been sleeping a lot more than usual. He sleeps almost all day and night. He wakes up for 20min-1 hour to be fed(sometimes doesn’t actually wake up) but then sleeps for 2 1/2 -3 hours during the day. He usually sleeps a good 6 hours at bed time. He used to stay up a couple hours at a time during the day. He has also been drooling a lot the past couple days and a little crankier than usual.

How can I control insomnia?




For about 4 years now (since I was 12) I have had terrible insomnia.

Sometimes i’ll stay up all night, and then over sleep the next. Or I’ll sleep a couple hours, and not be able to sleep anymore. Often i’ll be very tired and take a nap in the day, and then not be able to sleep at night. I always have a very hard time getting up in the morning. I can be extremely tired and be happy to get to bed, and then after not sleeping for a few hours give up and watch tv.

Sometimes it’s an obvious reason why I can’t sleep, like I am nervous about something, but sometimes I won’t sleep for no apparent reason.

I am about to go back to school and really need to have a good sleeping pattern so that it can be a successful year.
I went to the doctor and she gave me 30 pills of 25 mg of APO HYDROXYZINE. I took one last night at 10, didn’t sleep till 5, and then slept all day until 11 at night!

Has anyone been able to control their insomnia, if not cure it, and any ideas on how I can do the same?
I can’t take melatonin, I have a wierd reaction to it, but if I have to take something to sleep I would really prefer it to be natura/herbal.

I’m just curious about whether or not a person would feel better getting no sleep before having to go to school (or work) or getting only a couple hours of sleep before having to wake up to start their day.

Sleeping??




I’m 20 years old and I have a sleeping problem. I can sleep a 13 hour night and I am still dead tired only a couple hours later, and I go back to sleep, i just can’t get enough. I always want to lay down and I can’t even get a job because of htis. I’m always tired. I take Celexa for anxiety, but that’s it. This has been going on for the past few months. I would go to the doctor but I don’t have insurance, so do you have any ideas?
I have been taking celexa forever, i’ve never had this, i’m sure it’s not from that

melatonin?




i’m going on a trip soon and it’s gonna be like a 14 hour car ride and i’m wondering if melatonin would work or if you like have to take it at night. could i take it a couple hours after i woke up in the morning and it would make me fall asleep again?

Im 20 weeks pregnant and cant sleep at night?




i know that that’s the downside to pregnancy, but i was wondering if there was anything that could help me. i got a body pillow, and its not helping. i wake up every couple hours and cant fall back asleep for about an hour. i try to take naps, but i just end up wakening up after about an hour. im starting to miss all the sleep i got in the first trimester. anyone?
