Do I have sleeping problems or something?




Every night i wake up in the middle of the night (around like 2 or 3). Is it just part of puberty or something? Its scary at sleep-over parties cuz when i wake up its all dark and everyones’ asleep. and when i wake up in the middle of the night i feel wide-awake and not like sleepy or watever. am i weird or do i just have a sleeping prob???
and i dont drink chocolate milk, eat cookies, or anything sugary and stuff before bedtime.!!

why do I have problems sleeping at night?




Im stressed out I know that. But whenever I have to go somewhere like school or whatever, I stay up till 2 or 3 in the morning thinking. And I really cant stop thinking at night. So what can I do to relax before bedtime?

How can i sleep better?




I’m 16 years old and my bedtime is 11 O’clock it usually takes me about 1-2 hours just to fall asleep. Any advice for sleeping more better/faster?

I sleep at least 8-9 hrs/day. Feel like I have lead weights on my body when I wake up! Very sleepy & no energy all day, very difficult to get my work done. Like trying to run uphill and into the wind all day. Finally feel awake from 7-8pm until bedtime. I eat healthy foods, drink water, 3 meals & 1 snack. Don’t take vitamins on a regular basis though. Exercise almost every day for 30min-1hr. I’m not depressed or sad, have lots of interests & fun, but I do have stress too. Not on any medications. The last time I felt regularly awake & energetic during the day was 2 years ago when I smoked cigarettes! Tried ginseng, doesn’t agree with me. Asked doctor and he said bloodwork was fine, maybe it was my semi-low blood pressure (but not low enough to recommend medicine). I desperately want more energy. Open to herbs, vitamins, homeopathy, anything that don’t involve needles, or things to ask my doctor to check for.

Started taking a mag/calcium/zinc supplement and about 30 minutes after taking it I felt sleepy, but not "knocked out" tired just almost a calm, peaceful type of sleepiness. Is this common? If so, it could be a great idea for people with sleep disorders to try before bedtime instead of conventional sleeping pills, as most people are deficient in this mineral anyway. Any thoughts?

He uses it to fall asleep before his 2 naps. He doesn’t use it as much before bedtime. I’m looking for helpful advice from kind mothers. Thank you.

I have a 5 week old kitten from the animal shelter, and have had her for about a week now. The last few nights she has been waking me up several times during the night wanting to play. I understand she is a kitten, and that is what kittens do, but is there any way to break her of this? I work full-time and go to college full-time (including summer school) so sleeping is very precious to me.
I tell her no, and push her away, or put her in her favorite spot to sleep in, but she will come back thinking I am playing with her. I don’t mind her sleeping with me, I just don’t want her trying to play when I am trying to sleep. Should I make her a bed in my walk-in closet and some toys and a litter box? What do ya’ll do to break your kittens of playing during bedtime.
Last night, I played with my kitten before we went to bed, and she ran into my closet. I didn’t hear her for a while, so I went in to make sure she was OK. She was sleeping in a shoe box in there. I left the closet door open and let her sleep in there… I am sure it was a one night thing and she probably won’t be staying asleep in there, but she did let me sleep. She didn’t try to play with me until I was waking up.

How can i get myself to fall asleep?




even when i’ve had a long day and i think im extremely tired, i get into bed and i just cant fall asleep. i’ve tried reading at night. yeah definitely did NOT work for me. i’ve done practically everything. i know im doing something wrong though. any tips to help me get to sleep.

i have to wake up at 6 every morning so an early bedtime is what im aiming for.

I started taking anti-anxiety pills 3 days ago (I have to take them 2 hours before bedtime) and the doctor mentioned drowsiness as a side effect for "a few days". I’m 15 if that makes any difference, but when will my drowsiness subside? The drowsiness is also making me very irritable..

I take ambien cr every night about an hour before bedtime! I fall asleep really fast but only sleep from about 10 to 2 am and have a hard time going back to sleep, if you have this problem what have you taken to keep you asleep all night?

Baby's Bedtime Routine..?




Does anyone else use the Johnson&Johsnon bedtime bath and lotion and believe it does indeed help baby sleep better? I used it when my baby was first born and he was always a great sleeper. When I ran out of that stuff, i just bought some normal baby bath because I thought it was just a marketing ploy and a load of crock.
My baby is now 8 months old and wakes up at night – ALL THE TIME. he is easy to put back to sleep but it just seems to me that he is nevr getting into a good REM cycle because he wakes so often.
Anyway, last night, for no particular reason I decided to use the tiny bit of the Bedtime Bath that I had left in the bottle, and my baby slept 11 hours straight, in his own cot for the first time in months.
I think it may actually work!!!!
Anyone else think so?

I dont eat right before bed, I only drink water around bedtime.. I dont usually wake up in the night… Thats all :3

What are ways to help multiples sleep better?




I have 7 month old twins, so they should not necessarily be sleeping through the night. They nurse once a night, but they wake up frequently needing pacifiers or whatever. With my older son this was not such a big deal, with two I feel like me and my husband are barely sleeping, and 7 + months of barely sleeping is not okay anymore. I used the Weissbluth methods for some things like finding a bedtime, but it appears multiples pose some special sleep challenges. They are in the same crib, and we are getting another ready so they will be in separate cribs soon.

Tips on passing a drug test for Marijuana?




My husband has a job interview tomorrow at my father’s company. I asked my father if they will drug test him (I said I was just curious) and he said they might, but they don’t always. My husband is not a habitual smoker, but he has insomnia (transient) and the medication that he was prescribed was not working. So a close friend recommended he try Marijuana to see if it helps. And it did! He smoked for about a month, maybe 2 or 3 times a week just before bedtime. It has been roughly one week since he has smoked at all.

But he *might* have to be drug tested tomorrow and I am worried that he won’t pass it. This will really be bad because since it is my father’s company he will get the job, it is just mandatory that they have an application and interview on file. The only thing that would keep him from getting the job is if he is tested and fails.

Is there anything he can do tonight to be able to test clean if in fact they do test him tomorrow? Please do not judge, he is not going to smoke at all anymore once he gets this job, he just really needed some relief from not sleeping. Thank you.
