My stepmoms idea, since he didn’t really sleep very much last night…like, he kept waking up every 2 hours & barking. Is it safe for my stepmom to use Babies Benadryl for him to help him sleep?
P.S.: The puppy is 3 and a half months old & a golden retriever.
And we’ve had him for 4 weeks.

My MIL claims my baby will sleep better and longer once he is on solid foods. Is this true? Was this true for your babies? He is 5 months now and I am waiting till he is 6 months to start, no sooner. He was sleeping 8-10 hrs straight about a month ago but now I think he is teething and he is only going about 5 hrs.
Also, Is "teething" an indicator of a babies readiness for solids??

I am a mother to 2 month old twin girls. My 3 year old daughter started sleeping all night at 5 months but I know all babies are different. Do you think it will be harder for twins to start sleeping all night? We have kept them on the same feeding schedule and Im hoping that will help some within the next few months.

Hi, I have 16 month old. He sometimes gets up in the night. I want to know when babies start sleeping continuously for 8/10 hrs without waking/crying in middle of night. Thank you.

I know it’s very very normal for women later in pregnancy to have problems sleeping, but last night was just ridiculous. I woke up almost every hour having cramping feelings and they have continued throughout the day actually having some pretty intense contractions, nothing to be to worried about because they aren’t regular.
I guess my question is the night before you went into active labor did you sleep good or were you really restless?
I am 2 1/2 cm dialated, cervix is soft, and forward, and my babies head is fully engaged. I am 39 weeks pregnant a few days away from 40 weeks..

Asked in zoology:
Q: "Do insects sleep?"
A: Not exactly. Apparently, it takes a different kind of brain complexity than insects have to sleep. Researchers can observe brainwaves these days and insects neither achieve sleep nor REM sleep (dreaming). But, they go into "trances" of restful periods during which they are completely aware of their surroundings and predators. Insects have an enormously "fast" metabolism and short life span that sort of burns like a Roman candle and pretty much wide awake all the time. Some cicada have a 13 -17 year life cycle and many people think that they sleep underground during that part of their life cycle. But, actually, after their eggs hatch and the babies or "nymphs" fall to the ground, they burrow down and pretty much are awake for however long they remain there before they re-emerge.
…………….
What good is belief if it can’t answer simple questions?

This seems very, very dangerous to me as babies/children should NEVER be given any drugs unless they are ill.
I’ve heard giving benadryl or cough syrup to put their babies into a drug induced sleep. How many of you do it, or know others who do it? How many people think this is very dangerous?

My son is 10 weeks old and has been sleeping in his bassinet in my bedroom. I’m not sure when I should start making him sleep in his crib. I feel a lot more comfortable when he’s in the same room as me. I have monitors, but it’s not the same. When did your babies move from the bassinet to the crib?
Thanks!

I have heard stories that by week 6/7 things get a little easier in terms of babies sleep/feed and wake patterns? Is this true and when does this usually occur? The first few weeks have been a little difficult.

My newborn is 5 days old and so far she is sleeping for about 3,sometimes 4 hour intervals during the day but is up and fussy during the late night. I was wondering if it was safe to feed her lukewarm milk this early in her age.Does warm milk help babies sleep better?

They say that babies have REM cycles and dream vividly in utero. But what could my baby boy possibly be dreaming about in there? He doesn’t know anything yet…

I know this is kind of good for a newborn but before 4 weeks he was sleeping 5 to 6 hours a night. Now that he’s colicky he wakes up every half an hour crying in pain.. I know that could last 12 weeks or longer..
I’m just wondering for my curiosity; when babies sleep through the night.

I always wondered if this was still instinct… I mean somewhere way back in time humans would have to wake up if there were predators around, but babies spend alot of time in the deep sleep (REM state) because they get looked after, and as people get older they spend less and less time in the REM state.
Anyone know if this is atall true? Of if it makes any sence lol.
Tell me the tecnical reason…
Or anyone just got a little theory, feel free to add
