I got stung by a bee, took 1 day-time benadryl and was wondering if I could sip lightly on some alcohol later tonight?
What could occur if you were to combine alcohol with valium-like drugs, narcotics or antihistamines?
Choose one of the following
Becomes similar to a hallucinogens
Increases the effect of the depressants and could lead to respiratory depression, coma or death
Nothing, the drugs will cancel each other out
A paradoxical stimulant effect which could lead to high levels of anxiety and paranoia
I know that it is dangerous to drink alcohol and take valium. (valium is an antihistamine, right?)
Is it dangerous for ALL antihistamines? (i.e. Benadryl, diphenhydramine, etc)
I am talking about prescribed average dosages of antihistamines.
I have always have very real dreams. I always wake up tired. My dreams last throughout the night no matter how long I sleep. I real that the deepest sleep comes after REM sleep (dream stage), but I can’t seem to get past the REM stage. Help please. I’m 22, not on drugs, a female, have tried sleeping pills, alcohol (just from social partying, not often), sticking to a sleep schedule and trying different hours of sleep.
Does anyone know how to get past the REM stage? I’m always cranky in the morning and I hate it.
For my seasonal allergies, I take Zyrtec in the morning. Tonight i’ll be going to a party where alcoholic beverages are served. If I drink at all, will it be safe? I don’t plan on drinking all that much, so I’m thinking that taking it 12-13 hours ago wont really be that bad (the label says with alcohol, drowsiness will increase, but im spending the night there).
Anything else other than that should I be concerned about?
i take the stuff, and i know that on the commercial it says "don’t take it with alcohol"
the other night, i did that by accident. nothing happened though. not alot of alcohal, i guess not enough to make a difference.
but im curious, what happens if you do? not like getting crazy drunk, but like say, 2 beers + ambien?
I understand that ethanol is toxic to the human body, in particular the liver. But benzodiazepines and alcohol have cross-tolerance, which is why benzodiazepines are prescribed to treat dangerous withdrawal. But are benzos toxic in any way themselves?
Just curious. Of course, an over-dose of benzos might be considered ‘toxic’; the same with alcohol, but do these molecules themselves pose any danger to the lives of cells in the human body?

I just started using benadryl daily, and take 2 before bed. But I’m also an occasional drinker, and have about 6-7 beers in a night. I’ve heard benadryl and alcohol together could be fatal, but I was wondering just how much would be too much, and if I am even close to that limit.
If you take 40 sleeping pills and 29 proproanolol with alcohol will it kill you?
Does anyone know if they make a drug that makes you sick when you drink caffeine? I know they do for alcohol but what about caffeine?
