I’ve heard that digital alarm clocks affect your stages of sleep so you are more frequently in the earlier stages than the later stages and rem which is better for you. Can someone please tell me why?

I have Sleep Problems?

I have problems waking up in the morning. No matter when i go to bed at 12 or at 9 none of my alarm clocks seem to wake me up. It literally takes someone to wake me and make sure i get out of bed, otherwise i fall right back asleep. I have tried several loud alarm clocks, even one that barks, yet all they do is wake up my family not me. I do prefer to stay up late i have trouble falling asleep early so my normal time which i fall asleep is 10 at least. I have been told this is a sleep disorder, is that true?
Yes i do dream around once a week, and to the people saying the later i sleep the later i wake up thats not true. My dad has recently made me to go to bed at 9 and yet i still dont wake up to my alarms

Sleeping Problems.?

For the past few months I’ve noticed my sleeping problems are getting worse. Last night Went to Sleep about 1:30am , today woke up about 3:00pm. Thats Over 12 hours of sleep and its been happening alot. I don’ know what to do any more, I can’t even wake up to an alarm clock anymore, what should I do?
Err, well I do go outside alot and as for a xbox I hardly even touch it. Plus I’ve got school so which stops that. As for alarm clocks I got 2 set up in my room and I still can’t wake up to them.

Does this sound like a sleep disorder?

Does this sound like a sleep disorder?
I set 4 alarm clocks every morning, around 5-15 minutes apart, and scatter them all over my room. I put some in drawers to wake me up. Still, I sometimes have absolutely no memory of having turned them off.

Sometimes I don’t sleep enough but I do often get 7-9 hours of sleep. I am 17-years-old so I don’t always get the recommended amount but I do often. I’m still always extremely tired. I fall asleep often, but not always, after school and my mother always yells at me for it. I sleep for around 3 hours at the absolute most, usually it’s only around an hour though. I do feel a little better afterward. Even if I don’t, I’m able to focus better at night. I almost always show up 10-20 minutes late for the first class of the morning. Sometimes, after setting and turning off all those clocks, my mother will knock on my door and ask me if I’m up. I’ll tell her that I am and that I’m getting ready and tell her to go away. This upsets my mother because it is, of course, rude, but I honestly have absolutely no memory of saying these things. Sometimes I talk to both my parents before I’m even awake.

Right before I fall asleep and sometimes during the middle of the night or in the morning when I’m half awake, I hallucinate. I’ve never had a visual hallucination, they’re always auditory. The other morning, I heard my dad talking in front of my door. My father comes to visit sometimes but he was 5 hours away at the time and there’s no way he was home. I heard a man the other night right before I fell asleep, I don’t even remember what he said but nobody was home. I’ve had this since I was younger though. One time, I was in the car and I fell asleep pretty quickly. I was around 10. I had the most vivid and terrifying nightmare and I woke up to a gunshot. The gunshot wasn’t a part of the dream, I heard it out loud. I looked out the window and we were still in the same area, I’d only been asleep for like 5 minutes.

I have no problem spending an extended amount of time on a math problem or any schoolwork. My brain just doesn’t allow me to. I used to be much more focused and I could spend hours doing math. Now, my brain will get all foggy and the page will go out of focus (not in the Schizophrenic way but in the tired way) and I won’t be able to think. I have constant headaches. I can’t listen to people because I’m constantly zoning out. It’s a big problem at school but it’s also affecting my social life, sometimes I’m incredibly interested in hearing what one of my peers has to say but I simply can’t focus enough to listen to what they’re talking about.

Why do I have problems with sleep?

I have always been very bad at sleeping. I get tired and I stay tired but I just can’t sleep. Often I will go for a couple of days or more through simple inability to fall asleep, right now for example, I’ve been awake for coming on 60 hours and I have things to do today that I know I won’t be very good at because of it. It’s not just that way round though, I will have stretches where I will sleep 16+ hours a day every day for a week.

I have tried controlling my patterns with alarm clocks and soporifics, but my body seems to ignore them.

I was wondering if this is at all common to have wildly varying sleep patterns, and if it’s something that I can solve easily?

sleep disorder?

I work nights 5pm to 1am
i go to bed around 3am
set the alarm for 2pm
I sleep through it every time
I eventualy downloaded an alarm clock that you can adjust to be more effective, i set it to 1060 hz which was ear piercing to me.
set the 3 alarm clocks i have and the computer to 2 pm and i slept until 6pm the 3 clocks im assuming shut off long before i woke up but the computer was still going. and was still ear piercing when i finaly woke up

Why can i not hear ANYTHING when im sleeping, its been like this for as long as i can remember and ive lost a few jobs because of it, im coming close to losing a 4th job

Any suggestions? is this a sleep disorder?
also
if completely undisturbed i can sleep up to two full days non stop.
i dont usually wake up in the middle of the night at all and i dont even remember any of my dreams like i used to be able too.
the last three jobs i had were your average 9 to 5
