My daughter was put on Focalin XR for ADHD. She takes this first thing in the morning along with her anitbiotics for Lyme Disease. Since she has been taking this she has not slept more than 5 hours at night. I have checked every other medicine and none of them seem to cause any sleep problems. Besides that the doctor that put her on this medicine said she either had ADHD or Bipolar disorder but they couldn’t tell which one. Any help would be great. Thanks!!

I know melatonin isn’t usually given to children but a couple of my friends pediatrician have advised them giving it to their kids because they are ADHD and have problems sleeping at night. Has anyone ever heard of giving it to babies to help them sleep?

My daughter takes concerta 36mg, and remeron 15mg. Can you take melatonin with these meds. I know I have to ask the doctor and I will, but I wanted to know if anyone else has an ADHD child who is not sleeping and has used Melatonin to help the sleeping

My husband has ADHD and has trouble sleeping. He takes melatonin because we prefer to stay away from the narcotic sleeping pills. This does seem to be helping him sleep better but he says he still does not wake up feeling refreshed or it’s as if he didn’t even sleep at all. What else can he do to get better rest?
Actually…lol…he smokes all the time. That does help, but not enough. Maybe more? hahaha. Can’t get enough I guess.

I have sleep apnea ocd anxiety and adhd at age 14. Is it really rare for someone my age to have all those problems?
