How can i help my baby take a longer nap?

My baby is four months old. He sleeps 7 hours straight at night and wakes up every four hours to eat until 9am when he wakes up. Around 1pm he takes a nap for about 30-45 mintues then he wakes up really fussy and can’t go back to sleep. How can I help him have a longer nap? By the way that’s the only time he tries to take a nap.

is it insomnia or just a sleeping disorder?

ok so i have a horrible time getting to sleep at night. i’ll go to bed at like 12 and not actually fall asleep till 4am or 5am. i have a terrible cough at night, and only at night. i wake up kinda early for when i go to sleep. i wake up around 9am or 10am most days. i’m kinda irritable during the day but i’m really not tired at all during the day despite my lack of sleep.

some people think it’s insomnia, others think it’s a sleeping disorder.
thoughts? answers? anything would be helpful.

I’ve had insomnia since the start of my pregnancy. Usually I stay up until 3am or 4am, sleep until 6am, wake up to see husband off to work and then go back to sleep at 9am till 12pm. Thats my routine everyday and its so annoying! I’m exhausted but I cannot sleep! Anyone else have this issue? Whats your night routine like? Anyone found relief for their insomnia? I have doc appointment friday and am going to ask him about it but just wanted to see if it effects anyone else!

I literally have not had a steady sleep pattern in over 6 years. I always sleep around 4am or way later. And I havent woken up at 9am consistently in years. I am young too so its really messing with me. I feel like it ruins my day, my mood, just everything. What can I do? I tried lying in bed but i dont feel tired at all. i’m so lost…

sleeping problems?




i have trouble sleeping at night.
I will fall asleep at around 4/5am and wake up at around 9am at the latest 7.30am most days but still cannot get to sleep until the early hours of the morning. Have tried drinking hot milk etc but nothing will work.
Could there be a problem?

I got off work today at 8am. i took 20mg of ambien at 9am and woke up at 7pm. It’s now 12:40am and I want to sleep but cant naturally, is it safe to take 20mg more of ambien?

Sleep disorder?! Maybe? Help!?




Hello everyone (: goodmorning. Ok so I think I have a sleep order., either that or I’m just being a…. Person who likes to stay up. Ok so for the past week or two I wud sleep around 7-8am. Right now it’s 9am second time I stayed up this late. I wake up around 5pm every day. And today Im not gonna sleep at all and hopefully I’ll crash tonight and my sleep cycle will be right, I highly doubt it tho. Anyway, what’s wrong with me? This is my opinion on sleep: it’s such a drag! I think it’s wayyyy to much to work to sleep!… Makes no sense right? Being asleep is nice and calming huh? Well it doesn’t help when i wake up mad cuz I’ve slept the day away, and having bad dreams, not night marens just unpleasant dreams, some r good but most r not.
I’m 12 years old and I’m a girl. I’ve been doing this for a couple weeks now. And I also did this last year…. When I was 11. Idk how I got back on track for school last year, but I did. But that’s not the point, I wanna be normal!!!!
My mom has insomnia, she takes ambien. That’s the only history of sleeping disorders in our family.. Only my mom. I think idk.
Anyway, what’s wrong with me?? I mean seriously! What is wrong with me???? I want to sleep but it’s too much work!! I have to wash my face and brush my teeth and stuff, but afterwards I’m not tired… Please help me. My mom thinks I have nothing to stress over so she doesn’t believe that it COULD be a sleeping disorder. Please help. Thank you! I’m 12 and a girl. Thank you.

Sleeping ????




Is it unhealthy to sleep at like 1am – 2am until 7am? I hate sleep and think it wastes time, especially when you can be using that time to do something constructive.

Last night I went to sleep at 4.30am and was up at 9am.

I just don’t like sleeping.

Do I have insomnia? What are the symptoms?




Well firstly, I stuggle soooo much to fall asleep. Okay, I’ll admit I can be on the computer late because I either get carried away with music or doing school work etc.

Most nights it takes me well over 1 hour to get to sleep which to me is bad, even if I have been on the computer. A lot of the time it’s 1 1 / 2 + hours to fall to sleep. I’ve tried light music in the background, different beds in the house, blacking out the curtains.

Also, on weekends, I wake up at times like 9am sometimes when I can stay in bed but I never can get back to sleep once I’ve seen the light.
However, at 7:30am for school, it takes me over 30 minutes to get out of bed.

This is only one of the things. My parents say I’ve got too much on my mind but I thought one of the symptoms was unable to clear your mind.
Could I possible have insomnia? Or any idea, if I haven’t, on how to help me sleep because I feel shattered 90% of the time.
Oh, I do kickboxing late at night, which could have something to do with it and when I’m tired they just say I’m lacking iron.

How to sleep when you took a nap earlier?




I like to sleep at 8pm – 11pm and wake up at 6am – 9am but one of those days I took a nap and messed up my sleeping schedule. Now I sleep around 4am – 6am and wake up around 1pm – 3pm. There are two solutions: Go to sleep now somehow or stay up until 3pm – 5pm which is very difficult. I also have a drivers appointment on monday at 10pm so I need to fix my sleeping schedule so any idea on how I can make myself sleep?
