My little girl just turned 5 months and we’re trying to figure out if she should be on a two-nap or three-nap schedule. Right now her schedule is bedtime at 8pm (wakes once around 2am for a bottle), awake for the day at 6am, nap from 8:30-10am, nap again from 1-2pm, and then we try to give her another nap at 5pm, but lately she’s been fighting it and we have to put her to bed early at 7pm so that she doesn’t get overtired, but then that throws off her night sleep and she wakes at 5am instead of 6am. How do we transition to two naps or should we still try to keep the third nap for awhile?

Well… im sleeping so much
i woke up 20minutes ago, i fell asleep at 5pm i had a full nights sleep last night!
last week that happened 4times!!
and i have fallen behind in my homework and have stopped going out on school nights…
I have asthma, so i snore a bit.
i have fell asleep in class,
i can hardly pay attention cause im always tired.
do u think i could have sleeping disorder?

I just can’t sleep at night! In the day, I’m exhausted, I won’t wake up until 4pm, and then I’d take half an hour naps then too. I feel tired, and I tried putting music on and I just. can’t. sleep. Where I am right now, its 2.26 am, and I woke up at 5pm after sleeping at 8.30am. I don’t wanna take any hard-core pills where I’d be knocked out for 12 hours straight or anything. Earlier I fell asleep listening to a song, but then I woke up about 20 minutes later and after that I couldn’t go to sleep. Just suggest some cures, and if there is a pill that’s not too strong,please tell me what it is.

I’m 19. I go to college and work from 5pm to midnight during the week, usually on the weekend too. I’ve noticed now that I haven’t been sleeping well at all, either. I usually can’t fall asleep now until 8am or later, and I have to be up by 2-3pm. Most nights I don’t get a good night sleep, either. I think I may have depression, so I’m thinking that could be what’s effecting this. I just haven’t been in to see a doctor yet. The past couple of days I’ve had to take something like Nyquil or some alcohol just to get tired so I could go to sleep. Could it just be depression, or maybe something else?

Please dont respond with the quick ‘go see a doctor’. I have a sleeping problem. I am an adult and have been ahving this problem ever since i can remember. If i am idle for more then 15 min i start to get drousy, if im in the reclining position i will fall asleep in 20 min no matter where i am or whats going on.
I work and go to school, if i have a day off i will spend the day sleeping… all day. Friday i went to bed at 8pm, i didnt wake till Saturday at 4pm, then went back to bed Saturday at 6pm and work Sunday at 5pm. If i am left alone i will sleep 23 hours aday. To wake me it takes alot of effort, and even more effort to stay awake.
I excercise between school and work, usualy it wakes people up but it makes me drousy. I have good eating habbits, no junk good, and eat 3-4 times aday.
This is a real problem for me and my family, ive seen a therepist for help, after evaluation they said i wasnt drepressed and there wasnt much to do.
Please help….

I have problems sleeping at night and it is to the point that sleeping pills don’t work anymore. To be honest I don’t want to have to depend on them. What are some things I can do to help me fall asleep at night? I have no trouble staying asleep its just falling asleep. I don’t drink soda anymore and only drink water after 5pm I don’t eat chocolate at all (I’m vegetarian) I just have a hard time falling asleep

I am taking citoprolam 20mg/day and would like to take melatonin to restore my natural sleep cycle. I used to take 3mg every day at 5pm and it worked great. I am currently not tired until midnight or later.
Please don’t advise to another alternative, I just need an answer to the question posted.

I like to sleep at 8pm – 11pm and wake up at 6am – 9am but one of those days I took a nap and messed up my sleeping schedule. Now I sleep around 4am – 6am and wake up around 1pm – 3pm. There are two solutions: Go to sleep now somehow or stay up until 3pm – 5pm which is very difficult. I also have a drivers appointment on monday at 10pm so I need to fix my sleeping schedule so any idea on how I can make myself sleep?
