My son is 11.5 months old (almost the big 1)! It seems like he is starting to eliminate his morning nap. He used to need it and sleep for an hour or so. Now, he’s up after 30 minutes if I even get him to sleep at all. He still take his afternoon nap though, for about an hour or more.

How many naps is your child taking? How long are they? I just want to make sure that if I try not doing the morning nap, it’s alright.

I’m too tired to study but I want to go to sleep early tonight so I can wake up in time tomorrow. I don’t drink coffee because it hurts my tummy. So I need a power nap but I feel 30 minutes might not be enough.

I’m really trying to fix my sleep schedule. I just woke up 30 minutes ago and might have slept 6 hours. Can I take melatonin within the next few hours and be fine? Would it even make me sleep very long since I’ve already slept?

Tip for people who have bed bugs?

Hi everyone I wanted to let anyone who is dealing with these critters a way to kill them I haven’t had a problem with them for a month. Now its kill on contact so you actually have to see the bug and spray it or the eggs. Do this for about a week I know it is time consuming but it worked for me.
get rubbing alcohol obviously it depends on how big your house is and how much furniture you have on how much you need to buy.
Spray the nests that are probably on the underside of your bed or chair or couch. you’ll need to vacuum your bed and if your bed has a design on it vacuum the design as well go around every crease every crack. Use Vaseline on and wood parts near the floor like the legs. These bus will not cross a Vaseline barrier. Then clean out any clutter you have. Throw your clothes ALL of them in the dryer for 30 minutes, not at one time. Just do a normal load and put it in on high heat. hang them when they come out of the dryer. spray all your furniture where you have seen a bug vacuum it. Vacuum around your base boards, then tape or block off all unused plug ins and light sockets. Bag your bed in a bed bag or if you can’t afford one use plastic wrap. This worked for me. Just try it before you think I am crazy.

My son is 5 months old, and I think maybe he is over tired when he takes a nap (because he screams and cries for about 30 minutes before he will go to sleep). I think I am waiting too long between naps. How old is your baby, and how long do you keep them awake between naps? Thanks!

In the morning, I eat a heavy meal and drink lots of water before working out. I work out for an hour , I do curl ups, push ups and use the threadmill. After 30 minutes, I hit the showers and always feel sleepy. I don’t think this is normal because I’m supposesd to study for long hours after taking a shower. Is there something wrong with my routine? How can I avoid getting sleepy after working out aside from drinking lots of coffee (I don’t drink coffee)?

I know simple, My question will be below this, any reading on is just details about me and sleep related experience, details will not be needed for the question.

Methods of doing this, being able to get rested sleep in 20-30 minutes?

Not sure how this works, I understand the sleep cycles and REM, so I find it hard to believe

I have heard this since I was a child how if one, well doesn’t matter since I know only bits of how the methods work and currently, no time to search yet I am posting this, it is I am tired but I know I cannot let myself sleep or nap, if I do, I will not wake up for several hours even if I plan a 30 minute nap with a very loud alarm, I will not wake.

Anyways, right now I would like to do this. I just finished a shift, in 2 hours I will be back at work which will be morning. Usually I love to work where I am and for what it is, the environment I am in. I am working the NOC shift at the datacenter, I am asking this cause in the past it is very easy for me to fall into a short into a short nap and just always works out disastrously. The last time, anyone working in datacenters know, cold isles and hot isles, hot isles, 90 degrees but a nice rush of warm air and if you were lay down on the floor, the very cold floor doesn’t bother you when you have the very warm air rushing over you. My mistake was not getting up as soon as I layed down and it happened, 4 hours later the phone was going off many times, finally waking with the phone ringing, coming out of it as you would if you were to sleep 8 hours then hearing the voice on the other end in a panic, and you don’t know how to respond yet and hearing about how a email server has been down for over 2 hours and this is something that should never, never happen, especially clients paying massive amounts of money per month for this not to happen so I just make sure to do nothing that will result in me falling asleep. anytime I start to nod, I bring myself out of it and do something from past experiences, If I go with those nods, happens every time, I will fall asleep. I have tried many methods, methods one would think would be overkill and work for sure with absolutely no doubt and they do not work, and I have done a lot of research, time and trials per say and all failed, fail meaning I went into a deep sleep,

also very in tune with my subcon,.. won’t say anymore, ones that know will be enough info to understand what I mean.

How many naps does your baby take during the day?

Our baby is 6 months old. We’re having sleep troubles with him. He is snack napping during the day. He takes 3 20 minute naps and by bed time he is so tired he screams for 30+ minutes before he finally falls asleep. It’s quite a project getting him to bed…

How do your babies sleep during the day? Any suggestions to get mine to sleep just a little longer during the day?
We have a routine. Bed time is the same time and place daily. He knows it is sleepy time too. His dead give away is rubbing his eyes.

My daughter is a year old and I’m starting to have trouble with her morning naps. Quite often she will wake up after only 30 minutes. Should I switch to one nap a day or is that too soon? I’m afraid if I do she’ll be really cranky in the evenings.

How do I get my baby to nap during the day?




My daughter is 7 wks old and she refuses to nap during the day. She goes down fine at night and will sleep up to 6-7 hrs at a time then, but she won’t sleep more than 30 minutes during the day. By early evening she is exhausted and incredibly cranky. We have a good bedtime routine and I’ve started trying doing a "mini" version of the same routine at nap time, but she still won’t sleep. Does anybody have any other ideas?

He has mosquito bites all over his feet and I gave him 1/4 teaspoon at about 11 am. Its now almost 2 and he woke up 30 minutes ago to eat and went back to sleep.

How long is this going to keep him asleep?? Do I need to wake him up for feedings?
I did check with his doctor, that’s what they said to give him and the amount to give him.

how long do the sleep stages last for?




how long do stages 3, 4, and REM sleep last?
i know stage 1 lasts about 10 minutes & stage 2 lasts about 30 minutes but i can’t find any information on how long stage 3, stage 4, or the REM sleep last for. any help is appreciated, thanks!

Can taking 1 vicodine and 2 benadryl hurt me?




I took half a vicodine, then maybe 25-30 minutes later took the other half. Now I wanted to go to sleep and took 2 benadryl. About an hour-hour and half in between me taking the other half of the vicodine and the benadryl. Please tell me I’ll be alright.

I drive a little over an hour one way to work a few times a week. While on the road I become sleepy after about 20 to 30 minutes. I get plenty of sleep, and even take coffee with me, but somehow, driving puts me to sleep. Any ideas? What’s causing it, what can I do?
It’s gotten so bad that I have had to pull off the road and take a 15-20 minute nap.

How come when i sleep i constantly wake up?




Okay, well i’m having sleeping problems. Some nights i sleep through it without waking up, others i wake up a few times, and sometimes i wake up a bunch. Last night i woke up like every 30 minutes!! sometimes i just fall right back to sleep but others it takes like an hour to get back to sleep. This started happening when school started (which was in August). I’ve also been having VERY vivid dreams. Sometimes i can’t tell if it actually happened or if it was just a dream.
Does any one know why this is happening?
