Seems to be a lot safer and less addictive then the xanax I was on for 3 years, sometimes I will take it to refall asleep if I wake up at 1 or 2am so I stay asleep until 6-8am.
Lately I have had to use it less for just going to sleep as the xanax withdrawl has subsided.
I had three of my doctors for three different medical problems say it was ok to use for now.

I know I will not stumble upon a panacea by asking this age-old question, but still, some remedies or pratices might ease the chronic sleeplessness that I’ve been experiencing for the last 3 years.
I’ve tried limiting caffeine, taking a shower, limiting water before bed, eating peanut butter, eating a light dinner, etc. Nothing seems to work. People tell me meditation is good, but I can not seem to master that at all.
I am very close to giving up and going on medication, even if that means developing tolerance and dependencies.
Any suggestions?

My dog is 3 years old and everyone is telling me it is ok to give him children’s benadryl? I don’t want to give it to him unless I know its safe?
my aunt asked me if you can give dogs baby aspirin?
He is a chihuahua mix and he weighs about 20 pounds.

I’ve been living with bipolar disorder officially for almost 3 years but only took medication for the first year (trileptal). I stopped taking it and for the past 2 years I basically withdrew from society. but I’m starting college again in the summer and hopefully will have a job too. I am prone to severe panic attacks when I’m stressed and I’m always operating at a high level of anxiety everyday. I don’t want it to rule my life and i really want to get my degree. If anyone can share any similar experiences I would greatly appreciate it.

I am a single Mom and she has always slept with me. We had to live with my Grandma for 3 years in ONE room! Now, we have our own house and she has an AWESOME room. But, she REFUSES to sleep in there. How can I make her do it? Also, she doesn’t go to sleep at night. Is it safe to give her benadryl to help with the transition for a few nights anyway??

To those with bipolar disorder. If you have it does it mean you will have to take drugs for the rest of your life? My brothr’s doctor told us he will take it only for 3 years, however 3 years passed and now he’s saying he will have to be on some kind of meds for the rest of his life. He was off the meds for like 5 weeks, and he was fine, but now he prescribed him someting else. I don;t want him to take it anymore. They are killing his spirit.
He was off the drugs for like 5-6 weeks and he was fine. Why he took him back on them?

I had a discecomy 3 years ago. Minor issues since then, but in the last couple of days, I have had major problems. I wake up 3 hours into sleep with extreme pain in my leg to the point of barely being able to get out of bed and walk this morning (had to take baby steps using chair as walker). Just rolling over at night is excruciating. Going to see a doctor, but any advice would be appreciated. I sleep on my side or back with my legs 90 degree angle w/ pillow between or under my legs. Maybe sleeping on the floor would help? I just need to be able to sleep through the night and be able to function in the morning. I am in good physical condition otherwise and stretch twice daily. I have been taking ibuprohen before bed as well as using Tiger balm, a compression bandage and stretching immediately before sleep. Even advice directing me to support groups for this issue would be appreciated as I am at my wits end trying to keep functioning.

My boyfriend and I have been together for over 3 years, and I recently ( 2 months ago) began taking Paroxetine. For the past 2 weeks I have been having dreams of my bf and I breaking up. In my dreams I am usually the one to end it and he never seems to care (in the dreams). We are ok, for the most part, and we have a child together. Are my dreams a result of the medication? Or can it be that I am ready to move on?

My male irish setter, bout 3 years old, somewhat overweight, breaths real odd in his sleep.
After some research it appears to be sleep rem cycle type thing, he wags his tail and sometimes whimpers in his sleep quite frequently also.
But every time he sleeps at night his breathing is loud and irregular, and he doesn’t like sleeping away from me, but his breathing keeps me up! What do I do?
thanks
yes i do that but it starts again…and i need to wake up and get up from my bed many times at night if i were to do that everytime!
is there some other kind of solution apart from kicking the poor fellow out of my bedroom?
