I have been having problems to sleep lately. I think that is b/c of bills. But someone told me that it’s b/c I am anxious. I dont feel like I need to sleep, I stay till about 2am on the internet, and then I wake up around 6:45am w/o any problems. But during my sleep I wake up and turn and turn, and it’s hard to get some deep sleep. I work 40hrs a week and go to school but it seems like I dont need to rest. I just want to know if some of you have experienced this feeling and how took care of it. B/c I know I need to rest, but my body just doesn’t feel like I need any sleep.
Help, plz…
And even if I try to go to bed early I just cant sleep… Like yesterday, I went to bed at 1am and couldn’t sleep till aorund 2am
I dont take pills, nor sodas at any time of the day…

Mine is that he will leave the TV on in the bedroom all night long….UGH! I’m completely understanding that he needs it to go to sleep, but he "forgets" to set the timer on the TV 98% of the time and so I wake up at about 2am to infomercials blasting through the night sky and invading my REM cycle, leading me to kick him repeatedly until he finds the remote (which has usually fallen under the bed) and turns off the TV is a huff because I had the audacity to wake him!
Animal Lover – That’s my biggest pet peeve for EVERYONE….I can’t stand to hear ANYONE chew, so in order to keep harmony in our home, the TV or radio MUST be on when any eating is being done so that I can be distracted….yeah, weird I know, but the alternative is me in a near homicidal outburst!

I know I need 8-9 hours of sleep to really feel good during the day. I’m a student so I have crazy hours but if left to my own devices I’m usually up at 1pm and don’t go to bed before 4am. I’m most productive during 10pm and 4am. I have no trouble falling asleep at 4am. When I have to go to schools to do work I have a really hard time getting up at 630am and going to bed before midnight. It doesn’t matter how long I try to keep this schedule to get used to it, I just never feel good doing it. This started in HighSchool (10yrs ago). Caffeine, diet and exercise are not a factor.
Am I just a night owl or do I have a sleep disorder? My doctor just gave me sleeping pills (Ambien) and told me to take them at 10pm. It works really well but on weekends I fall right back into my usual pattern.
see…now its 4 am and I’m tired/ready for bed. If this had been a week that I had to work I wouldn’t have been asleep before 2am even though I’d been up since 630am and have to do it all over again… wtf?

I’ve been sleeping at 10am for the past week and waking up during the night at 5-6pm. I used to sleep at 2am and wake up at 12pm.
Two weeks ago my dad screamed at me for being still asleep at 1pm so each day I pretend to be asleep by turning my lights off while I do my things on my computer.
Does it affect you in anyway if you sleep at 10pm or 10am?
Thanks

Is it unhealthy to sleep at like 1am – 2am until 7am? I hate sleep and think it wastes time, especially when you can be using that time to do something constructive.
Last night I went to sleep at 4.30am and was up at 9am.
I just don’t like sleeping.

I can’t sleep normally for whatever reason.
I start trying to sleep around 2am, and usually only conk off around 6-7 am.
It’s been like this for over a year now.
Sleeping pills helped initially, but they stopped helping a few months ago.
What are the physiological causes for insomnia?

I’ve always been nightowl. So I can stay awake for hours at night with no problem. Unfortunately, even if I’ve woken up really early earlier in the day I can’t seem to go to sleep at night. Normally once I hit my bed I’m out like a light. But the trouble isn’t falling alseep, when I’m there I have no problem with that. The trouble is getting into bed. I’m always up doing other things I think I need to take care of. Therefor I totally ruin any rest I need and I feel lousy every morning. And I’ve never been a morning person, even with proper sleep.
Even though I may have gotten only four hours of sleep the previous night I’ll be exhausted in the morning. But once the morning passes I’m energized the rest of the day until really late at night. You would think being up so long and busy all day would tire me out. And I’m not a big pop drinker or anything like that. So I know caffene is not the issue either.
I think I know what the problem is. My work schedule. Some days I have be up at 4am and others I don’t get done until 2am. Thankfully that doesn’t happen back to back. But it is just enough to ruin my sleep schedule. So as much as I’d love to get on a regular schedule. That will never happen. I guess I answered my own question. I love my career to much to change that. Unfortunately there’s nothing I can do about it.

I’ve been stressed lately due to some medical issues my baby is having. I can’t fall asleep at night, sometimes until 2am and I desperately need it b/c my baby still wakes up a few times per night. I’m wondering if anyone has used chammomile while breastfeeding or any other homeopathic type remedies. I will check with my dr. before using any herbs but I want to know what has worked for others. Thanks!
