How do you deal with sleeping problems?

For the last week, I have been waking up at about 12, 1, and 2am in the morning. I can’t sleep without having a shower. Does anyone know what could be happening to me?

i got sick yesterday coughing my arms and legs hurt and my gaw starting hurting in the middle of the day. like it needed to be cracked or something. and its 2am and i still cant sleep

I’ve been having a real hard time getting to sleep every night. Sometimes I’m up till 12, 1, or 2am, and then I have to wake up at 6 every morning. But I don’t know, just can’t seem to fall asleep lately. I’ve already tried Unisom, nothing. Advil PM, nothing. Even a vitamin called Nature’s Made Melatonin. Any other good ones out there? Thanx!

Just curious. Last night, I went on a huge pub crawl. I got home and my friends and I stayed awake until 2am. I was extremely awake and not tired at all. When the Chinese delivery man came, I was still drinking. I wanted to stay awake even longer, but after I had eaten the Chinese I became very sleepy and I was no longer in the mood to socialize so I went to bed.

My little girl just turned 5 months and we’re trying to figure out if she should be on a two-nap or three-nap schedule. Right now her schedule is bedtime at 8pm (wakes once around 2am for a bottle), awake for the day at 6am, nap from 8:30-10am, nap again from 1-2pm, and then we try to give her another nap at 5pm, but lately she’s been fighting it and we have to put her to bed early at 7pm so that she doesn’t get overtired, but then that throws off her night sleep and she wakes at 5am instead of 6am. How do we transition to two naps or should we still try to keep the third nap for awhile?

How do you fall asleep at night?

I have a hard time sleeping at night. usually if I fall asleep right away I wake up an hours later and don’t fall back asleep until the next night. Other nights i dont fall asleep until 2am and then wake up at 7am. Any suggestions on how to fall asleep and stay asleep for at least 7 hours?

Lately I’ve been working nights and graveyard shifts.
I always have to drink coffee to keep me going during work but I haaate caffeine. =/

So what should a sleeping schedule be like for people who work graveyard shifts?:

This week, I work Thursday-Saturday from 9pm-2am. (at a restaurant)
Any advice?

How can I change my late sleeping habits?




I have spent the past few years of my life sleeping beyond 2AM, sometimes as late as 5AM, but it hurts my performance in school and everything else, since I would either be sleep deprived, or wake up too late to study. The hardest part is, I enjoy sleeping late. I like the peace, quiet, and the dark. This drives my roommate crazy, since he regularly sleeps at or before 2AM. What can I do to make me not sleep so late?

Is there something wrong with me?? (sleep problems)?




Last night and mostly every other night, i didn’t sleep, like at all! I went to bed at 11pm, then didn’t even fall asleep until 2am. I rolled back and forth, sat up and down, walked around my room (in the dark) lol I just couldn’t get to sleep!! Then, the next day, like after school, i fall asleep for 2-3 hours, when i’m asleep it’s like i’m IN A COMA! My dad told me that he triedto wake me up twice, i do not recall at all him being there! Like i seriously don’t remember him coming in to wake me up, but he said he did come in twice! I’m so scared! How do i not remember him coming in and moving me and practically yelling to get me up? What is up with this? How do i fix my sleeping problems? Thanks…

How do I get to sleep better?




I cant seem to get asleep until about 2am and I have to get up at 7am…I try to go to bed early and just lay there for hours. And when I wake up I feel much worse than I did when I went to bed. Not refreshed whatsoever!

Aside from getting plastered and taking sleeping pills how do I get asleep!

I get tons of exercise and have a pretty exhausting day but cant get to sleep.

PLEASE HELP!

Most days I’ll feel a little tired as the day goes on like most people. My eyes get tired and I can feel my brain slowly reacting slower. However as soon as I get in bed, I’m fully awake. I’ll toss and turn, try and lay still, do little workouts in bed to try and make myself feel tired, but I just cannot. It normally takes about one to two hours to get me to go to sleep.

On the flip side, if I lay down to take a nap during the day, I have no trouble whatsoever falling asleep. I’ll lay down and fall asleep within five minutes. The only difference between the settings in both times is the lighting outside, but I’ve tried turning on a night light at night to see if it helped me fall asleep but it just made me stay awake longer.

Recently over the past month things have gotten worse. I normally fall asleep around 2am and wake up around 10/11am feeling fully awake. But since I got out of school in december I’ve started sleeping later. I normally go to bed around 3am and wake up around 1/2pm, but instead of waking up well-rested, I wake up dead tired and sometimes sick. I’ve tried setting my alarm so I only get 7-8 hours of sleep, but I still wake up extremely tired.

Another problem I’m having while I try falling asleep at night is that my eyes open while I’m trying to fall asleep. It started happening around the same time my over sleeping problem started. While I try and fall asleep I’ll notice that my eyes slowly feel like they’re opening, yet I don’t visually notice the difference. When I put my hand up to my eyes, I can feel them half open. I now have to focus on putting pressure on my eyes to keep them closed rather than just having them close on their own.

What could be the cause of all of these problems?

Sleep problems 11 year old?




Sleep problems 11 year old boy?
I have a lovely 11 year old boy who cannot get to sleep. He has a very healthy diet, he is very settled and happy.
As a family we have tried everything to get him to sleep but even if we put him to bed early (8.30) he will read and read and not be able to relax his mind. Warm baths, warm drinks, we have tried the lot. He says that his body is crying out for sleep but his mind is active and will not give in. he is in a heavy sleep when I wake him up. what can I do to help him? He is never naughty but it really seems that he cannot ‘turn off’.
He would read until 2am if he could. please help mums and dads!

Since classes will be starting in september I need to get back into a normal sleeping schedule again. I know I never do this right so I was just wondering what other people suggest. Right now I go to bed like 1am 2am, maybe 3 in the morning and don’t wake up until 10 or 11. I need to get back into awaking up earlier because classes will be starting and I have them right bright early morning. Any suggestions?
